I wanted to get walleye so we came here to get it. It was an early dinner--around 3 PM. The restaurant is actually the dining room of a country club and it has that feel--relaxed and entitled. Went here for a late lunch early dinner about 3:30 while staying at the KOA near devils tower. Ordered the cheese curds, the back 9 burger w/ fries, the walleye w/ broccolini and Caesar salad. The cheese curds were just ok, I've had better. The burger, walleye and the rest were really good. Must have had a new waitress, she didn't ask if we wanted water, didn't know if there was a beer menu or wine list and couldn't really answer much about the menu items but did find out when we asked about them. Being part of the country club the decor is very nice as expected. Prices were more reasonable than expected. The view is on a hill overlooking the golf course and surrounding hills. We were staying nearby and really excited for big steaks in beef country. Sadly, we were entirely underwhelmed by both the food and the faux-elegant golf club setting. Sorry, this is not a high-end restaurant, by any means. If you have ever been to a classic steakhouse, you'd be sorely disappointed here; I regret to say that the steaks were closer to Applebee's than Morton's. On the plus side, the caesar salad was good and the service was efficient and friendly. read more

We came here for dinner after seeing Devil's Tower. What a delight! We sat out on the deck and was approached by Lisa right away. She took our drink order and we looked over the menu. We decided on the Hulett Landing Strip medium rare. It came out perfect. We split it and it was plenty for each of us. The steak was so flavorful and we both commented on it. The bar inside is fabulous. I commented on it when were being seated. Check it out. You will not see another one like it. It's an original from back in the 1800's. It's a masterpiece. The perfect spot for patio seating with a view. I loved the laid-back yet upscale vibe and the privacy of the restaurant. It was so peaceful and the view of the trees and golf course was stunning. They have a great lunch menu, but if you want a steak, make your way for dinner. Grilled Chicken Sandwhich. Amazing and even came with a toasted bun. The fries were my favorite as well. Two nights in a row we had flies, slow service and so-so food. First dinner we waited at the table for about 15 minutes before anyone came over to even take our drink order. I had a chicken salad with blue cheese dressing but they sent vinaigrette, which was corrected quickly. Salad was warm, bowl was cool. Swatting flies is not something anyone should need to do in a restaurant with inside seating. Wife had French dip and sweet potato fries which was great. Hot fries, soft bread and thin sliced prime rib. Second night we waited again for about 10-15 minutes before anyone came over and this night was 'wait to be seated'. I had a lighter appetite so I had 2 sliders that had little to no flavor, the buns were not that good and the tomatoes were slightly green. Wife had ribeye ordered medium and received it medium and warm instead of hot as it should be if served directly from the grill. Flies were still an issue and other patrons had the same issue. Prices are fair for the remote location but service and food quality need a lot of work. There was no other option for dinner in this town so either bring your own food to the area or maybe get lucky and show up here on a night where they know how to run a restaurant. By the way, the first bill they bring has the customer fill in the tip before they ever run a credit card. I find that to be improper. read more

The good stuff: The service was exceptional! Our waiter (and her husband) were both attentive and hilarious. We really enjoyed our interaction with the them. The "meh": Its a golf course clubhouse, and has the ambiance of one. No character to the restaurant at all, and by the hostess description, the entire place was built around an antique bar. It felt exactly the way it was described, like a multimillionaire built a facility to satisfy his own ego and impress his frat buddies. The Awful: Ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it was nearly inedible. As a chef, I would never have allowed that dish to leave the kitchen. The Alfredo "sauce" served is a dry mix provided by Sysco that was just mixed with milk and warmed. I know this because I buy the same thing from Sysco. However, I know that it needs additional seasoning and a fair amount of butter and parmesan to make it suitable for service. If this review finds it's way to the Head Chef, I suggest you buy the pre-made Alfredo sauce from Sysco. Its a little more expensive, but is light years better than the powder and takes less time to prepare. However, at that price point, you really should be making it from scratch. Its not that difficult. All in all, I found the service wonderful, the restaurant and ambiance pretentious, and the food horrible. And when you make a House Salad, toss it, ok? I shouldn't have to mix on my plate. read more

My wife and I came here with family for our anniversary. I got tbe pork chops and my wife got the mahi mahi. Overall the view was solid and it overlooked the golf course, which was enjoyable. The food was ok. Mine was over-seasoned but flavorful. My wife enjoyed her fish and sides. A few others in our party got the tower burger and patty melt which they said was great. The service was incredibly slow and they brought us the 307 when we asked for a dark beer. We ordered a drink before the food came but got it when we were basically finished and had to rush through it to beat the storm. He was friendly but group consensus was his service was poor and didn't live up their previous trips to 77. The mule was really well made. Good experience but hoping for a little better for the anniversary spot. read more

The staff here is amazing! We really enjoyed our experience at this spot. Okay seriously the views from the outside patio are great from all sides. Definitely a nice sunset spot! And romantic I guess if that's your thing ;) The bar is really cool on the inside too. Heck even the parking lot had some cool views haha. This place is worth it for the ambiance alone. Food was also great! I had the French dip sandwich and loved it, and the cheese curds were delicious. Very disappointed in the food! I ordered a chicken fried steak as it was $28 and "hand-breaded". What i got was a breaded mystery meat patty off the food truck! So bad! The waitress was nice but they also messed up my hubby's order. Two drinks and 2 meals for $80!Would not go back again. Let waitress know we were disappointed and she said she would tell the manager. From the moment you walk in....no, scratch that....BEFORE you even walk in...in the parking lot...the views are gorgeous! Then, when you walk in, the restaurant and bar are spectacular! Perfect, elegant, western theme. Sit down at a table on the balcony and drink in the pastoral beauty of the golf course and the countryside, along with some mighty fine cocktails from the bar. Best dining and entertainment place in Hulett. Food is great and live entertainment at least on Saturday when I was there. I think the kitchen closes at 8pm on Saturday and maybe earlier midweek being Wyoming where they roll up the towns at dark. And when I say dark, it is pitch black outside, so even with your headlights it's dark! Location is out of the way, so make sure someone gives you good directions! Our times before our service has been exceptional, please work on your ribeye quality, it's tough spend $50.00 and not enjoy the meal.
