I've passed this restaurant hundreds of times. I read the menu, decided it sounded bougie with over priced food so never went in. I attended a wedding celebration there on Thursday and am happy to report I was wrong. The staff was professional and welcoming. It was pretty chaotic with people randomly showing up. They took it all in stride. We were offered water and drinks immediately as we waited for the bride and groom. While we had a "set" menu, every option sounded delicious. Finally the happy couple joined us and we could order for real! I doubled down ordering both hot crab dip and crab cakes. Hot rolls. Yes and they were fantastic. The dip was good. Our servers brought out to go containers almost immediately. It wasn't possible to eat all the food available. I ordered a blue margarita. Strong and yummy. Tasted the crab cake which was good as well. The broccoli seemed an afterthought. Cooked well but NO SEASONING! Who does that? All in all it was a wonderful celebration with family and friends. Inexpensive street parking as well as convenient garage parking near. Upon entry SUPER CROWDED. College students and young adults everywhere. I attended a surprise retirement gathering that was set up in a back private room. It was set up with two tables that seated 10 people per table. The room was decorated super cute and they allowed a customized menu for our party. Based on the menu that was selected, it was $75 per person for a 2 course meal with select unlimited nonalcoholic beverages. If you wanted an adult beverage you had to start your own separate tab which wasn't a problem. I got cream of crab soup for my appetizer and the Caesar Salad with Shrimp and lump crab meat plus tomatoes. The cream of crab soup was just ok, it became water after a few spoon fulls and it wasn't very much crab meat. However, the salad was absolutely delicious We had several servers taking care of us and one of the server's name was Martin (Marty). They were all great and checked on us often. I would definitely return and keep the private room in mind for a future occasion. There is street parking if you can find a spot or there is a parking garage nearby which I used. I was happy to find out they have a weekend happy hour that runs from 11-5. Talk about a generous offer. Plenty of appetizers and drink specials. I had the rack of lamb chops. It only came with three but that was enough to nibble on while I waited. They had a good flavor and cooked medium as I requested. The drinks are good and strong and the food is always good! I usually get the wings, lamb chops, Caesar salad and occasionally the crab egg rolls. But the waiter messed up our order for shrimp parm. But they corrected it and brought the right sandwiches. The mozzarella sticks were good. The fried shrimp wasn't battered in house they were boxed. 88th Birthday for Grandma I planned a private dining brunch for my Grandma's 88th birthday. Booking was very easy , I filled out the form online and someone contacted me the same day to discuss details. My first contact was super nice and communicative. I was able to book my party or 15 with a proposed invoice to share with the family . They followed up the day before to make sure my head count was accurate. I dined here twice in one week. 5pm on a Wednesday and 9pm on a Friday. I made reservations for the Wednesday visit, and the Friday visit was walk-in, but both times we were seated quickly even with the hustle and bustle. Overall service is really good. The ambience is calm and busy at the same time. The restaurant really appeals to all age groups, but as you could imagine the later dining on Friday had more of a rowdy crowd. They have happy hour twice a day and specials on food daily. For appetizers I went with the boom boom shrimp and crab dip. The boom boom shrimp was good but the crab dip was more cream cheese than anything. I wish there was a bit more crab meat in it. For my entrées I tried shrimp Alfredo and I did not like it at all. They relied to heavily on the Parmesan to make this dish superior and they missed the mark. I also had salmon burger with fries and that was amazing. You can tell the salmon burgers are made fresh and the flavor profile is top tier. I also ordered buffalo wings fried hard and I highly recommend. For cocktails I tried the pineapple martini and that was 8 out of 10, red sangria 2 out of 10, white sangria 8.5 out of ten. I also requested a red devil which they did not have on the menu but they were able to make it and it was delicious 10 out of 10. The first night we ordered several of them the second night we were told that it could not be made. Since we were just there a few days earlier and had the drink that response was a bit shocking and we asked to speak to the manager. He (his name was M) came over and said he was the one that actually made it for us the first time we were there,. He said because that night was so busy the bartenders currently working didn't have the capacity to make it for us and he said that he would make one, but that he wouldn't be able to continuously make it as he was helping deal with the business rush. We were satisfied with his response. The first night we were there celebrating my cousins birthday and the server brought out complimentary cheesecake with Happy Birthday written in strawberry syrup. I really like 7 West, however tonight I was a little disappointed. They close at 11. We got there at 10:05. We were told by the hostess that the kitchen was closing in 10-15 min. Then she directed us over to the other side of the bar to sit. We sat down at a table that wasn't clean with the hopes of just placing our orders quickly and heading out. We asked another bartender was it ok for us to sit where we were, he seemed unsure but said it was fine and spoke to a waitress to come over to us. First let me say that I love this place and frequent often. I have been to countless birthday parties here and have never not enjoyed myself. I had to finally do an updated review because the food here is just so good. From the lamb chops, to the crab dip, you just can't go wrong with this place. Aside from popular items, they have true Greek food which is huge plus for me as it seems to be quite authentic. Ambiance wise, it's basically a bustling sports bar. MAybe it's not the best first date spot, as it can be a little noisy. Any other hang out is pretty much a go. The service is usually spot on and it's located In the central Towson area.
