I attended a concert at this venue on Valentines day. Parking was easy even though crowded. They share space with the Post. I parked on the cheaper side. My sister parked on the other side and it was 40.00. I only paid 12.00 or so. They recognize your license plate so it's easy to pay and exit. The venue was decent, had a huge bar at the entrance along with a coat check for umbrellas. You can't take them inside. They also check for large bags and backpacks so be careful with large purses. Seating was upgraded for us, we were on about row 10. Seats are super small. Not sure how comfortable someone would be as they are really close together. Luckily, two people next to us did not show up so we could have a seat between us. Otherwise it was shoulder to shoulder. That's the only improvement they need to make. Lots of nice bars and seating along the sides of the venue which allows you to hear the music. The restrooms were small and only 2 were working which made for a long line. read more

We recently went to 713 Music Hall for the Erykah Badu concert, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The venue is beautiful, spacious, and designed so well that no matter where you stand, you have a clear view of the artist. I loved that there wasn't a single "bad spot" in the building. The drinks were also pretty good! I ordered a lemon drop, and my husband had an old fashion both were well-made and added to the vibe of the night. The energy of the crowd, the lighting, the sound... everything worked together to make the show feel magical. Erykah Badu delivered, and the venue absolutely did her justice. Overall, it was an amazing show in an amazing space. I would definitely go back again for another concert! read more

Everyone has had different experiences here, but mine stems from a purchase at Ticketmaster with excellent help from Paula at the Live Nation/713 Music Hall Box Office. I had never been here, but I have been to The Post Houston which is right next door. I purchased a ticket for the Mo Amer comedy show earlier this month. I saw a great deal for the front row and purchased it only to find out it was ADA accessible. I didn't notice because the other two front row sections weren't. I felt bad, so I called Ticketmaster to try to switch, but they wouldn't unless it was equal or greater value. They were no help at all. I planned on not going because I wasn't sure if there would be an actual seat. My friend convinced me to call 713 Music Hall, and I'm glad I did. Paula said to not worry because there will be a seat and that situation happens often. They save the seats in case people with accessibility concerns need it. She mentioned that the staff shouldn't ask about disability because that's personal. I do have a medical condition that is considered a disability, but you can't physically tell if you saw me. Anyway, I got to the show that night, and it turns out, no one needed ADA and they also purchased tickets without realizing it was. I arrived a little past the time when doors opened, and there wasn't a line. Went through a quick bag search and security. Mo's shows require locking up your phone and accessories like smart watches and AirPods due to material. They had soft Yondr pouches to put a phone that also fit my Apple watch. You could only open it in designated areas. Staff had a specific gadget to unlock them, which I saw at the end of the show. You get a seat reference slip to show staff if you can't find your seat. I kind of liked the no phone policy because it made you really focus and enjoy the moment without distractions. I would've taken so many photos, especially with the surprise guests. Lol. This comedy show had a mix of small seats on the floor area, balcony seating and some small tables and chairs along the upper levels with space for standing room. You can upgrade to the Kashmir Lounge and purchase priority parking for a fee. The restroom in the front has a few stalls. There's one in the back corner that has doors that open to more stalls for men, women and one unisex stall all shared with a communal sink area. There are bars as soon as you enter, in the back and along the length of each side. They had advertised zero proof options but only had one which was a bummer. Grapefruit didn't sound appealing. Mo's show was cool. I loved his Netflix series. Tre Tutson and Kevin Iso opened up for him. I laughed so hard, I cried. After the show, there was a mini concert with surprise guests - Robert Glasper, Lil Flip, Paul Wall, etc. It was a great front row experience. I'd come back for another show or concert. read more

