Ahhh finally found my fav viet coffee in South Bay! It's a good amount of sweetness and lots of caffeine which is just what I needed. We ordered the Maicheese cream and the one with Biscoff on top, both so tasty and super strong! Wish I had room to try the pastries and other drinks like their matcha and fruit teas. They have a beautiful space inside and outdoors with cute chairs and umbrella!

Cute interior! Love the variety of Vietnamese coffee drinks and that they make their purees in house. Staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating. The drinks were decent but nothing special, a safe pick if you were already in the area. PISTACHIO BUN [ 6 / 10 ] - nice flaky crust that had a cheese savory tast and was not overly sweet. Not a fan of the cream though, that part was a bit too sweet. STRAWBERRY MATCHA [ 4 / 10 ] - matcha was bland and tasteless. The strawberry puree was very fresh and tasty though. Just wish the matcha that came with it was better. BLACK SESAME LATTE[ 7 / 10 ] - strong coffee flavor , a good choice for back sesame fans that like a strong Vietnamese coffee taste. - lots of free street parking - seating for groups, duos, and solos - Bathrooms available - WiFi available - Outlets available - Sells both drinks and pasteries

Perfect way to start my Sunday morning! I got the iced matcha latte here with oat milk and enjoyed it very much. It wasn't too sweet and had great matcha flavor. Very refreshing too. The Phin Smith Black Coffee was quite strong, rich and bold. Definitely will wake you up in the morning haha. The ham and cheese croissant was very flaky and paired well with the drinks.

MAI, not to be confused with Amai in Torrance.... This is the better place anyways. I asked for black tea, I ended up with black coffee ?! I told the girl 3x I guess she couldn't understand that I wanted tea and not coffee. It's okay, mistakes happen. The other gentleman working the coffee bar fixed my order and let me keep the black coffee. Although I didn't drink it. I didn't want coffee lol. Let alone plain black coffee. Black tea was yummy! I enjoyed it and thought it was good. I did spill it on my white pants ofc so RIP me. This was due to the drink being made so quick and visible tea under the cap that was seeping through. I didn't end up with milk hands cause the container wasn't sealed properly and was made messy. Seating inside and outside. The aesthetic is cute and fun. They also do sell pastries here. They have a restroom and plenty plaza parking. Although that plaza road is atrocious just be careful driving in there.

Location: It's in the same plaza as Tokyo Central so there's plenty of parking. Ambiance: There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Clean, modern aesthetic. One gender neutral restroom. Drink: I ordered the Ube cream matcha and an employee told me to mix it well. The Ube flavor came through but barely tasted the matcha. The drink just tasted water down at the first sip. Price: $8 for a drink. Expensive given the drink quality. It was an additional $1 if you wanted oat milk, which I did not get. Service: The employee taking my order was friendly and helpful. You can also order from the kiosks but I wanted to pay in cash. Overall, not worth spending $8 for a lackluster matcha drink.

I feel like the drink quality has dipped since my first visit in 2025; the tea has become noticeably more bitter lately. I used to consider this a strong contender against Chagee, but after my last experience, it's probably not at that level anymore. On the plus side, the service was fast and parking is decent since it's located in a large plaza with plenty of other shops. The ambiance is much better suited for catching up with friends than for studying, making it a nice spot for a quick social hangout even if the tea isn't quite what it used to be.

Parking is easy to find. It looks super busy. Theres a lot of people when we were walking in on a Saturday at 5 PM. Lots of seating interior and exterior. There was no line and you can order on two different kiosk or at the counter. Peach Oolong Milk Tea had both flavor but peach was on first taste then the milk tea overpowered the peach and was a bit bitter. We had to ask for more sugar. Cheese coffee biscoff was very strong. Mainly coffee strong and even without adjusting sweetness, it wasn't sweet. Yuzu drink was sour but sweet at the same time. It has lemon, kamquat and mint in the drink. Somehow not as refreshing as I'd hope. This place wasn't as I expected. All these random drinks were on the menu but they might just be popular for their matcha only. I'd try but for matcha or black sesame coffee one last try.

    Pastries, self-ordering kiosk.

Very friendly service, but not too many choices for diabetics. The Taiwanese milk tea without the sugar was delicious. It seemed to be a nice and fun atmosphere to hang out even though I was just passing by, will be back when I am in the area again.

Such a hidden gem in Gardena! This café is absolutely beautiful with the cutest aesthetic and a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. The pastries were incredible--the pistachio pastry was rich, flaky, and packed with flavor, and the chocolate croissant was perfectly buttery with just the right amount of chocolate.

My boyfriend and I went to try this place and we loved it! The staff were really friendly and this coffee spot gives off a calm and peaceful vibe! It seems like a great place to study and get work done! Theres quite a bit of seating inside and outside the establishment! The brown sugar cream coffee I got was creamy and sweet! The taste is just like a brown sugar milk tea, which makes sense, but I didn't expect it to! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Went to Gardena to check out Mai Coffee and Tea House. Upon entering the store they have an opening seating. Rather you want to sit on a couch or table they have it for you. They serve a variety of coffee, matcha and teas. I ordered the double matcha, pineapple osmanthus oolong tea and avomango glow. Their double matcha is made with Straus organic milk and all their drinks use fresh fruit. Their drinks ranges from $7-$8 and pastries are about $6. The caffeine level on the drinks are through the roof as it helped me stay awake and alert all day without any crash. You don't need to make any adjustments to the sweetness as the drinks aren't too sweet. Their pastries are massive. They were the size of my face. The cashier will ask if you want it warmed up. Upon ripping into the croissant it was warm and super flakey. The almond croissant had an event amount of almond paste throughout the croissant. It was buttery and decadent. The place is located in a plaza with Tokyo Central and had plenty of parking.

