Every time I come to the AMPM for gas it's a true crapshoot. Pumps don't work! Closed down and the one that are functional the card readers are screwed up and you have to use another pump to get gas! Use to be a great place convenient no issues! Management is severely lacking and incompetent! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Pumps are routinely out of service, and ones marked as functional also have issues. When you go in to ask for a reset the cashiers have a poor attitude, and you have to worry about someone else pumping on your card. Better prices at Berri Bros, avoid this spot. read more

-10 Stars. My truck was damaged by a little yellow chain the size of my car key that was put across the entrance to the car wash on July 30th at 9:00am. The traffic cone, that is clearly out there because the establishment and management know its a hazard when the chain is up, was sitting in the planter bed to my left when I realized I had driven through this chain. It damaged my grill on a brand new Dodge Ram 1500 truck. I called the area manager Robin Rose, before she would even listen to me, gather information or agree to meet with me to see my pictures, she said "we had the cone across the entrance to the wash, its on video, we cant help you". I asked to see the video because it was a 1000% lie, it was in the planter, (and I have an employee who is a witness), she said "you will need a court order to see it". I have been a patron of this store for as long as I can remember. I used to work for this store at it's prior location. And let me tell you, these cashiers are not very educated. When a customer goes in and buys a drink, gives the cashier a twenty and some change (16¢) bcuz the total was $14.84 and asks for $5 back and the cashier looks confused so the customer breaks it down for them, so they call over two more employees one of which said he was a manager and the customer, who just wanted his $5 bill was having to explain it again and the employees refused to sell him his items and asked him to leave and not come back. I was appalled! The customer stated he comes in 2-3times a day to give them the business and they kicked him out bcuz they were...what? Embarrassed? Still couldn't get it? Idk. Crazy shit. read more

The new dude there with the L.A tattoo needs training from someone that actually gives a Sh*÷. I knew I had $114 or so on my card, grabbed a fee sandwiches and some drinks he miss scanned a sandwich about 10 times then he actually stopped playing around and finally got it to scan, $ came out to like $34 he saidbi owe $6, I told him oh let's just take 2 sandwiches off so ge did and now it's $21 and says "you still owe $6". What the heck dude?! I left pretty annoyed. Prices already change on cigarettes every day (usually depends on the cashier) but I know what they're doing, it's bull but I'll deal with 75cents here n there, this guy literally didn't care and neither did his coworkers that he was trying to first rip me off and then he pretty much demanded or I was sh*+ out of luck. read more

This Arco AM/PM is on par with all the other Arco AM/PMs I've ever been to anywhere. The one plus is this station didn't charge me the $0.35 or $0.45 fee to use a credit card as they usually do. Like the other stations, the outside of this AM/PM wasn't very clean. Cigarette butts, litter, need to hose down the pump areas, empty trash cans, etc. I really didn't want to come here, but we just needed to stop for gas and just be on our way. At the nozzle, they didn't have a thing to keep the handle up to keep pumping. Also on par with the other AM/PMs. We usually go to Costco or QuikTrip to get gas, but neither were available in Yucca Valley that we saw on Highway 62. Didn't try to use the restroom, so don't know if that or the store was clean or not. read more

