It is a busy center so you'll be lucky to find a parking. I parked all the way at the end of the parking structure. Thankfully, I had ordered my brown sugar cream coffee online so once I got in, I just went to the pick up counter and was able to grab and go with my coffee. That first sip was like a dream. I had to stop myself from sipping it completely on my walk back to the car. I was a little concerned that this drink might be too sweet, but I was glad when I tasted it, and the brown sugar was not super overpowering. That is one thing I love about the coffee shops in Gardena is that they do not overly sweeten their drinks, even when it has something like brown sugar in it. I love that this place not only had seating inside, but it had a very good outside seating area. There was women chatting up while their kids were running around so it made it very inviting to come and relax with your family. Will definitely be back again maybe not on a Sunday this time where everybody is out and about.

I had my whole day planned out with a list of events to attend but first I wanted to stop by Patria and grab some coffee to start my morning off. Located in a parking lot next to Wilson Park on Compton Blvd and Alameda Street you'll find this nice cut lawn in front of this small white building, Patria Coffee Roaster. Depending on your time of arrival, the parking lot can be full but it's cool cuz there's also street parking available. I was able to park in the lot. After walking in I was welcomed and greeted with positive energy from 2 young ladies who I forgot their names but we'll just call them "A" and "C" lol. A guy to my right was sitting next to the window working on his laptop. And two others against the wall sipping their coffees and doing whatever on their phones. A customer was at the register ordering while another customer walked in to stand in line behind me. I let her go in front of me while I took pics and recorded footage. I like the atmosphere and space a lot. It has a very nice decor. Artwork, pictures and murals with history displayed along the walls. Grab and cold drinks available for purchase. Nice music playing that wasn't too loud but just right to complement a chill coffee shop vibe. "A" was friendly and patient as shared with her this was my first visit. As I browsed thru the coffee menu before making my selection I noticed more costumes coming in. I ordered a medium sized Americano which is $3.75 but I requested to add some hazelnut creamer as well as some almond milk which totaled out to $4.75 which was quite exceptional to me. Giving the location, the quality of service and the quality of the coffee. Not to mention to overall experience. I even thru in a $1 tip. I support the business and love the space. It feels welcoming and safe. The restroom was clean. They also have many different events held there. If you're ever in the area definitely pull up and check em' out. It's black owned as well. I actually ended up sitting there in the lot sipping my coffee while working on my video to post on social media. The coffee was good and tasteful. Didn't need any sugar. Great vibes and great coffee. You can even go the park right next door and get your steps in or just chill. I definitely recommend coming here. If you're passing thru the area or coming to the city, do yourself a favor and pull up. Check em' out. Grab you a coffee or something. It was not stiff or forced or miserable, like other coffee places that shall not be named, but it seemed like a great place to be. The energy was comfortable, the girls seemed to enjoy working there, sharing laughs and joking and talking with each other. My food was brought to my table, and my tray was picked up for me, which was appreciated. I even appreciated that when I couldn't find the napkins (they were right in front of me, I just refused to stand so I couldn't see them over the straws) I was politely guided to the tray of napkins. I came on a weekday afternoon so there wasn't any line but there were plenty of people sipping on their lattes inside and hanging out. I ordered the Vienna Matcha since it is their most popular item and I'm not from here so I wanted to try what they're most known for. The latte was so good! Not that sweet until you mixed the foam and even then it wasn't overly sweet. It was just right. The girl helping me seemed very sweet and kind and ready to answer any questions I had. Since I was on the road I wanted to also try one of their pastries so I got the mushroom croissant with cheese and that tasted so good especially warmed up. It was like having a mini pizza. I'm glad I got to try this spot!

For May, TLC Coffee Co. was featured. This vendor had a cute setup and it was a sweet duo of mom and daughter. Ya'll already know lavender drinks are my thing of the moment so I had the iced honey lavender latte. I could not taste any honey but the lavender syrup, which is homemade, was good. The coffee beans, however, just didn't come through on this drink though, hence the three . So, for me it was just another latte lacking that sparkle I look for in my coffee. Glad I got the chance to try this vendor but I wouldn't seek them out at further events.
