They replied quickly and we agreed on a time. They specifically said the time worked and they would be here. Then, without any other explanation, they simply said they were booked and couldn't make it. Nothing other than that: no message apologizing, no message saying they're prioritizing rescheduling as soon as possible, nothing. I waited to post this 9+ hours after their last message to see what the owner said, but I've gotten nothing in reply. So while I should at least get an apology, I'm not surprised to see zero accountability. If they can't simply apologize, I'm not sure how they think they can be trusted to do any actual work.

The existing system was installed when we purchased this house new in 2018 but was contractor grade. Ryan provided a couple of solutions but decided to replace. Very good price for a better quality system. The install techs, Roger and Dom, completed the install today. Very professional and went extra to be sure zone system was functioning properly. Definitely made the right choice.

After she left them for whatever reasons, getting somebody to pick up the phone or respond back to leaving a voice message can be hit or miss, especially during the busier summer months. Don't waste your money to buy their extended warranty because Alpha Air won't be there for you when you really need them for that expensive covered repair job. My AC died during a 100+ degree day, and I called Alpha Air several times and left a message but no answer. I finally decided to just call another AC company that came the same day to fix the problem, but of course, I had to pay out of pocket instead of being able to use the pre-paid warranty. I also had a sick, elderly parent suffering in a sweltering house so I wasn't going to wait for an unreliable company that didn't pick up their phone and will likely just say that they never got my phone call or voice message or that there was a glitch in their system. Alpha Air can do the job well if/when they want to show up so I give them one star for that and one star for Terry who no longer works for them. Based on my recent experience, however, I won't be using Alpha Air anymore and wish we had never paid for their useless extended warranty. They got their extra profit back then, but lost a long-term customer as of now. Businesses that truly deserve all their positive reviews have consistently excellent communication/customer service so they don't have to give after the fact excuses or apologetic explanations.

Hello Yelp Members,…read more I have a SPECTACULAR one for you all! Super Service Cooling and Heating! My Professional Plumbing Expert Johnathan. He repaired a water leak in my garage located under the partition that held my hot water heater. Johnathan arrived on a Thursday, before his off days, Friday, and Saturday. He diagnosed the problem, but was unable to repair due to my request for an afternoon arrival. Johnathan is SO KiND and KNOWLEDGEABLE. To the point that I chose to wait until Sunday, for his return. Allowing the leak to continue because of the trust I have for him. That night he went above and beyond. I wanted him to receive the woke hours. Garage flooded and expecting a high bill in sacrifice for his expertise and my trust in it. I received a quote from his office which was fair. I have used many different plumbing companies in the past. Each one charged(from my decades long home owner experience) much more than the time it took to complete. No parts and labor, but a flat rate. No itemization until work was completed, which only one company provided labor time. That complaint attempted to charged for time spent speaking about two other issues I enquired about and an estimate when provided. I decided to ask if he had time in his schedule to complete that additional work then. That time, speaking, and receiving a course of action was billed as labor hours. I was forced to call management to have it removed as the technician would not. Back to Johnathan. Moving the hot water caused an issue with heater maintaining a burn. Johnathan then called the boss, Issac who helped to diagnose the problem and recommend the repair required. An additional fee when the water heater was working perfectly before the leak was repaired. Issac 'offered' to replace the part at the cost of the part only. I could have argued for no additional charge as it worked perfectly before being moved. However, being understanding and grateful that he offered 'at cost only' before we discussed it. Fairness is part of their culture obviously. After replacing the flame would still not hold. Johnathan disassembled the vent for a third time. First, before water leak. A second time after replacing the new part. He sealed it off. Oh, I have a commercial heater with venting. Johnathan sealed it so good no air could possibly enter. The work was not completed until Tuesday. My responsibility. Due to my sleep schedule afternoon hours are best. Each night before completion Johnathan worked tirelessly until the job was completed to his standards, and my own. Even cleaning the area and spraying and wiping down the water heater afterwards. I have the utmost respect for that young man. He will go far in business and in life because he is honest, and so is Super Service, Issac. They could have charged so much more, but they were fair and accountable. Anyone out there who has gone through multiple plumbing companies in hopes of finding a competent, fair and decent one please stop here?? You will not regret your decision. They, Johnathan, 'are my list' now. What a relief. Now I know who to call and who to refer with the utmost confidence. Johnathan is also engaged to be married with plans of starting a family. It is refreshing to know that we will have members of the new generation raised with morals, respect, values, kindness, a great work ethic, and a relationship with our Lord God. ALL of God's teachings, no cherry picking. Which we both shared and learned of one another thought our time. The greatest two; 1) Love your Lord God with all of your soul, heart, mind and spirit. 2) Love your neighbors as you do yourself. I recently had an AC issue addressed at my residence. It is a two-story home built in 2021 with a…read moresingle AC unit. The upstairs was cooling--although not to the desired temperature--while the downstairs was not cooling at all. I went through American Home Shield (AHS), and the job was dispatched to A&R Complete Service Corp. The technician responded to the residence and determined the unit was three pounds low. I asked if there was a leak, to which he stated there was nothing that indicated to him that there was a leak. I was not provided with an explanation as to why the unit would be three pounds low. I was charged $255 for the three pounds of refrigerant. The issue was not resolved and the same technician returned to the residence a week later, only to submit a new diagnosis of a broken damper motor. A basic Google search reveals it's possible that a failed, closed zone damper can starve the indoor coil of airflow, creating low system pressures that mimic a refrigerant shortage. If the technician skipped certain diagnostic checks, then they potentially misread these pressures, injected three unnecessary pounds of refrigerant into my system, and charged me $255 for a product the system did not need. To complicate matters, A&R informed AHS they refused to perform the actual damper motor repair due to safety concerns regarding navigating my attic and having to walk on the trusses. I can appreciate safety and understand A&R's related company policies; however, I now must seek the repair to be performed by another company. Because A&R is unable to complete the required repair, and because their technician's potential diagnostic error has possibly left my expensive AC unit dangerously overcharged with excess refrigerant, I requested a prompt, full refund of the $255, since I must now reallocate those funds to hire a fully equipped contractor who can safely access the attic, replace the motor, and recover the excess refrigerant A&R's technician added. Unfortunately, A&R is unwilling to accommodate the request for a refund and has ceased all communication with me.

