The entire process went as smooth as butta, and I had a new air conditioner installed within 3 days and I was able to move back into my home. That timeframe is unheard of in Vegas especially in the hottest month. The guys that did the work were very nice, professional and hard working. My unit sits on the roof, and I know they were hot, but they worked until the job was done. I was so happy with this company that I referred to them a close friend of mine whose air went out at her house the same week as mine. She got immediate attention and I got a nice referral bonus from Hollywood air. My new air conditioner works beautifully and its very quiet unlike my old unit. I am a very happy customer. The first call they came out, the tech said we need a new compressor because ours was old, okay thanks, landlord paid for the new compressor. Took them almost a week to come back, remember that's a whole week without cold air, during a Las Vegas heat wave. It was 95 degrees in our house. Techs got here at 10:30am and they didn't leave til 6pm. As they're installing the new compressor, they find a leak and something wrong with our disconnect, which the first tech failed to diagnose. So he didn't even fully properly diagnose what was wrong. The techs fixed the leak along with the compressor. We got cold air. Then 3 days later it's out again! We called first thing in the morning, they couldn't come til the next day. The same tech came (from the first diagnostic) and said it's the connector but sorry, he'll come back before the end of the day. Why? Because he has 13 other calls to make. I understand it's a busy day, but why would you leave a project unfinished???? I don't understand why you would accept calls in between your route from my house to the warehouse (to pick up the part) and back. It takes MULTIPLE calls to get through this office, you just have to call and call and wait til someone answers. I called the front desk to see if there's any other techs that they could assign to us a little faster since this tech said he won't be here till the end of the day. The front desk man said WITH ATTITUDE "if he said he'll be there, then he'll be there". I said okay he better be here. He then wants to pick a fight and say "he better? What if his truck breaks down?? what if he falls off a ladder?" I'm sorry, those are worse casenarios that I understand but the fact that you're even manifesting that is horrible. What about the fact that my family is inside a 95 degree household just cooking? What about if someone has a heatstroke? TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES HOW TO DO CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!! We got another AC company to replace the connector asap and guess what! The leak that Zen Aire fixed is BOTCHED. I attached a pic of the valve, it should be turning outwards. How else would other techs be able to get their gauges to connect? Thank you for the 3 days of cold air but just because you guys go through home warranty does NOT mean you should do short cuts and do a shitty job. The warranty company scheduled us for our duct cleaning and ceiling entry. After being blown off twice. We paid for a new air-conditioner and heat blower. They came out on the 4th of July, after suffering 3 days in the heat. My mother paid over 14k, which includes a additional $600 for a duct cleaning. Also with the damages done to our ceiling entry. The Warranty company scheduled us to get fixed within a day. But due to doctors appointments we rescheduled. The new date is today 830am to 1030am. They called to try to cancel again and said they would call back. If we were able to negotiate a reimbursement of nearly the $600 for duct cleaning we would not be leaving anymore negative responses. We would be delighted to pay out of pocket for the duct cleaning instead, with a reliable competitor. Do not use Zen Air Conditioners. Totally unreliable. . They don't deserve 1 star! If you're home warranty uses them . Run, run get someone else for your needs.

