I think I texted her on a Friday for a Sunday afternoon appointment as I wanted to treat my mom to get her makeup done for a wedding we were attending as guests. Nathaly primarily (only?) works out of her studio in West Covina, so she won't be able to travel to you, but that worked out fine for us as we lived close by. Her studio has just enough natural light, was kept well-air conditioned, and very clean. I appreciate that she didn't rush and stopped periodically while doing your makeup to make sure she was meeting what you were looking for. I've had makeup artists look at my reference photos and give me something completely different, so I felt very heard and respected in my wishes. My mom does not wear makeup (like ever) and English isn't her first language, but Nathaly was really friendly and still made her feel very comfortable as she was doing her makeup. She made sure my mom was able to get the coverage/look she wanted while not overdoing it and she hit it out of the park! Lastly, her prices were very reasonable and transparent! I like that she publicizes her pricing so you know ahead of time vs having to reach out and ask. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this salon ever again. I went into this salon wanting to…read morehave my hair colored and to get tape in extensions. The overall vibe and experience (in the salon) was very good and my stylist was very friendly and nice. When I left I was satisfied with the appearance of my hair. Now, I know tape-ins can be a bit uncomfortable (which they were painful when I left) but I just continued on with my day. As days went on the pain became more and more painful, so painful that where the tape-ins were installed was throbbing. I reached out to the hairstylist but didnt get a response so I contacted several other hairstylists to look at my head and get advice via photos. They all recommend to remove immediately as they were not installed properly, they were to close to the scalp with to much tension. My friend who is also a licensed hairstylist said the same thing and helped me remove them that night (which was 6 days of me having them in). I finally got a hold of the stylist who did my hair and let her know of the situation. She told me I had a sensitive scalp and it could have been caused by some underlining health issues. (That is not the case) as I told her that I've bleach my hair and had things done to my hair for years and NEVER had any scalp issues like this. I did ask for a partial refund and not a full refund. I asked for a partial refund because of the physical bodily harm that was caused to me due to the improper installation. I was told no; that once my head heals she'll just install them again just further away from the root and I will not be receiving a refund. Not only did I not have the hair in for that long (6 days) but if I didnt remove them it could have caused even further permanent damage to my scalp. I spent $450 not including the tip of $40 that I gave the stylist.