Today, I made my last stop at the ARCO/AM/PM in Yucca Valley at Church St. & Hwy 62. I needed to buy diesel fuel. Several of the diesel pumps had "Out of Service" bags covering them. I drove around the building, and found a bay with an active diesel pump - being used by a gent in a Black Silverado. So, I pulled in behind him and waited for him to finish. He left. I pulled forward. It was obvious to all that I had been waiting respectfully for my turn. When I start to approach the pump, a guy in a Blue Honda Odyssey or Toyota Previa van, pulled up beside me, and gestured to me that he was going to pull into the same spot. I pulled up to the diesel pump. This dude started honking his horn at me aggressively, and flipping me off. It was nasty, honestly. There were lots of "regular fuel pumps" available to him, but he chose to harrass me with his horn and flipping me off. I told him I needed diesel, and I'd finish as quickly as I could. He continued his harrassment. A woman next to me asked if I needed help, she told him I needed the diesel fuel, that's why I couldn't move forward. He gave her the "finger" treatment too. Then, man who had been in the Black Silverado came back to the station, no kidding, and tried to talk to him. In frustration, this kind gent, a real man in the best sense of the word, just said he'd tried to talk to him, but he wasn't listening, and I thanked him with a wave. Meanwhile, not ONE employee from the gas station came out to check on things. Really? The female stranger who stood by to be sure I was safe, stayed until I was done pumping. I don't know what excuse the employees at AM/PM can offer. There is NO WAY they didn't know this was going on. So, to the Random Strangers who stepped up to help me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And, AM/PM - SHAME ON YOU! Lots of gas available on Hwy 62. read more

kid at the register asked to scan my license when i tried to buy a beer. when I asked why, He said and I quote, "its the law" lol omg really? so i asked which law that was, ( there is no such law) and told him that whoever told him that there is a law requiring him to scan an id to sell beer lied to him. He got offended and told me it was his boss and that shes a woman. Place is relatively clean and maybe has the best prices in town but not when they put a $150 authorization hold on my checking account for $30 in gas. Yes I said a ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS!!! Saw no signs anywhere on this. This hold also did not go away until the next day. Most stations hold a buck or so for a hour or so. Was really starting to wonder if I had been the victim of fraud. Glad I checked my bank balance (for another reason) and caught that AM/PM had "borrowed" almost all my money or I would of used that account for other purchases which would of resulted in embarrassing card declines or overdrafts. I understand the reason for authorization holds but if you are going to have them for this obscene amount of money you should have flashing neon signs telling people about it. Hands down cheapest gas and diesel prices in Yucca Valley. The convenience store is well stocked and there is a nice automatic car wash. It's SUPER busy though and even with all the pumps, can be a bit chaotic. Everyone is in a hurry here; for the life of me I have no idea what anyone is rushing off to in this area. So beware. In the last six months I have witnessed two fender benders, three super close calls and I don't know how many other dangerous maneuvers. Used to be issues with the pumps and the machines but noticed that since they recently updated all the pumps; less problems of late. read more

Cheap and quick carwash. However, the carwash needs some routine service and maintenance to keep it working better. The water jets dont seem to be spraying properly or hard enough to clean as well as they should. Also, it REALLY, REALLY needs to be cleaned regularly. It's really nasty. read more

I pulled up to et gas at the Arco AMPM, then I asked if the car wash would hurt trucks on the intercom and no answer came after three times, then I went into the store, to find an older woman saying she could not hear me, but yes, the carwash was fine for trucks. I bought and paid for the carwash. I drove around the back, put in my code, then drove into the carwash till the lights turned red. The brush arms came forward, to reach the front then around the sides and then back to the front again. Then the overhead brush went over the truck. I waited till the rinse and wax was applied, then the light turned green. I proceeded to the dryer, where there was NOT enough air to effectively dry the truck, so I got out after driving well outside of the carwash, and used two small hand towels to dry it. As I came around the front to the driver's side fender there were major scrapes, down to the undercoat on the fender in three places and on the lower driver's door. I went inside, a cashier tried to call the manager who did not answer and was not on site. They and we took photographs of the damage. The cashier said this happens not very often. I gave her my insurance information. I waited for the manager to call me back. Her name was/is Robin. She flatly denied any responsibility, stating that only foam hits the truck. A complete and abstruse lie. She said this about four or five times to me. She was there to protect the image and money made off the damaging car wash at any cost to the customer. DO NOT EVER USE THIER CAR WASH. IT DOES MAJOR DAMAGE TO TRUCKS AND THE MANAGEMENT WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I had to take my truck to an auto body place recommended by my insurance when I filed the incident claim. There it sits. Damaged. I will never go back to any automated car wash ever again because of this experience. read more