We came for the Shane Smith & The Saints Christmas concert, it was my first concert at 713! It was definitely easy to Uber there and get picked up there. They had a lot of alcohol options but definitely on the pricey side like any venue. It was very clean and the staff were all very accommodating and nice. I was so excited to check out this venue and did my research on where to sit for a packed show. I looked at the views from the seats and got the 200 GA tickets because the view was supposed to be clear and the seated tickets were uber expensive, I wasn't about to pay thousands. I also am short so would not fair well on the floor. We got there early, only to find out that most of the views of the stage are blocked by the people in the seats in front of these GA sections, as well as huge pillars block off a lot of the area from being able to see the stage at all (on the right side from the stage). We moved to the left where the pillars and people were still in the way, but the pillars were smaller. I assume other seating areas are better, but this was unfortunately my experience (300 GA has the same pillar issues). read more

This venue was really nice and pretty spacious! When you enter the merch table was set up right by the door. There's also a bar right when you walk in. my ticket actually got upgraded! There's elevators and elevator attendants when you have tickets to the upper level. I was shown to my table in section 315. The upper level had another bar as well as a small cooldown/hangout spot. In the seated tables of the upper section you get bar service and can also have food delivered to you. I just ordered drinks but the server was very attentive. Section 315 is right by the ginormous speaker so it got pretty loud. The restrooms were clean but they only have red lights in there so the color was giving off stranger things. I appreciated that it was still relatively cool in temperature even though there was a lot of people. I ubered here and it was easy getting dropped off as well as getting picked up. read more

Having been here for several shows, this is a popular venue for artists in a convenient location. Right next to Post Oak, it's one of the more modern and better music venues for concerts and standup shows. Upper level seating on the 2nd and third floors is available and there's private seating on the upper side ledges where you get your own server. For myself, I'm a simple floor guy as I enjoy being close to the sound and the performers. There's plenty of places to get drinks with stretch bars on both sides of the bottom floor and another outside of the floor itself. Sound quality is impeccable so you can hear the artists loud and clear. Some of my favorite shows have been the Incubus show in early 2022 and the 311/AWOLNation/Neon Trees show most recently in mid August. I've always had a great glimpse of the performance which any live music enthusiast will appreciate. There's only one entrance into the venue so it gets congested when waiting to enter. Best bet is to arrive a little later before the doors open or get there way early so you can be up front. Aside from that, it's a great option for live shows and getting more artists/performers to come to Houston. And that's a good thing! read more

First time at 713 Music Hall Really fun venue - great atmosphere but sound quality absolutely needs to be improved and service fees is equivalent to price gouging! I paid extra for the balcony suite with bistro tables - highly recommend if you want a nice view but away from the crowds. 4 seats with a bistro table - perfect for a special date night or girls night out. Unfortunately I bought the tickets on StubHub so when the seller couldn't sell the remaining to tickets they gave them away to friends that just came to drink and talked the entire time. So purchase all 4 seats and bring fans that will appreciate the show and sing along with you! The bistro section chairs have almost no back - so I preferred standing. So next time I would like to try one of the standing room only sections and skip the high price tag! The tickets were expensive but Charley Crockett is an amazing artist and worth every penny. However the ticket fees are outrageous. Fans need to start demanding change because "scalpers" scoop up the premium seats and double or triple the price on top of the shameful fees. Besides being disappointed in the sound quality, I would say the next improvement would be to provide adequate lighting in the bathrooms. So many women were expressing their concerns about safety. I don't see how the owners/management/inspectors did not recognize the safety risks associated with extremely dim lighting. Overall a really fun vibe. There were no water fountains or free water coolers...I think this is a safety issue- water should be available for everyone to stay hydrated! And remember to keep the ear buds in as your leaving because a staff member was using a bull horn - way to close proximity to my ear drums that this music lover wants to protect! read more

I have lived in Downtown for years now, yet I had never visited 713 music hall until last week's Dream Theater's 40th anniversary tour show. I was really missing out! I was impressed by how well organized the event was: I went through security, had our tickets scanned, and got to the bar all in less than five minutes. Then we headed to our spots, which we struggled to find, but an usher kindly helped us. I was surprised by the folding chairs - I am not sure if they do this for every event, but I think I was expecting to be standing during the concert. The acoustics were phenomenal; it felt loud enough, but not excessive. I brought my Loop earplugs with me, but I did not have to use them. Had I been seated near a speaker, I am not sure I would have enjoyed it as much. Restrooms were clean, although I was not a big fan of the red lights in them. The facility was clean too, overall. Thanks to the several bars available (with super friendly bartenders), you never have to wait in line for a drink. However, a double Crown+Coke was almost $40, which is beyond outrageous and that is why I am giving this place four stars instead of five. read more

