two baskets of food on a table

We stopped in to have lunch after hiking the Joyner Ridge Trail. The Staff are so friendly. I had the Chicken Tenders and my husband had the Classic Burger. Everything came out hot and fresh. The seasoning on the chicken tenders was excellent. The pricing was really good and worth it. Stay around Devil's Tower National Monument for food. It is the best in the area and has reasonable prices.

Great view out the back window. Very clean and hardy amount of food for the price. Served with a smile and on point recommendations.

The experience from beginning to finish was as follows…read more.. We enter, unsure whether to seat ourselves, and are asked, albeit almost silently, to pick a table of our liking. And upon choosing a table, we were given menus by our server, who didn't have a name tag, so I couldn't reference her specifically, and asked to select a drink. After getting water, we eagerly wait for 15-ish minutes for our waitress to take our order. After placing our order of two burgers, nothing special, we waited patiently for our food. Keep in mind, we arrived at 8:10, 50 minutes before closing. We then waited 30 minutes for our burgers, only getting a light apology after 25. Upon receiving our food, we were FAMISHED, and it tasted good! But I think practically everything tastes good when you're hungry, am I right?!? After GOBBLING our burgers down, we received the check at approximately 9:05, and the waitress was eagerly looking at the screen when we politely left a tip justifiable for the service. I'm one always to tip a server, even if the service isn't the best. At the end, we were sent off with an "okay" and nothing more. I'm not one to complain, but a thank-you would've been nice since we weren't rude to her about the insane wait time. Ultimately, be warned: when you come here, it's a cute place to take family when passing through, but not when you're on a time crunch. In short, the food is pretty good, somewhere between 6/7 out of 10, but the service was very subpar, leaving us with a sour taste in our mouths.

This restaurant has a good location in Hill City…read more The service was the highlight of my visit. Our server was a young man that was attentive and took very good care of us. The food is pretty average...a greasy spoon kind-of-place. It'd be nice if they had a few "lighter" options.

The staff are absolutely lovely - so friendly and personable, and truly seem happy to help and serve! The decor is adorable and so unique - cozy fireplaces, outdoor patio seating, big beautiful windows to let natural light in. The food was amazing. The breakfast banana split, the breakfast sandwiches, yogurt bowls and the strawberry croissant were all so delicious! And the coffee was on point - beautifully crafted and delicious. They even offer free strawberry infused water and free apples, not to mention the giant chess game you can play inside. All around a 10/10! We will most certainly be back!

We were optimistic about this…read morerestaurant as it had a beautiful outdoor seating area, unfortunately 45° temperatures in cold rain prevent prevented that from happening. We were pleasantly greeted at the kiosk. You order food as there is no table service here. Food is somewhat limited, but service was fast. The restaurant was rather cold inside and many people were sitting fully cloaked and hooded/hats on to stay warm as the front door was wide open. We asked the manager if it was possible to close the door as the temperature inside was so cold and reading the room you could see we were not the only ones that felt this way! Without explanation, we were told no and that's how it had to be. We noticed on the way out that the thermostat was set at 54°! Brrrrr So, we did not stay very long. We ate our less than adequate food with plastic cutlery and left. Probably not a spot I would go out of my way again to visit and would check out other opportunities in the area.
