This is a long overdue review. I had Michael from Air Pure come out to do a duct cleaning of my house. Michael arrived on time, was professional, courteous, friendly and detailed. He checked and serviced our air handlers, AC condensers, cleaned 20 vents including our dryer vent. I was completely satisfied and would recommend their services. About 1 month later, one of the fans and capacitors went out on one of the AC condensers. Fortunately, it was later in the evening when I noticed it so I didn't have to suffer too much. I called the service number and they told me that all remaining appointments for that evening had been booked for the day but they could come 1st part of the morning the following day. Ed called and showed up 1st thing in the morning at about 8:30 am to do a diagnostic and make the necessary repairs. He was professional, courteous, friendly and efficient. He explained to me that my fan had seized. To get everything running again I needed a new condenser motor, contactor and capacitor. He carried all the parts on his van so there was no waiting for parts. A little more than 1 hour my AC was back up, running and my house was cool again. Just in time for the afternoon heat. I would recommend their services and was completely satisfied with the work of both technicians. I will be using them for all my heating and cooling needs. read more

My mom has several lung issues. We hired this company and they cleaned and sanitized her vents. They charged her $731 for the best possible service! The basic service was $400. The evening that her vents were cleaned, she ended up in the hospital for a month with severe pneumonia! When I called and spoke to the manager about warning people to stay away from their home should they have compromised lungs, she got defensive and said it had nothing to do with the cleaning! There was no apology or acknowledgment that this was their doing! They never offered the minimum of an apology! They should refund my mom for the additional $400 for the sanitizing because if they did use sanitizer, she would not have to spend a month in the hospital and have a ton of hospital bills! I probably should give this company a 1 star review, but since they never actually came out to our place, we will give them the benefit of the doubt. We had an appointment scheduled for May 4th. and we were not sure what was wrong with the cooling in our home, so this company offered to come and give us a free estimate. We received a voicemail from one of their associates on the scheduled service day to tell us they were shorthanded and would need to reschedule. (This after we had already taken the day off from work to be home for their visit). After hearing the VM, I phoned Air Pure and got a rather short person on the phone who argued with us that having to reschedule an appointment was not considered a cancellation to us. We considered it a cancellation because they basically inconvenienced us and the company did not seem to show any reasonable care to this effect. We found out about this company after receiving one of those coupon mailers we received, and they advertise Air Duct Cleaning for $7.99 per vent. I guess at the end of the day, we knew such a price was too good to be true, so all in all we are glad they did not come to our home. More than likely it would have been a bait and switch where we would have to pay a much higher price for more extensive duct cleaning. Be careful with this company! read more

DIDN'T WORK FOR ME! I'm writing this because I got suckered and I don't want others to make the same mistake. I have noticed for the last few years that I would get a runny nose and sneezing episodes early in the morning when the A/C or heater came on. I didn't have that problem outside. So, I kept receiving these coupons, from Air Pure, claiming, if you have this problem, they "maybe" could help by cleaning the air ducts. Notice they use the word "maybe". Well, I agree with another "reviewer", the coupon is a scam. During the estimate they never mention the $7.99 p/air duct, just a package deal, which in my case was $225. That's about what I wanted to spend so I said OK. So, they show up with this archaic equipment, no bootie protection over shoes, did (4) vents, I had (12), did some cleaning on the wall vents. I asked the guy about the other vents and he gave some song and dance technical jargon about the vents being connected. Then they asked to be paid, and left. Next day, in the morning, I felt pretty good. I'm thinking it worked. The day after that I was back to a runny nose + sneezing, and have been ever since. Company came out about a year and did a horrible job. They were suppose to clean my dryer vent and now I know they didn't because I had another company come do the job. Air pure didn't even get near my dryer nor did they go up on the roof where the vent is at plus they charged me a lot for not doing the work. They are not NADCA certified. When having air ducts cleaned it is recommended to go on the NADCA website and search for a company that is certified. read more

Got a coupon for air duct cleaning at an unbeatable price. Robert W. Was the HVAC technician that came out. Robert was professional and explained my options for duct, return, coil, and air handler cleaning. We agreed to have everything cleaned from ducts to the furnace. Robert provided a quote in writing and spent several hours of his day providing the service we agreed on. Robert sent before and after photos (upon request) and also found a leak at the air handler plenum which he sealed up. He also changed my filters that I had on hand. Thanks to Robert's service this HVAC system will operate more definitely efficiently moving forward. While this did come at a little but of a cost I was impressed with everything from start to finish. There were no tricks or games, which are common with other HVAC companies. read more