We came here for the Dream Theater's 40th anniversary tour concert. The venue is a smaller venue, so has a quaint personal feeling to it. I deducted one star because there was a lack of ushers which allowed people to come up to the front where we were sitting, and it blocked our view. I feel that since we paid over $220 for the tickets to have this front row view the people that were seated in the back or on the second level should not have been allowed to come down and stand in the aisles and in front of others that were seated. The acoustics are awesome. The drinks were cold and bar service was fast to get your drinks. Uber was easy to get to return to the hotel. Yes, I recommend this place for concerts. read more

Lack of clarity. For months you might see a ticket verification that says something like GA200 Seat 115 and 116. It's a standing section you can see on the seating map, but we figure maybe they are putting in folder chairs? Not until we got there did we find out that it is SRO and to upgrade you can pay another $80 a ticket and sit at a little table along the edge of the balcony (if you get there early enough). The balcony seats were probably nice but I'm not sure why the venue puts them on high stools and table when there is an SRO area above and behind them (see pic). Also, ticketmaster is very scammy. Back when this concert was announced (Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats), my wife insisted I get pre-order tickets before it sells out (as the ticketmaster ad proclaimed). I paid north of $250 for two tickets and could see on various apps (including TM) the day before that the price for our ticket was $33/ea before fees. All the concerts are different I think (chairs/no-chairs). Good luck. read more

I was very upset when I tried to go up the handicap ramp to make entry to the main building. I have one titanium hip and the other one has had no blood supply so long that all of the bones are dead (AVN). I also have RA and Fibro. My joints are very poor especially in the cold. I asked if I could please go up the handicap ramp and she refused and told me I needed to go elsewhere. Very disappointed that they could not have compassion, even in a very slow environment, to allow someone handicap to use the handicap ramp. Checked out 713 for the first time; a friend had tickets to a concert that he couldn't make so I went instead to check it out. Parking is paid in their lot and the adjacent lot for Post also isn't free anymore. Not sure about the street parking situation on non office hours currently but that might be the only option without a fee. The interior is pretty spacious and they seem to have plenty of staff there. Tons of bars and drink service everywhere which I did not go to. The venue is extremely loud and not sure sound quality is the best so wear your earbuds. Tickets for this venue are also very expensive compared to other concert halls in Houston (WOMH, HOB, etc). read more

713 Music Hall is one of Houston's newest concert venues and it's one of the best. Located adjacent to POST Houston, I've checked out 713 for two concerts. My complaints are minimal. One is that they have complimentary parking for 90 minutes. After that, it's a paid lot. And even the street parking close to the venue charges until midnight. Despite the parking situation, it's a beautiful venue. Sleek with a great stage presence. I've sat both in general admission and on the third level. They also have several bars and a coat rack. If you're trying to grab dinner before the concert, you have a bunch of great options right next door at POST. A great venue and a nice addition to the concert venue landscape. read more

The 2 stars are to recognize one important thing, the bathrooms! The only thing they got right! The bathrooms were clean. Let me first say I am not a sound engineer or nor do I know anything about sound production. What I do know is I have watched a lot of concerts by the same band in many different venues. The sound in here is horrible compared to all the other ones. I am not sure who is in charge of lights and smoke. The lights from the 2nd floor shoot right into your eyes from time to time. It was uncomfortable and frustrating. The smoke machine was out of control! I should have been able to see the bands faces but absolutely couldn't. At times could hardly see there bodies. I felt so disconnected the entire concert. It was the most awful time I have ever had watching my favorite band and honestly ruined the evening for me. It had been a few years since my last visit to this venue and so I had forgotten these kind of issues exist here. The last visit the issue was seating on the floor. They do poor job with the seating and taking into account many heavy set people attend concerts too. They have crappy chairs that have no extra width to them and they all touch. So if you are next to heavy set people, they sit partially in your seat as well. This is not a complaint about overweight people. The complaint is about the venue doing a bad job being mindful. The chips I bought, I didn't ask the price first, that's my bad but I thought maybe I would pay $4. Nope! I paid over $7 for them?! read more

