These guys great. Ryan, the GM, came out to do a spring system check. He alerted to a couple issues that prior service techs (company to rename unnamed) missed last fall. As a result, the system was not performing properly. There was a leak in refrigerant, was short cycling and wound internally shut off, and was not configured properly for zoned system. The existing system was installed when we purchased this house new in 2018 but was contractor grade. Ryan provided a couple of solutions but decided to replace. Very good price for a better quality system. The install techs, Roger and Dom, completed the install today. Very professional and went extra to be sure zone system was functioning properly. Good thing I called Blue Collar for a second opinion. They saved me hundreds of dollars. The first company misdiagnosed the issue and said that the dampers were broken. That is not true. Kyle tested the dampers and they were working properly. The actual problem were due to dirty filters and installed upside down. They were also very restrictive due to high Merv ratings. Kyle educated the tenant and will be replacing the filters properly. I highly recommended Blue Collar. I told my property manager to only contact Blue Collar going forward. If you need help with your HVAC, no need to call anyone else. read more

When our AC turned off a few weeks ago my heart dropped, imagining spending $1000s on a new unit. Came across Blue Collar on yelp and gave them a shot. I'm so happy we did! Kyle and his partner arrived to assess the situation and had an answer for me in no time. Most importantly the answer wasn't you need a new unit lol condensation was building up which was prompting the unit to auto shut off and they fixed the problem in about hour. Having a home that was built in 1969 can be so nerve wracking, never knowing if it's going to be a huge issue, so it was a relief to have the problem fixed for a great price and fast. I called Blue Collar HVAC to get a second opinion on service that was told my AC unit needed this past week by another company. Kyle arrived towards the beginning of my two hour window and was incredible. He showed me all the reading numbers, showed me the tolerance ranges for those numbers on the panel of my unit and explained what it all meant. Kyle did not agree with the original bid for work I had received earlier that week and showed me evidence as to why. We've had Blue Collar HVAC come out to do maintenance services on our furnace + ac unit. Kyle has been amazing and so professional! We first met Kyle in December. What we thought was a maintenance service, turned into replacing some furnace components because our furnace was experiencing an intermittent issue because the unit was shutting off after 2-4 minutes of run time. Then we called them again for ac unit service before weather starts to heat up again. We requested for Kyle again because he was great the last time. He showed us how our ac unit looked like inside, what needed to be maintained, importance of keeping an eye on certain parts that were showing signs of wear... we love that! PHENOMENAL! These guys were amazing from the moment I called. Called on a Wednesday just before noon because my ac stopped cooling a second time in a few days. Was given a 12-2 window for the arrival of the tech. I couldn't even tell you what time Ryan came by but it was FAST. The unit was on its last leg as it was 29 years old and there wasn't really a way to fix it or guarantee any timeline from it. As a homeowner, my wallet immediately turned to dust, so I asked about financing options. They had some good options but I opted for the long term low interest. It was quick and easy and done on Ryan's tablet. Installation set for Friday morning of new unit. Honestly the quote was pretty much what I expected and I really didn't want to call out a bunch of companies to quote me. I have cats at home and cannot risk losing ac in the middle of summer. Friday morning, Roger and his team arrived early and ready to go. These guys were wonderful. The amount of work they had to do was wild but the care they showed in my home made all the difference. They laid down mats to walk on and took caution of their surroundings when replacing the inside unit. No scuffs, dings, or scratches, and nothing broken. This was huge for me. Another reason these guys were top notch, towards the end of the day, something wasnt clicking off or something, and we were well over 8 hours of these guys here, but they made sure that on a Friday evening after fighting with this stuff all day, that they got it functioning properly. That 82 degrees was creeping up to 90 degrees even with the air conditioning on full blown We are a house of only woman (me & my Mom) and I hated having to call HVAC people just for various reasons I found Blue Collar through YELP and their 5 star reviews made me drawn to them so I made a quick call I believe I spoke to the owner Steve D. We called Blue Collar HVAC because our AC was blowing warm air, even though the unit itself was turning on. My husband was able to do some initial troubleshooting and suspected there was a leak. Kyle came out on Monday morning and confirmed that there was indeed a leak. He determined it was somewhere within the unit but couldn't pinpoint the exact location at that time. There was some miscommunication during that visit, and the next available appointment wasn't until Friday. I initially wrote a review expressing my disappointment, especially since it seemed like I was the only one who had that experience. I tried to chalk it up to an off day, knowing no one is perfect all the time, but I was disappointed nonetheless. Shortly after, Steve, the owner, reached out and left a voicemail to make things right. I wasn't able to connect with him directly due to a busy schedule with work and my kids' activities, but his voicemail and follow-up email were thoughtful and proactive. He provided a resolution and was able to move up our appointment. Kyle returned the following day, located the leak, and recharged our AC. He did a great job, and we now have a working system again--just in time for these record-setting temperatures. I decided to replace my 34-year old unit before it had a chance to quit on me. I got quotes from three other businesses, and decided Steve from Blue Collar HVAC seemed to be the most honest company with a competitive quote. I decided to switch from gas furnace to a high efficiency electric heat pump. I was able to have the new unit installed within a few days by Steve and Justin. Install went well and Justin was very knowledgeable explaining all the workings of the heat pump as he was configuring my thermostat. From the time I requested service through Yelp, scheduled my appointment with Jessica and then Kyle servicing my AC, their customer service has been impeccable. Jessica was very thorough in explaining what my service included. Kyle was also very thorough in explaining what he would be doing during my appointment. When he was finished working on my unit, he showed me a video that he had recorded summarizing what he had done. I first called Polar Air. They quoted me about $1200 to fix the control board and power switch on my furnace. I wanted a 2nd opinion so I called Blue Collar HVAC. They came out the next day and said it's the control board not the power switch. The quote was a little less so I went with them. When the guy came out the next day it was a different guy. He said that's is not the control board and it was the switch. It only cost me $425 to fix it and now I have cold A/C again. I really appreciate his honesty. It's hard to come by.