Our experience with this company was frustrating from the beginning, but our interaction with their manager, Ernesto, was so extraordinarily unprofessional that it deserves its own review. Communication throughout the process had already been difficult. Because we were still having concerns with our AC system, we ultimately had another, more reputable HVAC company evaluate it. Safari subsequently requested photographs taken during that evaluation. Simple enough. Today, my husband contacted Safari to obtain an email address so that we could send them the photographs they requested. Apparently, obtaining an email address from an HVAC company requires significantly more conflict than one might reasonably expect. During the conversation, Ernesto became argumentative and then accused my husband of saying the F-word. There was just one problem with that accusation: He didn't. I was standing directly beside my husband and heard the entire conversation. When I joined the conversation and told Ernesto that I had personally heard the exchange and that my husband had not used the language he was being accused of using, Ernesto's response was not to de-escalate, clarify, apologize, or simply provide the requested email address. Instead, his demeanor became increasingly angry and unprofessional. At that point, the absurdity of the situation was almost impressive. We were customers attempting to send Safari documentation Safari had specifically asked us to send, yet somehow we found ourselves arguing with a manager over profanity that was never uttered. For a company entrusted with entering people's homes and servicing expensive, essential equipment, basic professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to handle a routine customer interaction without manufacturing unnecessary conflict should not be aspirational qualities. They should be minimum job requirements. We are new homeowners with a one-year home warranty, which means the warranty company selects the contractors dispatched to our home. We did not choose Safari. After this experience, we certainly never would. If our warranty company attempts to assign this company to another service call, we will specifically request someone else. I would rather pay a reputable HVAC company myself than deal with this level of dysfunction again. And that is perhaps the most telling review I can give a home-warranty contractor: I would rather pay out of pocket than have them return for free. There are plenty of HVAC companies competing for customers. Choose one that understands that customer service involves actually serving the customer rather than arguing with them, making false accusations, and turning the simple exchange of an email address into an ordeal. Our AC system may need repair. Safari's customer service and Ernesto needs an entirely new unit. Preferably installed by another company.

The technician told me my system was extremely low on refrigerant and probably leaking, and I was given a quote for nearly $4,000 to leak test, repair, and recharge it. Something didn't feel right, so I paid the $79 diagnostic fee and decided to get another opinion. The second company quickly found the real issue: a faulty damper motor that caused the airflow to drop, which in turn made the system appear undercharged. They replaced the damper motor, verified everything, and charged me a 10% of the original estimate. When the cooling company called to follow up, I explained what happened, but there was no acknowledgment beyond a "thank you." Given the misdiagnosis and the huge difference in cost, I think refunding the diagnostic fee would have been the right thing to do.

Unfortunately they installed a lemon unit that never quite worked. They were out several times over a few weeks trying to figure it out. Finally the owner got involved and they came out and installed another unit. The owner gave me a free five year parts and labor warranty and a couple years of their service maintenance package. The service package basically includes a biannual tune up and they change the air filters while they are there. And if you need service beyond that you don't have to pay the trip fee and get half off parts. They use cheap filters that you can basically see through probably a Merv5 or 6. I like to change my filters every 4-6 weeks depending on how much wind we get that month. It really helps keep the dust down in the house. I also use a Merv13 filter. Point being I can change my own filters. Cut to last week. It has been 8 years since I have needed them to come out. And I knew exactly what I needed done. My capacitor was starting to go. They are the only people I have ever had look at this thing since it was installed and when the technician arrived he asked who I had install a non factory capacitor...I was of course baffled. I asked what he meant. He said that the factory only puts a single dual use capacitor in that is split internally but there were two different capacitors installed in mine. I again reminded him that The Cooling company is the only ones that have ever touched it. He confirmed my self diagnosis and said that the 80mfd was only putting out about 70. He said he had one on the truck and then hit me with the price. Over $300 installed. I asked what about the fact they installed non factory capacitor and he said there was no records of them ever changing a capacitor. At that point I figured he was already in there. He did come out on a Saturday and I was already paying a $79 trip fee. He got it all installed and then charged me almost $400. When he said $300 installed I figured the trip fee was already included in the cost. But nope. After he left I looked up the price on Lennox for the capacitor $89. Several websites have it for as low as $45. So even on the high side I was charged a $80 trip fee and $200 in labor for a twenty minute job. A job that I self diagnosed as he didn't even test the capacitor until I insisted. He said " the ac is running" I said yes. It is right now. But sometimes it labors to start and takes several tries to kick on. Conclusion: they are still a very prompt and communicative company. But their prices and quality of service have gone downhill. I won't be using them anymore for several reasons. The main one is they are no longer a budget friendly company.

