Really exceptional place. The vibe was chill. The space was nicely presented. The menu had a wide range of options, including a series of vegetable-forward options. The staff were extremely friendly and seemed willing to actively engage with customers. It was a nice neighborhood spot. I ordered Mo's Rice Bowl, and it was generally well executed. Maybe a little bit more rice than it needed, but it presented a nice combination of flavors and textures. The pickled onions were well done. There was a relish type offering that rounded it out. The fried egg was a nice protein addition. Overall, the dish came together. I'm not from Cincinnati, but they apparently have a regional goetta dish. I ordered the vegan version, and it was really well done. Good on the restaurant for thinking to offer a vegan version. All told, this was an exception place. I came here for lunch on a Friday and fell in love this this place! We arrived a little after 11, so right before the rush, and were greeted warmly. They seated us promptly and immediately someone was taking drink orders. Our waitress was very kind, offered helpful recommendations, and made the visit fun. I ordered the goomba fromlette and my coworker got the chicken sandwich. We also ordered sides of potato pancakes and garlicky greens to share. The fromlette is huge! It looked so good and tasted even better! The vegetables in it were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The cheese and sauce on top complemented all the flavors very well. And the eggs themselves that made the base were perfectly done. I ate it all and left feeling so full and happy. I also have to talk about the sides. The potato pancakes are heavenly, and I could make a meal out of just them. The outsides are perfectly crispy and the inside melts in your mouth. I am literally still thinking about them. The garlicky greens are also fantastic and actually were the same vegetables that came in my fromlette. I loved them so much I was happy to eat more. They are very savory, saucy, and hit the spot. This was our second visit, and somehow it was even better than the first. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, offering great recommendations that did not disappoint. Every dish was unique and packed with flavor. The short rib mac and cheese was pure comfort food elevated to another level, with rich, melted cheese and a side of homemade tomato sauce that added an unexpected burst of flavor. The service was good! I got the General Tso Chicken Sandwich. I don't think it was that spicy at all. I'm the kind of person who can eat some spice but I don't like every bite to be burning. So it was good, barely any heat. Unless my taste buds are just off lol. I liked the bun. I thought the slaw didn't really have much apricot flavor but maybe it's not that strong or it's covered up by the flavor of the chicken. I had the privilege of dining here twice in a month. The first time, I had no idea that the restaurant had been featured on the show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives". I found it to be quaint with great upscale food. Love the cozy atmosphere. The dining area is small, with tables close together, but you can grab one of the few booths for a bit more room and chat privacy. There are large windows near the front door that give a glimpse of passersby shopping along Main Street. The staff is very friendly. I had the seasonal lobster grilled cheese on my first visit, and it was phenomenal. This was a work lunch, so I stuck to my entree and an Iced Tea. The second visit was a pleasure lunch and I shared the Crab Rangoon Dip with large pieces of toasted buttered bread- very delicious (despite not having real crab) with my lunch companion. I went with another grilled cheese-themed sandwich, this time short rib, which was delicious. Both times, my sandwich was accompanied by a unique tomato soup with kimchee. Stumbled across this place by happenstance when we were in the area. We saw it was a "diner" so we kept our expectations low as we were extremely hungry. I'm so sorry to the Governor because this place is phenomenal. I took my (slightly picky, foodie) brother and he was blown away by the food. I have not stopped thinking about these potato cakes with the feta dip. I also had the lobster roll which was full of lobster and refreshing and flavorful. The waitress told us it used to be a rotational menu item but the customers loved it so much they put it on the menu. I went with a Reuben and my boss got the short rib grilled cheese. Again, we didn't wait long at all before everything was ready. My Reuben was one if the better ones I've had in a while for sure. My boss enjoyed his grilled cheese and found the short rib to be very flavorful. The service was also excellent and our server was super friendly. I really like this spot.
