Extremely Disappointed -- Loyal Customer Treated Poorly: I've been a loyal customer at Yesh for years, even held my Sheva Brachos here and used to come weekly. But after today's experience, I won't be returning unless the situation is made right. The person preparing my shawarma was clearly new and overfilled the salad, leaving no room for the full portion of meat I paid for. I politely asked her to remove some salad so she could add the rest of the meat, and before she could even respond, the mashgiach abruptly stepped in and refused in a rude, dismissive way. His tone was completely uncalled for, especially when I was calmly trying to explain that I just wanted what I paid for. Not only was I shorted on the meat, but I was treated with total disrespect. That kind of behavior drives away loyal customers. The mashgiach was out of line and should not be interacting with paying customers, frankly, he should be replaced if Yesh wants to keep its good name and stay in business. At the very least, I expect Yesh to make this right with a proper shawarma meal, meat-filled as it should have been, along with the fries and drink I ordered, on the house. That's the bare minimum for how this situation should be handled. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it. read more

Place is Fire, we were here again, and i got me a Falafel and Shawarma plate this time. Chicken and Beef Shawarmas were tasty and moisty. Nothing dried out or overcooked. This is some of the best Kosher you will get here. Nice staff and owners, we will be back again. read more

Look, I appreciate what they are trying to do in a suburban town in Maryland. We stopped in after running some errands for a snack. So I'll do the highlights. Located in a tiny what you can I guess describe as a strip mall next to a domino's pizza. Its pita, falafel and pickles are great. Actually the pita is quite lovely with its chewy soft interior. Now the hummus, what a disappointment. I think the flaws are in what I can only assume is bad olive oil, lack of acid. It came out in a odd green color in a pool of unflavored oil. The hummus falafel dish comes with 2 pitas and fries. But the fries were frozen fries that weren't even fried well. I asked for a side of lemon juice to fix the hummus. And the service was lovey. My reco: remove the fries if you're not going to fry them well and fix the hummus by using good olive oil. read more

First visit. The only plus was the nice service and big portions which deserves these two stars. Had Shawarma on Pita and on Hummus + Salad plate. The taste of the food in all dishes was awful. Small but good menu with falafel, shawarma and the like. The side salads that go into the pita were tasty, and portion size were good too. The pita was fresh and excellent. Ordered the shawarma plate, which was turkey. It was a little on the well done, more crusty than expected given the number of orders going out the door but I would order it again. Value wise, the prices were reasonable. Service was also good although rushed a bit which wasn't necessary since there was no one behind us waiting to order. Stopped in for dinner tonight - our first visit. Had heard really good things, wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment we arrived, there was an immediate sense of the welcoming environment. Kind and attentive staff and lots of recommendations and information about what to order. I shared the meat humus with my husband, then he ordered the mixed grill with rice. The rice was absolutely delicious: well seasoned and very flavorful. Same for the grill which was chicken and onions. I had the classic schnitzel With potatoes. Schnitzel was prepared perfectly, crisp exterior and the chicken very tender. Delicious potatoes! We also shared a plate of mixed salads with coleslaw, shredded red cabbage, spicy carrot slices, garbanzo bean salad, grilled eggplant etc. Highly recommend and will be back again soon! read more

We've been here for lunch and it was great but the last 2 times I got carry out for dinner it was not great. The falafel tastes as if it was sitting for hours and I got 2 meals to go and they gave us our sides in one container even though we ordered different sides. The prices are outrageous and to be that cheap with the sides was disappointing. The fries cost $7 and they are just frozen fries defrosted. As an Israeli family it's nice to find places to eat that taste like home but $25 for a falafel meal is insane! read more

The food is incredible and very authentic!! Got the shawarma lafa which is the burrito-like wrap and my husband got the kabob in pita. I definitely recommend both. I prefer the lafa because I feel like it's a little bigger. The shawarma was very well seasoned and tasted amazing.