On March 13, 2025, Elite Heating & AC installed a new 5-ton HVAC unit on our roof. They also did…read moresome duct work for a total of $11.2K. That same day, they emailed proof of product registration with the manufacturer to us. The registration was necessary to start the 10-year warranty and showed the model and serial number. August 14, 2025, we called Elite to let them know the new AC was no longer blowing cold air. They came out and said the coil and some other component needed to be replaced. This was very surprising for a 5-month-old HVAC unit. So, we waited for Elite to come back and replace the defective parts. After waiting a few days, we had to call Elite to ask when they were planning on getting the AC up and running. They said they were waiting for parts and would get back to us once they arrived. Two weeks later, we still hadn't heard from them, so we called again. We were told they had to check with the technician to see what was going on and would call back. Another 2 weeks went by, and no word from Elite, so we called again. This time we were told the parts arrived damaged and were bow placed on back order. We were surprised no one at Elite bothered to give us this update. When we spoke with the "service manager," he said he would look into everything and call us back on Monday. Monday came and went with no word from him. We called them again and again and were given the same run around each time. "We need to check with the manufacturer, or check with the technician, etc., and get back to you. We called again, and they said since the parts are taking so long, we've decided to replace the defective HVAC unit completely. September 30, 2025, Elite came out and replaced the HVAC unit with a "new" unit. This time, we did not receive any proof of product registration. We did not know the model and serial number of the new unit they put on our roof, so, as it stands, it looks like we no longer have a 10-year warranty. Tired of their games and bad customer service, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which was what finally prompted them to come out and replace the unit. We asked for the proof of registration, and they said we needed to call them with any questions. We didn't have any questions. We were waiting for the product registration so we could be assured our new HVAC is under the promised 10-year warranty. This needs to be emailed to us and cannot be accomplished over the phone. To this day, Elite Heating & Air Conditioning has refused to send any documentation of our "new" HVAC unit. We have no model number, serial number, proof of product registration, or warranty. We were without AC for over 6 weeks during the summer, which prevented us from listing the home for sale or from being able to rent it. Either way, Elite has cost us a lot of money and grief. Flash forward to 7/30/2026. This house was sold and the buyers just informed us the AC has quit working. I called Elite to transfer the warranty to the new owners and they refused. Beware! They are total scam artists!

Simple fix but the vent pipe was caulked in and couldn't get to the blower. Tried to get the HW to put a new one in when he submitted a ridiculous diagnoses. When the HW declined he quit the job without even telling me. I found out a week later through my HW! I tore the pipe out myself with a screw driver and had to have the HW send out another team to finish the fix and put the pipe back in. Do not hire this company and beware if your HW suggests them. I report to BBB and submitted a grievance to have them taken off my HW list!

