Great service, great food. Service was fantastic, very personable server. Food was fresh, great combination of flavors. Love the variety and unique options.

This was our second visit, and somehow it was even better than the first. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, offering great recommendations that did not disappoint. Every dish was unique and packed with flavor. The lobster may be the best in town--buttery, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The short rib mac and cheese was pure comfort food elevated to another level, with rich, melted cheese and a side of homemade tomato sauce that added an unexpected burst of flavor. The real surprise of the night was the potato cake. Whether it's a secret menu item or not, it deserves a permanent spot on the menu. The combination of crispy potato cake, creamy goat cheese, and sweet apple butter was absolutely incredible and unlike anything we've had before. This restaurant continues to impress us with its creativity, quality, and outstanding service. We can't wait for our next visit.

My fiancée and I road the bike trail to Milford from our home. I wanted to go somewhere different for lunch and my fiancée mentioned coming here. He's dined here once and loved it. Located in Old Milford, This restaurant looks like a diner, but I love their menu. It's a mix of tapas style, brunch, salads, sandwiches, has a speciality section for lobster with a unique drink menu. I love it! The inside is very welcoming and love the decor. Not too huge but definitely an intimate setting. Since it was a lovely afternoon, we sat outside. We ordered: Drinks: -Paul Ponnelle Pinot noir (France) -Pierre Delize sparkling Blanc de Blanc (France) -Garage Beer Lime Lunch: -Chicken salad club sandwich -Arugula salad-grilled lemon vinaigrette, radish and Parmesan Potato cakes- whipped feta & apple butter We got our meals right away and they were delicious! Love the lemon vinaigrette as my dressing for my salad. The combination of the apple butter and whipped feta went so well with my potato cakes. I tried a bite of my fiancée's sandwich and loved the toasted bread and the chicken salad had great flavor! Our server was Hannah and she was very kind and attentive. What a great experience! I loved spending my time here and would definitely come back!

Best Sandwich in Cincinnati! Absolutely get the lamb french dip it's ridiculously good. Potato cakes are to die for as well swap them out for the fries! Our waitress was super helpful, definitely great staff there. Super pretty inside but really nice seating outside as well!

We decided to enjoy the nice evening and have a few cocktails and appetizers at what used to be one of our spots we liked Our server Reilly was awesome We ordered the special sandwich to go which was the chicken Ceasar sandwich As we left I picked the bag up and felt like there was nothing it it. We opened the box and were so upset. This was basically a Panera bread sandwich with less meat but 17.00 and no side I think The Governor is now missing the mark with portions and quality Bummer The only reason any stars is because of our server I

Worth the stop! Stopped here on the way to Covington and it delivered. Had the egg sandwich with thick bacon (sub texas/white toast, highly recommend). Fries were great, the pancake was thick like cake, and French toast sticks were another win. Such a cute place with quick, friendly service, and even though the wait was listed at 30 minutes, it ended up being just 15. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

The food here is amazing!! We came here for a brunch/breakfast as a group of 4 where we were not disappointed and the wait was not long for a Saturday. The bacon was delicious and we were well fed with the portion sizes. The restaurant has some outdoor seating for the spring/summer/fall to allow for a little more room. The staff was helpful in providing recommendations and the menu has choices where you can't go wrong.

I was in search of a pancake, and stumbled upon The Governor. I ordered it and was very impressed. The Cherry Cordial (seasonal fruit) pancake was HUGE and up there with one of the best I've had. The French Toast Sticks were large and great too. I was not a huge fan of the potato cakes. I tried the Plain Pancake too, but would highly recommend getting it with the seasonal fruit. If you're looking for breakfast all day, this is 100% a place to try.

Heavy Duty "diner" vibe in this place, but the menu is anything but standard. Hannah took care of us & did a great job answering all of our questions. The Lobster Queso was our starter & was chock full of lobster meat. I had the "Fromlette" (1/2 omelet, 1/2 fritata) "Big Steve" Style.....Took a few bites to get my head wrapped around it, but wow!!! so much flavor. My wife had the short-rib grilled cheese & absolutely loved it. We'll definitely be back soon to explore the rest of the menu & maybe try some drinks/desserts.

Atmosphere was amazing, and so beautiful inside. Was in town for the weekend and saw some great reviews on here and decided to try it out. Found a seat at the bar and was impressed at this tiny little human next to me eating this delicious looking sandwich so I had to try one as well- the Tao Chicken Sandwich. Looks AMAZING, and believe me, it was- for those that like a little heat! Could only eat about 1/2 the sandwich because my tongue was on fire but it was delicious. Service- the hostess was so nice and friendly when I entered, the bartender/wait staff, not so much. Maybe she was just having an off night... Would recommend giving it a try!

Absolutely incredible diner. Loved every second I was there! Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Cute knick-knacks all over the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious!! I had the creamy tomato soup and it has a nice heat to it from the Korean chili. Can never eat a regular creamy tomato soup again. I also had the patty melt. So much flavor in a sandwich. Already recommended to a lot of friends and will definitely be back when I'm in town!

Not my first or last review of the Governor! I aspire to try everything on this menu, it's so unique and delicious. The items on the menu aren't the most shareable but I highly recommend trying to split some with your table so you can taste everything. This visit included the rice bowl and the short rib grilled cheese (not pictured) which were both incredible. 10/10 would recommend again and again

Governor Burger, Lobster Roll, Bowling Alley Fries, Cold Toddy

Food was very good and our waitress was lovely! It was on the pricier end-- $30 for a lobster roll and any sides cost extra. However, it was a fun experience, and my partner and I enjoyed sitting at a table outside.

Is this a place that is good to take a young baby (4-5M) to?

It is rather small and can get a bit loud, I guess it depends on your baby's mood.

What day do they have their lobster roll?

I believe it is Friday and Saturday.

Everything was good and surprisingly barramuñdi filet was delicious. Never had it before. The first with the aioli was good and the wife enjoyed the pizza. The food alone is 5 starts: Seasonal pizza, GF Detroit Style crust...every other pizza pales in comparison. I will dream about this pizza, even though I was hungry after. Lower score because I was judged harshly by my server about where I lived, them being uppity and saying, "Eww, I'd never live there." After observation it seems mostly "regulars" dine here, I must have not looked expensive enough, or behaved poorly enough. For the price, I shouldn't be leaving hungry, or ashamed.