I ordered the Large Black Sesame Cream Coffee (less sweet), and it was absolutely worth it. The price was very reasonable for the size. The coffee itself was delicious!! Rich, flavorful, and strong just the way I like it. The black sesame cream had a great flavor that paired perfectly with the coffee. The less sweet option was balanced and let the coffee flavor really shine through. Service was quick, and my drink came out fast. The shop was also very cute, clean, and spacious, with plenty of seating inside. Overall, a great spot with quality drinks. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area!

This spot is a dream for anyone who appreciates quality ingredients and clean flavors. Every drink is crafted with care, using rich Straus Organic milk and house-made fruit purées like fresh strawberry. No artificial syrups or processed sugars here, which really makes a difference in taste. We order the: brown sugar coffee (Cà Phê Sữa Đường Đen) passion mango fruit tea strawberry matcha Their commitment to sourcing high-quality tea and coffee beans from Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan truly shines through in every sip. You can taste the authenticity and depth in each drink. The space itself is modern and cozy, with a welcoming atmosphere and a great outdoor seating area. They also offer a variety of pastries to pair with your drinks, making it an easy go-to spot. Overall, a refreshing take on a coffee and tea spot that prioritizes real ingredients, bold flavors.

I really like being able to place my order this way so that I can see pictures of exactly what I'm getting, see all of the options and pricing for customizations up front, and easy checkout. I got a hot tea latte and a jasmine iced tea drink. My drinks were made quickly and tasted fresh. The space was very clean and enjoyable to work in. There was soft music playing that really heightened the ambiance. There's a long booth with single tables each with a single chair on the other side so great for working solo or in pairs. Or if you have a larger group, you could probably push the tables together. Would definitely come back to enjoy a nice tea beverage next time I'm in the area and need a quiet space to get some work done!

Review #990 2026-060…read more Drinks Order: Peach Jasmine Tea with Crystal Boba $5.60 Passionfruit Green Apple Refresher with Lychee Jelly $6.60 Peach Refresher with Crystal Boba $7 Cafe Pruvia is located on the east side of Pacific Square Shopping Center while traversing over a bunch of speed bumps to reach the cafe. With several boba/tea shops in the same plaza, I'm guessing they're trying to capitalize on the high foot traffic from Tokyo Central & Main supermarket, & their competitors ("boba clusters")? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ On my first visit, I wasn't sure what to order & saw someone exit with a bright green drink; the cashier said it's one of their more popular refreshers: Passionfruit Green Apple Refresher, & ordered it with lychee jelly. It's basically a slushy with passionfruit & green apple, but the flavor isn't as sharp, though it paired well with the jelly. I love peach, & their Peach Jasmine Tea is perfect for the summer... light, refreshing, & aromatically alluring with the combo of jasmine & peach. I prefer the Peach Refresher with Crystal Boba, which I claimed for my Local By Toast (LBT) $5 birthday reward. This slush has a notable peach flavor & crystal boba tastes better in this icy drink because it maintains its soft, chewy texture whereas tapioca pearls usually hardens & becomes tough after longer icy exposure. The menu is compact, consisting of: milk & flavored teas, non-caffeinated drinks, swirls, refreshers, crema (milk smoothies), coffees & coffee lattes, & tea lattes, with moderate prices in this competitive neighborhood. It's a decent selection but nothing that I considered unique enough for dedicated loyalty with other options in this center. Not the friendliest of service, but they are fast. The cafe is quite spacious with tables & chairs lining around the perimeter... with free WiFi, there's usually a crowd hanging out, particularly during the weekend evenings. If they provided board games, would that be additional entertainment to entice customers to stay a little longer & have a few more drinks? Hmmm... Cafe Pruvia uses LBT for their loyalty rewards, & program rules allows you to earn 1 point for every $1 spent, & earning 165 points for a $5 discount (or 3%). I'm not a frequent patron so I haven't checked my rewards status in a while... I came back recently when they dropped a $5 birthday reward. That's when I checked my account & saw that I only tallied 3 points after multiple trips; their tracking system is glitchy & I don't plan to fix it since there's no way I'll spend enough to earn the next $5 reward. Opened during the pandemic lockdown for nearly 6 years, Cafe Pruvia announced that they will be permanently closing on Sunday, 05/24/26, but will maintain next door sister, Pruvia Coffee Bar. If you're a fan of their teas & smoothies, this is your last chance to say goodbye.

The outside has a really cute outdoor seating area with the little decoration on the top. Sorry I do not know what that is called. Maybe a few would come sometimes, but the place is usually very quiet. I have no complaints for the service. Everything was done well on the part of the staff. The ice cream was sweet. I ordered a Dalgona ice cream. Mostly because, I was thinking of squid games. But ended up loving it. Ice cream was soft serve, very smooth and very sweet. It is a soothing addition after a meal. The syrup was delicious, a little strong but something of my preference. The dalgona bits they added to the top were so crispy and crunchy, and I loved tasting it on top of the smooth ice cream. Enjoyed, but also wished the portion was a little bigger. Thank you Honeymee, for the drinks and ice cream.
