Since I live downtown, I try to buy gas when I am outside of Multnomah County, and definitely when I'm outside if the city, to avoid all the incremental taxes. Gas here is easily 35 cents a gallon cheaper. After filling up, I stop at the Kaady car wash (attach) which does a great job cleaning my little Smart car or my SUV, and includes access to their vacuums.

Most of the people seemed to know each other. I ordered a small iced latte with oat milk and a scone. The latte was expensive but tasted fine. The scone which is made out of house was absolutely yummy. Nicely flavored and not at all dry.
