Omar was dispatched and immediately did his general inspections once arriving. Then he went into the attic where he started doing his diagnostics and found out the blower motor itself was dead even though proper voltage was being sent to it. (Common with Bosch units). After just owning this new home for 2 months, Omar was able to help with cost of the repair from the unit and work out with our independent home warranty to get the job done right. Omar was very thorough and explained and answered questions I had in regards to the parts and a/c unit, I appreciate his honesty and going out to get our blower motor and return to complete the job on our intricate bosch unit. Legacy was once a reputable company, but over the past one to two years the quality of service has significantly declined. During that time, I have repeatedly been given inaccurate information regarding service recommendations and repairs that later appeared unnecessary. Today's service appointment was the most concerning example. I maintain a paid annual club membership that includes maintenance for both my tankless water heater and HVAC system. The technician arrived nearly two hours late and appeared exhausted. Most troubling, the scheduled tankless water heater flush -- the primary purpose of the visit -- was never performed. Instead, the technician took photographs and left without completing the service. Two days prior to this appointment I seriously considered canceling my membership due to ongoing concerns with the company's declining service standards. Unfortunately, I decided to give Legacy one final opportunity and renewed the membership. The outcome of today's appointment unfortunately confirmed my concerns. As a result, I will now be pursuing a chargeback for services that were paid for but not delivered. This level of service is unacceptable. After five years as a loyal customer, I expected professional conduct, timely service, and completion of the work that was scheduled. They even were able to get the tech to my house ahead of schedule. After discussing my issues with Ethan, the tech, he worked quickly and efficiently. Two months ago my air conditioning stopped working. The first technician couldn't fix it. We then went 4 days without air conditioning. House temperature was 96 degrees. The second technician did a temporary fix and said he had to order replacement parts and would notify me as soon as they came in. Two weeks later I called and asked if the parts arrived. There is zero chance I'll ever use this company again. Their technician told me my options were either a $23,000 full system replacement or to "gamble" on a $3,000 repair that might not work. Those were presented as my only realistic options. I got a second opinion. The other HVAC company diagnosed the actual problem and fixed it for $150. The difference between a $23,000 replacement, a $3,000 "gamble," and a $150 repair is staggering. It completely destroyed my trust in this company. They told me my system was in terrible shape and needed this repair and the second opinion said the exact opposite and said "actually your system is in great shape." It's wild to me that companies like this can get away with this and I know it's a tactic to try and take advantage of homes that don't do their research. read more

He was professional, answered my questions, personable, explained the Spring Tune Up details, and provided his recommendations (insulation upgrade being one of the recommendations). Nick provided me with an invoice of the Spring Tune up, and his recommendations w/estimates via email at the time of service. However, over the past few months I've been having certain issues with this company, most recently pertaining to scheduling and lack of communication on their part. I consider myself a reasonable person, so an issue once or twice is understandable (nobody is perfect) and as long as the issue is resolved, it is forgivable. I spoke about my concerns with Nick while he was on-site for the Spring Tune Up, and also called Legacy Air and spoke with a representative about my concerns. The representative provided me with the emails of two managers. I then emailed the managers about my concerns. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience with Legacy in a very scary time as a home owner. I contacted them due to a leaking toilet that was causing water to pour onto the floor the subsequently into a vent that lead to my kitchen. The technician was initially kind but complained the entire time. Various complaints about his boss and dispatch making him leave a previous job for my concern that wasn't an "emergency", how he needed to "learn how to speak to those women without losing his job" referring to the women in the office that worked dispatch, overcharging for services, and informing me that he could had my anxiety worse by insisting that I go through my insurance for restoration even though there was no water damage yet. He left my house after providing an insane quote ($2k for one toilet and a few valves replaced) and left the water leaking! If you're considering doing business with Legacy Air, you should know that this company acquired Precision Air, and based on my firsthand experience with how this job was handled, I would strongly encourage anyone to think twice before trusting either name. A close friend of mine called for service because one exterior air conditioning condenser had failed. Instead of repairing or replacing the failed unit, he was convinced to authorize nearly $20,000 in work that included replacing both exterior condensers, both indoor air handlers/furnaces, and what he was told would include ductwork replacement. My friend has little knowledge of HVAC systems and relied completely on the expertise and honesty of the technicians. That trust appears to have been exploited. After I became aware of what happened, I inspected the installation and quickly realized there were numerous questions that deserved answers. Most concerning, we were told the ductwork had been replaced, yet the ductwork appears to be the same original ductwork. If it was replaced, I would like Legacy Air to identify exactly what was replaced because there is no obvious evidence that this work was performed. Six service vehicles arrived at the home, the house was torn apart, and an enormous amount of expensive work was performed even though the original problem involved a single failed outdoor unit. At no point was there a clear explanation of why replacing four major HVAC components was necessary instead of addressing the failed condenser. This experience raises serious concerns about overselling, unnecessary replacement recommendations, and whether the work performed matched what was represented and billed. Because of what I've seen, we are documenting everything. We are obtaining independent HVAC inspections, preserving photographs and records, and pursuing every available avenue for review, including complaints with consumer protection agencies, the Better Business Bureau, the Nevada State Contractors Board, and any other appropriate regulatory authorities. We are also evaluating all available legal remedies. If Legacy Air believes every recommendation and every charge was justified, then they should have no issue providing complete documentation explaining: * Why replacing both complete HVAC systems was necessary. * Why repair was not a viable option. * Exactly what ductwork was allegedly replaced. * Documentation supporting every labor hour and every component installed. Consumers deserve honest recommendations, transparent pricing, and work that matches what they were promised. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Legacy Air or its predecessor, Precision Air, and I sincerely hope no one else has to question whether they paid tens of thousands of dollars for work they never actually needed. read more