I have been looking forward to seeing a show at 713 MH and I finally had the chance to last week. I saw New Order and it was a great show. The sound quality was very good and I was able to get a good view on the side of the floor on the stairs near the bar. This venue reminds me of Bayou Music Center with an extra balcony. The set up in terms of the floor and balconies share some similarities though I don't think there's a restroom in the main floor area like there is at Bayou. The 2nd and 3rd floors have a GA standing section as well as tables. Parking: I parked in the Lyric Market garage down the street. It was about a 5 minute walk. They do have parking on site, however it was reserved for "Premier Parking." The price of parking probably varies depending on the day and event, but they were charging $12. Entry: The line to get in was organized and efficient. The line was incredibly long, but it moved quickly. The bag policy was 12 x 6 x 12. Not sure if it varies by show, but check the site before you go. Lobby: They had the merch table set up as well as a table to do upgrades. I imagine it would be things like upgrading seats, access to the Kashmere club, etc. I noticed that they had a coat check which is really unusual to find in the South. I don't think I've ever seen a concert venue with a coat check unless it's a theater. Not sure if they use it to check large purses, but it was interesting to see. Bar: Drinks are stupid expensive because it's a Live Nation venue. The bartender gave a generous pour though so I didn't feel too miserable about spending $20 on a double Tito's and Tonic. A few suggestions: Please add lights to the stairs in the main floor area or add some sort of neon paint so people can see where they are walking. I saw two different people completely eat it with full drink in hand because they didn't realize they had to go down two steps (it probably didn't help that the stairs were super crowded with people standing on them). The Staff needs better training or maybe better communication on the floor. It was confusing trying to get stamped to enter the floor. My friends left to use the restroom and were told contradicting info on which entry/exit they could use to get back on the floor. Overall, I like this venue and am looking forward to coming back this summer for another show. read more

713 Music Hall is a great find in downtown Houston! I was traveling for business and since the Astros were not in town, I was looking for something fun to do. I found Blues Traveler and Big Head Todd and the Monsters playing at 713 Music Hall. It's the old main post office now converted to a food hall and concert venue. It's a pretty cool laid back concert hall. Main floor and balcony seating, plus lots of standing room. Sound was good! Can't wait to check it out again soon. read more

My husband and I have come here a couple times for rock concerts. The space is very big, which I love. There are multiple bars in the different areas and the bathroom is kept clean (rare for concerts!). The times we've gone, the general area has been all open instead of seating and there were only drinks, I don't remember seeing any food. Would love to go back here for another concert. The sound was incredible. We went the same night the astros won the World Series, so it was quite a spectacle. read more