Simple fix but the vent pipe was caulked in and couldn't get to the blower. Tried to get the HW to put a new one in when he submitted a ridiculous diagnoses. When the HW declined he quit the job without even telling me. I found out a week later through my HW! I tore the pipe out myself with a screw driver and had to have the HW send out another team to finish the fix and put the pipe back in. Do not hire this company and beware if your HW suggests them. I report to BBB and submitted a grievance to have them taken off my HW list!

They came out, assessed the issue, gave us a price for both external unit and air handler in the attic. We agreed and they installed. Every year after that, there was something always went wrong with that AC unit whether it be with the unit in the attic or the constant freezing up of the unit outside. I would have to say though, that every time I called Craig(owner), he would come out and fix the problem. My concern was this.... You buy a "brand new unit" and its having all these issues?. I understand that "brand new" doesn't always mean problem free. But every year after its installation there was an issue and the excuses were, the humidity is high, Freon is low, leaks, etc. I as the consumer can only do so much. I keep new filters in the system every 30 days, keep the external unit free and clear of any debris and general preventative maintenance. I also have another unit that controls my upstairs rooms. This unit is original equipment and was installed~1996. This unit has not given us any issues since we've moved in 14 years ago. Now if the humidity was an issue, wouldn't of it also created problems with the second unit also?Once again, the excuses just came rolling but because I'm not in the AC business, it sounded legit. At this point, we were kinda stuck with what they had to offer. This most recent summer I called because my "new 3 year old unit" kept freezing up. My internal thermostat was at 78°.... Definitely not too low as to keep the unit running continuously. So, once again I called and left a message. No response after a legitimate amount of time. I even gave the benefit of the doubt because it is the "busy" time of the year... But nothing. Meanwhile my house is now 96° inside. I called again the next day... No response and then again the next day... No response. You get the picture. To this day, I have not received a phone call, nor do I expect one at this point in time. Needless to say we went with someone else and paid for another brand new unit and couldn't be happier. The company I went with looked at the existing AC unit in the attic and the outside and all they could do was shake their head at the workmanship that was done... Or I should say NOT DONE!. From what they discovered, they said it almost looked as if the parts were stolen and "pieced together". They said serial numbers did not match and whatever other references they used to come to that conclusion. Anyway, I believe that at the very least, they could of called and said something to the effect that they couldn't come out, going out of business.... Something!... But NO. I will not recommend this company what so ever. What started out we thought was good ended up bad. Please don't call this company for any AC work as this might happen to you. Thank you.

This is a long overdue review…read more I had Michael from Air Pure come out to do a duct cleaning of my house. Michael arrived on time, was professional, courteous, friendly and detailed. He checked and serviced our air handlers, AC condensers, cleaned 20 vents including our dryer vent. I was completely satisfied and would recommend their services. About 1 month later, one of the fans and capacitors went out on one of the AC condensers. Fortunately, it was later in the evening when I noticed it so I didn't have to suffer too much. I called the service number and they told me that all remaining appointments for that evening had been booked for the day but they could come 1st part of the morning the following day. Ed called and showed up 1st thing in the morning at about 8:30 am to do a diagnostic and make the necessary repairs. He was professional, courteous, friendly and efficient. He explained to me that my fan had seized. To get everything running again I needed a new condenser motor, contactor and capacitor. He carried all the parts on his van so there was no waiting for parts. A little more than 1 hour my AC was back up, running and my house was cool again. Just in time for the afternoon heat. I would recommend their services and was completely satisfied with the work of both technicians. I will be using them for all my heating and cooling needs.

The evening that her vents were cleaned, she ended up in the hospital for a month with severe pneumonia! When I called and spoke to the manager about warning people to stay away from their home should they have compromised lungs, she got defensive and said it had nothing to do with the cleaning! There was no apology or acknowledgment that this was their doing! They never offered the minimum of an apology! They should refund my mom for the additional $400 for the sanitizing because if they did use sanitizer, she would not have to spend a month in the hospital and have a ton of hospital bills! So unbelievable!
