We racked our brains and purchased the Farm Party, which surprised me since I love Riesling and Rosé, theirs is ok at best. The strawberry and blackberry ciders were subtle and natural tasting. After buying a couple cans of them, the ingredient label disappointed me. Their experimental cider (chocolate cherry) tasted like neither of those flavors, gave it to my husband to finish, as it was the only beverage I found bordering on unpalatable. Being from SW Michigan where we can get to about 50 wineries in less than 40 minutes, I wasn't expecting Cascade Winery to be in an industrial type complex. But I was pleasantly surprised that the tasting room was pretty nice and quite large. They have lots of seating in the tasting room and another room for private events. Our pourer was the son of the owner. He was very knowledgeable and fun to speak with. We tried all the reds, a few whites, and a specialty wine. They were all very good. Cascade Winery doesn't grow their own grapes. A good portion come from Michigan and others come from California. The winery is also known as the Jaden James Brewery. We did not taste any of their beers or their mead. We came home with three bottles - Raspberry Chocolate Silk, Symphony Blush, and a Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm excited to share them with my friends.

The entire family came, the weather was perfect, the kids played board games, and the adults actually got to relax for a minute, which honestly felt like a small miracle. The staff were incredible. Genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met. They were welcoming, helpful, and so much fun that before long we were singing along with them like we had known them forever. And the boy band playlist was absolutely fantastic. I'm talking the kind of playlist that has you suddenly questioning why you ever stopped listening to boy bands in the first place. When I Want It That Way came on, there was really only one appropriate response: tell me why. The ciders were crisp, refreshing, and really enjoyable. Between the food trucks, outdoor seating, fire pits, string lights, board games, music, and just the overall atmosphere, this is the kind of place that makes you want to stay awhile. We kept saying we should probably head out soon, but then another song came on, somebody grabbed another drink, and suddenly we were approaching closing time. I should have asked his name, but the gentleman who took care of us was awesome and had no problem with us setting up shop outside to enjoy...multiple...cocktails and ordering pizza from Quarantino's (his rec.). We ordered six different cocktails and while our preference wasn't always for the one we (my wife or I) ordered, with a swap or two between us we ended up very much enjoying what we got and had a lovely final evening in GR before going home as a result!

They cultivate a very fun and comfortable environment. Despite being a small space, they manage to pack so many events and people in to be able to connect. They often have game nights with Mario Kart, MtG, and lots of live music. I don't drink alcohol so I can't speak to the ciders but I know they have a good variety for different palates. They recently added some food to the menu which I think was a fun addition. It's bar food but well priced IMO. The staff have always been soooo incredibly kind and supportive of the local community. You can tell that they really value the people who come in and make a concerted effort to get to know everyone. I have only had good experiences talking with them and they always are good to remember me and give me a warm welcome. They do have a small parking lot and there's a park across the street in case anything gets filled! I definitely recommend checking out some local music here or attending one of the collabs with the Cheese Lady next door.

It's a nice little spot and the inside is really not much bigger than what you see here but it all works. It's cozy, welcoming and the staff was awesome. They have an excellent selection of beer styles I went with the Mexican Amber first because I don't see too many breweries make that one, but the Session IPA was the one I fell in love with. So yum! Also met the owner Tyler, great guy. Came and talked with me for a bit. Glad I made it out.

Nate and I stopped in to buy some wine for Christmas and Ben, the new owner, was so helpful and friendly as always (he usually helped us pick out wines back when it was L&S). The shop is small but nicely curated, and they have wine for many price points. I especially like the $25 table, which is what we mostly shopped from. Ben directed us to a nice variety of different wines that would appeal to our group. They do free wine tastings and have a wine club that includes two curated bottles per month, 10% off in-store wine purchases, and other perks. I'm really glad this local shop is nearby and will always shop here first for any wine needs.