First time here for 'Bring Me The Horizon'. First impression, getting inside a venue shouldn't be damn complicated. Walked in through the door and the merch was immediately to you right in the lobby, there was a long line snaking around but moved quickly. There's also a couple of tables toward the center of the lobby: one is for upgrades and another one was for $20 tickets special. From the lobby, you go through some doors to get to the music hall. Inside the music hall, they have another merch booth albeit smaller with less choices. The line was obviously shorter as well. I had GA tickets so I tried to go to the GA area where the entry points were manned. The dude asked us if we had been stamped so we were like "what stamp?" because nobody had said anything about this up to this point. He pointed to back wall where the was a lady in a green shirt and told us, 'get your stamp from that lady in the green shirt' so we went up to her to ask stamped. She looked at us and pointed back toward the GA entry point and said, "you need to get your stamp from the woman in green". I think the irony was lost on her that she was a woman in green as well. Long story short, we found the woman in green in between the entry point and the back wall and got our stamp. Friend bought a drink. Can't remember what he ordered but bartender asked if he wanted a single or a double. He opted for a single and that drink cost him around $17 before tip. So yeah, pretty pricey. After being in the GA area for a bit and realizing that we'd be there for at least 4 hours, we started talking about getting an upgrade so we could sit down and still enjoy the show. Different options for upgrades: second and third story which is priced per person with the possibility of sharing a table with strangers (up to 4 person per table so we could have shared our table with two other people) or we could get the premium diamond stage side table for one flat price (forgot to ask how many people can be included for this). We opted for the diamond upgrade and before the show started, we thought 'wow, what a great view'. After the show started, however, we started regretting our decision. We weren't informed about the supposedly included lounge and private bar. When I asked the person manning the premium area, he didn't know anything about what's included in our upgrade. Our amazing view of the stage? Blocked by attendees sitting on the fence right in front of us. The person who was supposed to keep people out of the premium area didn't say or do anything to them. Even as attendees were climbing up the fence into the premium area and watching from the premium area, he didn't say anything about that either. So note to self: don't pay the premium pricing, just sit on the fence right in front of the premium area blocking those who do pay, or just climb into the premium area and save some money because the attendant won't kick you out anyway. After the show? Out of the music venues I've been in Houston (Smart Financial, Bayou Music Center, Toyota Center), this was probably the most difficult time I had to exit. Would I go back? Unfortunately I would have to if the bands I want to see choose this 713 Music Hall to perform. read more

Pretty impressed for the size it is. Went to see the Kim Petras concert, and while it wasn't a full house it was reasonably staffed and the bars were easy to access for quick drinks so we didn't miss the show. After the show started, we noticed there were a few tables open so inquired on upgrading seats so we could have a server and they were quick to accommodate and get us moved to our balcony seats with wonderful views. Great venue! We had a Diamond Table for Laufey, and it was well worth the hefty price tag. Our table was on an elevated platform right next to the stage, so we had a perfect, unobstructed view with cocktails and snacks. Before the show, we had drinks in the Kashmere Club, which was very cool. Private restrooms, an artsy, clubby space, and a projector screen so you could see what's happening on the stage. Service from every staff member at the venue was friendly and welcoming. We had dinner in Post Market before the show, which was fantastic,, and we paid for reserved VIP parking, which was very convenient pre-show. Post show, it took way too long to exit the lot, which was the only negative of the night. They need to put a traffic light there. read more

Recently attended Young the Giant's American Bollywood your here on 7/27, and had an absolutely amazing experience. It's hard to have a bad time when you're seeing your favorite band, but a good venue can absolutely elevate the experience. 713 Music Hall is absolutely one of THE nicest venues I've had the chance of attending- if you ever see an artist you're interested in perform here snag those tickets right away. Despite the Texas heat and # of people in attendance, the venue was cool. They really keep the air conditioning rolling which is so important for it being the middle of summer. The staff were all kind, and helpful with directions and questions. Bar staff were attentive too. I'll absolutely be keeping an eye out for future shows coming here! read more

Well about a month ago I was a good runner at 713 Music Hall in the kitchen. Things were ok until the head security yelled at me for eating chips inside which I was unaware of. The chef in the kitchen said that we can eat snacks which the crew told me that it was okay. The head security talked to me with disrespect and it had me questioning about going back to work for Instawork within the company. I never got an apology from the heads security and it has me wondering if he has done this to other people within the company. read more

We saw Daniel Caesar here and the venue was really nice but be careful when you're buying your tickets because you either might be super far from the stage or standing behind a pole. The good thing is that when you're there you can upgrade your tickets. Although, I had to pay an extra $200 it was kind of worth it for the experience. My wife and I got a nice candle lit (fake candle obviously) table right by the stage. If you are on the floor I would tell you to get there at least 2 hours before so you won't be staring at someone's back the whole time. Parking was very easy too.