This is the 2nd time having this company clean the air ducts in my house. It's been 5 years since the last cleaning and I have the service done again with this same company. Again, I was not disappointed. Very very pleased with the completed service. Michael, the owner, and his workers Josh and Juan were there on time and came into my home prepared to work. They even put on shoe covers when they came inside without me ever saying a word. They really take pride in their work as can be evidenced by the way they wear shoe covers and making sure things are in order after they are done with the work. BAIT and SWITCH, offered reasonable rates and then sent out a guy who said he couldn't clean my vents without the ducts being resealed. At an additional cost of course! He determined this after a 2 second poking of his head into my attic and pealing off a section of duct tape that was already sealed. Didn't bother to look at the other 16 connections or realize that they had been resealed already the year before and was also inspected 2 weeks prior by a home inspection company. We found Air Pure's ad and coupon in a moving packet. Our new home had sat vacant for over a year and the vents were filthy. Plus, apparently, the previous owners never changed their air filters. Michael and his assistant showed up on time and quickly got to work. We had several vents and they cleaned them quickly. I really appreciate that they put a tarp down in each room before cleaning the vents so we were not left with a mess to clean up after they left. One of the selling points of our house was a fancy ionic air vent. Michael told us that they actually cost technicians about $75 to order and then they are commonly sold to customers for over $700. He had no problem telling us that these are common up-sells to customers just to make more money. Michael even advised us that we could replace them with standard electrostatic air filters and recommended getting them at a local hardware store. None of that, "I just happen to have some in the truck" trick that a lot of home repair technicians like to pull! Michael is super passionate about allergens and air quality and just wants the job done right, whether it makes him more money or not. Within an hour of Air Pure leaving our home, our house smelled noticeably better! It's been two days since they came and I am noticing a huge improvement in the air quality. No more stuffy nose and much less sneezing. The price was incredibly reasonable and they only suggest getting the vents cleaned every five years! I was solicited with a flyer for Air Duct Cleaning from AIR PURE INC. The price on the flyer was $7.99 per vent. I confirmed the price with the company prior to having them come to my home. Michael and Josh arrived, and all sounded very nice; I counted ten vents in my home, while Michael count eleven ( this is not the issue). So, when all was said and done, the price, all of a sudden, was $277. What happened? Michael explained ( without further inspection of the system) that he needed to clean the main unit (Plenum, components, & interior housing) ... which was not part of the special $7.99 offer. So basically it was a BAIT AND SWITCH !! Not a very good business practice. So be aware, this firm tries to LOW BALL the advertised price, and once inside your home, and you have wasted time waiting for them to show up, they then "upsell" you on unexpected charges, and change the price thinking that you will just go for it! I did not fall off the turnip truck last week. This type of dealing should be banned, and honesty should be the name of the game, but apparently NOT HERE. BE AWARE. read more

Once in a while I would see Air Pure's van service in our complex. Then I received a local ValPak envelope with their coupon. The company exist so why not try them? Robert, the service technician came complete with all his cleaning tools (big and small) to clean our air ducts and returns (this cleans the air passage to the A/C and Furnace to remove all dirt and dust) and dryer vents. It was an involved cleaning process job and took about two hours. Robert did a thorough and involved cleaning job; he explained the process before hand. And carrying those big heavy cleaning machine and other tools up the stairs was something else. The last time we had the air ducts cleaned was two and a half years ago. We felt the air was fresher after the cleaning. Price seemed reasonable for all the areas cleaned; thanks to the discount coupon as well. read more

I called this company to diagnostic one of my outside AC unit to check that Fan was running. The guy name ED came from Air Supply instead of Air Pure. He said they both are same company. I explain issue to him and without opening the unit he told me it will cost me $900. I searched on Google and 90% people explain that if the compressor is running, without running the AC the Fan Is freely spinning then the it's Capacitor issue, So, why don't you try to change the capacitor he then opened the cover checked and said I still need to re-assemble unit now it will cost $450, I told him I already talked to your office and told them it may need to change the capacitor so they said tell to our technician and he will do that. He said it's a summer (I don't know what does that mean, is he want to take summer advantage and make money ). He called to his office and after call he said he will change the capacitor and it will charge $100 but no warranty, It may work for few days only which lead me, not to believe on him and the Air Pure because he may do wrong connection and nothing will work. I called to their office but after 5 min hold they said Manager will call me back. I am still waiting for call. I already paid them for their service call fee. I will never recommend this to anyone. Please, do not work with this unprofessional and unprepared company, "Air Pure Inc." First, their office employees LIED about not being able to reach my mother on the telephone. They claim that they called the exact number we gave but reached a man on the phone who said it was a wrong number. Lies. Then, I called the number that texted my phone about the appointment. A man who sounded like I had just woken him up said I needed to call the office. Apparently, he could text me, but I could not call him back. A run-around. Zerorez is a lot more expensive in their initial quote but far more professional. Do not waste your time with Air Pure Inc, a company that is totally unprepared to do actual business. I will also be calling Valpak, where we got the coupon, to complain. And a note to "Itzhak D." the alleged manager: It is not very convincing when you only reply to positive reviews. You should take the time to acknowledge your many negative reviews. Your company is 3.5 stars with only 26 reviews for a reason: poor customer service, lying staff, and unprofessional behavior. In my experience, if a person calls 702-204-4598, they get a grumpy, lazy young woman on the phone who tells lies about not being able to reach the customer even with the correct phone number. I don't even know where to start. If I could leave zero stars I would. First off, the technician, Robert, came to give us a quote to clean our air ducts. While counting vents and checking things, he was up in my attic and all of a sudden there was a hole in my ceiling! He came down and said a piece of wood went through and it wasn't even nailed down, etc. He started cursing as I am live teaching kindergarten and my husband is on the phone with customers (and the tech new that!) He finally gets the quote together and it is over $1200. I asked him for a price on replacement of my furnace and never received it. He was so all over the place it was so hard to understand what work was included in the quote. My husband and I wanted to discuss it but the technician wouldn't give us any privacy to do so. Anytime I said anything to my husband, the technician interrupted us. Just to get him to shut up so we could both get back to work, we agreed. He begins working and I let him know how long until I am live with students again. He warns me that the machine is very loud! Well, I had specifically asked the lady when I made the appointment if it would be loud and she said no! If she would've been honest I would've scheduled it for a different day. Ok, so then he is doing his thing for the next few hours. He ends up taking about $150 off for some vents that he couldn't get to, etc. He leaves and I'm teaching so I can't check his work before he leaves. But once I was done for the day, I was able to look. At every single vent, there is dust and junk all over the floor. He didn't even clean up after himself. The worst area is the stairs which is right below where he created a hole in my ceiling! Robert was so inconsiderate with his loud voice and curse words all day. My husband has now been vacuuming upstairs for 40 minutes and hasn't even started downstairs for anything! They are sending someone out here in two days to fix my ceiling. I will never recommend this company to anyone. In fact, I will let everyone I know to never use them for anything! read more
