Today I zipped over from Lake Oswego after work and picked up a bag full. I purchased another WinCo shopping bag to transport. I usually am strolling around the aisles after midnight, but today I was among the living. It is kinda nice not having to dodge flatbeds and weave between freight stacks.

Yes, the cleanliness is because it's new, but the spaciousness is due to the design. Props for that. Well stocked with all the typical Trader Joe's items, as stores are pretty universal. Trader's isn't we here I do all my shopping, but when I'm looking for cheese, crackers and charcuterie items, this is where I go. I also love their affordable bagged salads, sugar snap peas, Persian cucumbers, small curd cottage cheese, and eggs - all affordable weekly purchases. Can always find decent wine at affordable prices, too. When they are offering tastings, I always give them a try and discover something new. And of course the 99 cent greeting cards are a steal! Plus the fresh flowers and plant section not to be missed. currently they have bromeliads which have one single bright orange, red or yellow bloom that lasts for months. I have about a half dozen! While I don't live in this area, when I go to have my car serviced or I'm visiting friends in Oregon City, my car automatically turns into the parking lot. Did I mention the easy ample parking?

Some that I particularly like are the instant coffee, great for my afternoon iced coffee drink; their pasta is wonderful and they offer many shapes, not just the norms, the cavatelli being one of my favorites; tortilla chips, black beans, Thai Curry cashews, veggie straws - just to name a few. Like all WFs, they have an exceptional prepared food area with lots of delicious mains and fixings. The one thing I'm not a fan of is the roasted chicken. I've bought dozens and they are always dry. Not sure what's up with that because everything else is really good. Bakery section has tempting treats, lots of grainy breads and even gluten free options. The cheese area is fantastic, always something new to try. Because of the prices, I can't afford to shop here for my everyday items, but I come when I want high quality meat, cheese, and produce. How long has this been here? I'm gonna have to remember where this is so I can come back". Well, today, I drove around the neighborhood looking for this place with only a vague recollection of its location. I found it! 3D's is exactly what you want in a neighborhood market. Operator owned, the family clearly lives there, and they are just so nice. They pack a ton of good things (food, drinks of all kinds, canned goods, snacks, and all sorts of other sundries), and I was absolutely floored by the quality of their selection. The inside was very clean and organized, and despite the extensive selection, it was still very neat. I've always had a soft spot for neighborhood markets, and 3D's is absolutely perfect. I will be coming here more often in the future!

They 'weren't friendly at all, barely smiled, didn't engage much besides "what are you having," and they didn't look like they wanted to be there at all. The another time there was a different person who took our car side order and it was only slightly better but not much. Drinks were good, caramilizer was the best one, the cookie dough drink was eh.

But usually a green juice or an orange carrot juice and always a wheat grass shot. We stop we by Einstein's for a rare bagel breakfast after I was out of town for a long workweek and I thought - wow - a juice and a wheatgrass shot would be really good today! So I headed over and when I got in - no oranges or fresh fruit, no flats of wheatgrass. Nothing fresh! Ok, ok it sounds like this is not new news - ok. But for me complete surprise! No longer do they do any fresh juices. The employees kindly looked at me like I had a third eye when I mentioned a green juice or carrot and orange juice. So I asked for a recommendation and got some sort of peach smoothie that is for immunity - they assured me it had really good orange juice concentrate It was ok, but just ok-ish: They have some form of pre-made wheatgrass-esq shot in a bottle that tasted more of sweetness and candy than health.