I agree with some of the other reviewers that Legacy used to be a reputable company, but their service has gone down hill. They don't keep their appointments. I had a rental property serviced and they waited until after changing filters to tell me the disconnects we locked. I asked them to cut them off but they refused. They did not provide any time for me to rectify this issue before leaving. I attempted to call and complain but I couldn't even get ahold of a manager to talk to. I used to think Legacy was the best, but they have outgrown themselves and are far from it. I would avoid them at all costs. read more

I had used Legacy Air for home and work for 15 years + and referred them to many people as reliable and honest. They have sold to a big company, Apex, and are no longer reliable or trustworthy. Most recently, they pulled out a fuse and then claimed we needed a repair that we don't need but even if we did, the repair wouldn't have been necessary until fall so there was no reason other than greed to leave us and our 4 dogs without a/c in this heat. Also this company is the same as Legacy Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical I think so look at those review too. read more

I recently became a widow and found that life continues, so I found myself taking on some routine maintenance duties of the household. That included my A/C units. I have two and we had one replaced last year. I had searched through the bookkeeping and previous paperwork for the house. I had even searched my husband's contacts but could only find one A/C company. Thinking that was who had serviced and replaced our unit last year I gave Legacy Air Conditioning a call. They found evidence of a house call in 2018 but nothing more recent. They happily offered to come out and check my A/C units. My technician, Kevin was a really great guy. He checked both units outside and checked the furnace in the attic. My brother in law had recently made a visit and I had him change the four filters in the ceiling at the top of the stairs. I cannot believe that some design guy thought it was a good place to put A/C filters. Not only are they at top of stairs but 20 feet high. But being a super nice guy, Kevin offered to change them but since they didn't need it, he instructed a replacement in a few months. Overall, my units are working well, he said that the old unit was still putting out but he cautioned that it might last and it might not. And give them a call if anything happens. The service call went very well. My technician was on time, knowledgeable, very helpful and made sure I knew what he was checking and the results of his checkup. He assured me that Legacy Air Conditioning would be happy to service my units at anytime. Cautioned towards the coming heat of summer and not over doing the old unit. I felt very comfortable with the service provided. Kevin was a great technician and made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Legacy Air Conditioning. read more

I can't say enough to express our upmost appreciation for the time, quality, and kindness that Kevin and his trainee, Javante showed us during our service call. We called Legacy Air to take advantage of their summer AC tune up special. When Kevin came out he explained to us what his visit will entail, which included taking a look at our furnace. That seemed odd to us since it was summer but he took the time to explain that 30% of the AC function is facilitated by the furnace. We've been in our home for 9 years. Every year we've had another company come out and service our AC and never have they explained to us that the AC and furnace work hand in hand nor did they look at the furnace when they came out to service the AC. After inspection of our AC unit Kevin came in and went over everything that is going on with the unit in full detail. He told us we had a leak, which we were aware of but he offered us the option to apply a seal to add to the fluid that he would add into the AC system and would be back in a month to see if it worked. We have never had any other company offer us the option of a seal. He spent 2 hours working on our system in this Las Vegas heat, all the while keeping in good spirits. At the end of the service, Kevin offered us a membership for a year that includes service for AC, furnace and plumbing. After the amazing service provided by Kevin and his trainee Javante, we couldn't turn down the membership. We've requested that Kevin be our service provider going forward. read more

I have been a customer of Legacy AC for over ten years. When I decided to replace the three HVAC units in a 20 year old house I bought in 2019 I went with Legacy AC based on fair pricing and my prior experience with them servicing the systems at my previous home. I recently notice that my electric bills were showing an increase in AC usage vs last year for my master bedroom even though the outside temperatures were very close and my thermostat settings were unchanged. I called Legacy who was able to schedule a service technician within a couple of days. Ivan showed up on time and went right to work. He diagnosed and fixed my problem. While doing so he did notice and provide me photos of seriously inadequate attic insulation. After a three-way discussion with Legacy AC management we arrived at a corrective plan which we've scheduled to be done this week, I continue to be very pleased with my decisions to use Legacy AC for my HVAC needs. read more

He explained they were very busy and part of the problem was two people did the same jobs at different times he that my bill was incorrect. They did not calculate the senior discount and overcharged on one thing so he is refunding me approximately $300 on my bill. I appreciate the time they took and I know they busy company. I wrote my original review when the other owners had Legacy. They were amazing. While my units are working well and the twice a year maintenance is fine. Here is my issue. I spent over $22,000 on my units. They are not even 4 years old. Every time Legacy comes out they have a minimum of $3,000 in suggested fixes or maintenance. This past week they are recommending about $5,000. $2700 for duct cleaning (Seriously????) $1200 for a special surge protector $966 for a capacitor replacement (tech didn't even mention it) They just sent it. Now it's winter and a legacy air salesperson called to schedule a cleaning for the heat pump and also to flush the water heater. Made 2 separate appointments and now both appointments have been cancelled in a text saying basically "we're too busy to do the cleaning" UNACCEPTABLE . Do better. Signed up for the annual electrical/AC/plumbing check because was so impressed with electrical work, which I would give 5 stars. The plumbing check was thorough, but a scam. They're interested only in conning you into a whole house repiping, giving only a quote for that and not for other issues including a leak found at the outside water source. I can't wait to see what happens with the AC check next week. read more