It was hot and my elderly parent lives with us, It was going to be the weekend by then so we just paid out of pocket to keep from going without a c. Extremely disappointing experience with Ultra Heating & Cooling through American Home Shield…read more The first technician came out and said the system was iced over and that he couldn't properly evaluate it. I understood that. However, even after I explained that we have an infant at home and were without adequate cooling in the Las Vegas heat, it took another three days for him to return. When he finally came back, he gave me very little explanation of what he had actually checked or what was wrong. I was told there was "physical damage," the refrigerant looked low, valves might be leaking, and that they needed authorization from the home warranty company. Then I was told it could take another one to two weeks. He did not take the time to clearly explain the diagnosis or investigate other possible causes with me. He was not FRIENDLY at all !!!! I finally called my own HVAC technician. The difference was remarkable. He spent at least an hour thoroughly checking the system, including the wiring and refrigerant/cooling levels. He discovered that wires were disconnected, corrected the wiring issue, checked the rest of the system, and the unit is now working properly. That is what makes this experience so frustrating. I was being prepared to wait another one to two weeks for warranty authorization and possible repairs, while another technician took the time to actually troubleshoot the system and got it working. This was a waste of time and money, and the lack of communication, thoroughness, and urgency was unacceptable. American Home Shield should be ashamed of the level of service provided by a contractor representing them. When a family with an infant is without adequate cooling in Las Vegas, they deserve a technician who will thoroughly investigate the problem--not simply leave them waiting another week or two without even clearly explaining what is happening.

Our experience with this company was frustrating from the beginning, but our interaction with their manager, Ernesto, was so extraordinarily unprofessional that it deserves its own review. Communication throughout the process had already been difficult. Because we were still having concerns with our AC system, we ultimately had another, more reputable HVAC company evaluate it. Safari subsequently requested photographs taken during that evaluation. Simple enough. Today, my husband contacted Safari to obtain an email address so that we could send them the photographs they requested. Apparently, obtaining an email address from an HVAC company requires significantly more conflict than one might reasonably expect. During the conversation, Ernesto became argumentative and then accused my husband of saying the F-word. There was just one problem with that accusation: He didn't. I was standing directly beside my husband and heard the entire conversation. When I joined the conversation and told Ernesto that I had personally heard the exchange and that my husband had not used the language he was being accused of using, Ernesto's response was not to de-escalate, clarify, apologize, or simply provide the requested email address. Instead, his demeanor became increasingly angry and unprofessional. At that point, the absurdity of the situation was almost impressive. We were customers attempting to send Safari documentation Safari had specifically asked us to send, yet somehow we found ourselves arguing with a manager over profanity that was never uttered. For a company entrusted with entering people's homes and servicing expensive, essential equipment, basic professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to handle a routine customer interaction without manufacturing unnecessary conflict should not be aspirational qualities. They should be minimum job requirements. We are new homeowners with a one-year home warranty, which means the warranty company selects the contractors dispatched to our home. We did not choose Safari. After this experience, we certainly never would. If our warranty company attempts to assign this company to another service call, we will specifically request someone else. I would rather pay a reputable HVAC company myself than deal with this level of dysfunction again. And that is perhaps the most telling review I can give a home-warranty contractor: I would rather pay out of pocket than have them return for free. There are plenty of HVAC companies competing for customers. Choose one that understands that customer service involves actually serving the customer rather than arguing with them, making false accusations, and turning the simple exchange of an email address into an ordeal. Our AC system may need repair. Safari's customer service and Ernesto needs an entirely new unit. Preferably installed by another company.

The technician was gracious enough to stop by on his way home to take a look at our AC. It was frozen solid so we had to turn it off and let it melt. He said he would return the next day to get a proper look at the unit. He checked the other unit in our attic and said we had a very severe rat infestation, which was news to us, especially since we get monthly pest control and have two cats. He comes the next day and works on the unit. He was very gruff and rude, but seemed to figure it out. He said the unit needed gas. I asked if it had been empty because we'd just refilled the freon last year due to a leak. He assured us that it was just barely missing any gas, but if it had been fully empty, he would have torn the whole thing apart to find out why it was empty. He said it didn't make sense that a small amount of gas fixed the problem, but the AC was functional so he left. It only lasted 15 hours. Then it started heating up again. I left the technician a voicemail to let him know. An hour later, I get a call from our home warranty company. The agent let us know Mega Air asked to be removed from the repair because our house was severely infested with rats. Now, to be fair, I don't know if that's how he worded it, but our warranty company got the impression that our entire home was full of rats. So we got to wait another 24 hours for a new company to be assigned to us. (BTW, our pest control person came out and checked the attic. He said there might have been one rat, but it was definitely not an active infestation. We set traps and had the attic cleaned out anyway.) Another company came and guess what? Our compressor was broken and the condenser was filthy. The new company spent several hours outside trying lots of different fixes and checking each component. That's how we found the real issue.

I called the phone number provided, and was able to get an appointment the same day after 6 pm!!! The technicien mentioned he was really busy but he will call me back after five to let me know if he could make it... 5:22 pm, I received the call from Mega Air, and he told me he will be at my residence in 20 minutes. In fact, he arrived right on point at 5:40 pm. Matt left around 6:20 pm, and was able to fix the issue in less than 1 hour! Amazing job! I appreciated Mega Air to go above and beyond their customer's expectations! Matt is a "life saver" knowing that 32*F is coming around the corner. I will recommend Mega Air without a doubt, and will request them if need it in the future! Thank you again!
