Could not visit CA in the summer and in hot-as-Hades 29 Palms and not pick up one of my childhood favorites, the Slushy! Did not care for the people loitering outside, but it was in the daytime on a busy street so I decided the reward was worth the risk. The store is clean, there were 4 slushy flavors, I chose the Coke. It was very light and airy, more so than I remembered. The granules of ice in the old slushies was gone and the mixture is really more of a slushy than it was in days gone by. They also have a variety of hot snack foods as well as sweet and salty favorites such as the Ranch Corn nuts I picked up.

The rudest employee I've ever met anywhere. His name is Alexandro or Tony. Will never go back

This used to be my favorite 7-Eleven to stop that. I will come in for Joshua Tree three times a week and that was my first stop for my six red balls and a bag of chips or a hotdog or something like that. This time when I came in I asked the clerk and the bag of chips was buy one get one free because the sign I was sitting by. He looked at me and said do your own homework. It's not my job to do your own home work. Then I told him what's your deal man, last time I came in here you were rude to me this time you're rude to me. He said well I don't like people like you coming into her down yourself on me like this any points to my do I am dressed. OK it's 105° outside I have a button down shirt on and my shirt was unbutton when I went in. He said go someplace else if you want to dress like this get out of here we don't want you here go to the beach. I was speechless I was pissed I was fuming inside . So I asked where the manager was and he replied he's not here I said I'll be back. I paid my bill and left. He said his name is Alejandro, but later I found out from another employee that his name is really Tony. About a block down the street I notice he didn't give me my buy two get one free Red Bull he charge me for both my Red Bulls that should've been free. So I went back I taped him the whole time. Oh he was very nice because he knew he's on tape but he still not giving my free Red Bulls told me to come back when a manager is here maybe the manager can do it. I just left. Very disappointed because this was my favorite Red Bull and I was treated with such respect every time I went in there by an older gentleman and a younger guy name Sean and then this other guy Tony treat me like I am trash or homeless. I'm not sure when I'll be back to the store again. That was the owner of the store, The only way I would ever come back to the store is if Tony either apologize to me and he knows who I am or does not work there ar

Letting people shop and pay without mask. Guy came in without a mask. The clerk asked him if he had one the guy says he does but the clerk didn't make him go get it he just let him go ahead and buy his beer and leave. There were at least 4 other people inside the store with this unmasked man watching this whole thing unfold as the clerk did nothing about it. Never coming to this store again. They do not care about people's health only about getting money.

Happy to report that these days they're always open! The bread is incredible, the pastries delicious, and the sandwiches are high quality too. Their current GF options are either not tasty or not great breakfast items (almond cookie, coconut macaroon and a very hard to eat bread loaf). I know from personal experience with Pamela's GF baking mix just how easy it is to make a delicious chocolate GF banana bread that is just as good as the wheat version. Luna could probably even make one where their wheat eaters wouldn't even notice the difference. Anywho, that is my gf fantasy. In conclusion, if your body can tolerate sourdough, get to Luna! It's divine! If not, you can always get a delicious gluten-free doughnut next door at Matson Ambroise.

I told her I wanted an omelet and two seconds later asked again. The iced coffees were made in a hurry and looked as such and lacked flavor. We got in and sat around 1240 and had waited a staggering 50 minutes without any food nor anyone coming to check in on us and see if we were doing alright. When we finally questioned our order, it was revealed that one of their cooks quit that morning... To which I feel like you should probably disclose those details to your customers up front don't you think? Long after we were about to leave, she still asked if we can wait 5 minutes more to finish to which finally was the last straw and we walked out. On our way out, we took notice that we were the only ones not eating....

A very cordial, pleasant, and kind young lady working there just the other day. A surprisingly lovely glazed donut I might say. But I kept looking around there thinking "in a small town like this how can they even sell enough donuts to keep this joint open but they obviously do". I could think of some simple things that could be added, but I wouldn't want to give away my secrets. All throughout the United States there are donut shops that have the same recipe apparently, not sure how that works? A lot of them are Asian run in the San Francisco area. I always laughed at the signs that would say "Donuts and Chinese Food" before walking in I would always say to myself: "Nothing like a good egg fu yung jelly doughnut"! Yeah, this spot could use a little more hipness for just spending a few dollars on some paint and artwork, etc. there would probably be a line more often. I don't know. I wasn't there on a weekend. Also, the beautiful new laundromat or remodeled laundromat next-door should really be a good revenue source for the hungry laundry goer....... But certainly grab a doughnut. They're very tasty. So keep heading up the road a bit to Joshua Tree as there are many cute little shops in the three block area there which I guess is called downtown Joshua Tree? I really dig all the new modern prefabs that are popping up which appeared to be primarily Airbnb joints(?)- a lot of style man! Yeah, I'll be back. I met some really cool people in that couple of blocks. If you haven't been there then hop in your car and drive up there right now and get yourself a nice little jelly doughnut...... "Thank ya. The turkey, while good, wasn't freshly carved, which took a little away from the "special" feel. And while the breakfast sando was light and all alone on the plate, the way the mayo fused the flavors together was delicious. But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. Overall, this is a certified foodie stop: quality over quantity: taste over filling up.
