I came in with an idea of what I wanted and left with the perfect balayage and cut. Joann was extremely patient and really took her time in making sure everything was done with precision and in all honesty the service exceeded my expectations. I felt bad that I chose a rather complicated service at such a late time, but she assured me that it was ok and proceed to take the time necessary in giving me the cut and color I requested. Eddie is a great stylist. For the past two years we have been driving for an hour and a half to have my girlfriend's hair done. We were recommended by a friend who has known Eddie for many years. She had badly damaged hair and had a keratin treatment among other things. After he was done, needless to say, my girlfriend was ecstatic! We have personally witnessed several of his customers come in with disaster hair and walk out with beautiful hair. Just look at the pictures and the reviews. They are true. Eddie has magic hands. I read some reviews before writing this one and saw that some people mentioned the parking situation and that the place looked "kinda sketchy." Well we went today and visited his new salon and am happy to report that the new location is great but also the parking situation is also much better. He has also added more personnel as well as additional services such as facials, microblading and many other services. Thanks again Eddie and Miriam for all of your hard work. It has been months since I first posted this review. We came back to get my girlfriends hair done and since I was looking pretty shaggy she tells me, "why don't you get your hair cut?" I said ok and Miriam had time so I did. Miriam was great, she washed my hair asked me what I wanted and proceeded to cut my hair. I have very straight and thick hair so whenever I get it cut if they make a mistake it shows. I was very pleasantly surprised, my haircut was great. Was also surprised at what it cost. I have been hesitant to try a new hair stylist since moving to Azusa from LA. After 2 years of no cut and the temptation to start cutting my own hair, I walked into Chic salon and booked a haircut for wavy hair with Eddie. I also asked if he would be open to using Cecred product I had gotten at Ulta that I was also hesitant to do myself. Eddie is such a professional and warm energy to be around, he was glad to try the hair treatment and also guided me in deciding the best cut based on my hair type and damage. I got long layers with framing around my face and absolutely felt revived!! I loved it so much I scheduled again for the next day to get a color treatment. Eddie suggested to do toner and no bleach to preserve the health of my hair and also styled it after. His blowout curl lasted 3 days. I will be back on a prompt 6 week schedule because I have absolutely found my new hairstylist! TL;DR If you are in Azusa you don't have to go far for a quality cut and a good time! I absolutely loved my experience at Chic Beauty Salon! The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the entire visit was smooth from start to finish. They got me in and out in under an hour during my lunch break, which was incredible, and I still received amazing care. Ebony -- I hope I'm saying her name correctly -- was wonderful. She was kind, professional, and did a fantastic job on my hair. She even added a small treatment, which made the experience feel even more thoughtful and special. It's hard to find a salon that is this efficient, talented, and attentive all at once. Chic Beauty Salon truly exceeded my expectations. When I left the Philippines for almost a year now to migrate here in the US, one of my worries is finding a good hair stylist because the one taking care of my hair there is so good that the outcome of my hair style, color and highlights is always perfect. So when I got my first hair cut since I arrived here, it was not followed by another for obvious reason. Today, I really can't take anymore how my hair looks thus, I walked in this salon and was greeted by Miriam. At first it will only be a simple trim but was convinced by her to have hair coloring for my gray (which I normally do myself) and later on to include highlights, the result of all I am very much satisfied. Anayancy is amazing I went in having black box dye from 7 months ago and i wanted a balyage she took all precautions needed to make sure my hair stayed as healthy as possible and it came out lighter than i expected!! i got an appointment set up right Away she requested a picture of my hair without me telling her anything except that I had the Black hair dye she was able to tell that previously (before the black)my hair was very light (blonde)that says a lot about her knowledge in hair. So I went to get my hair done at Chic Beautify Salon by Iris. I was delighted by how welcoming and safe I felt by everyone. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. I was so amazed on how my keratin treatment came out. It left my hair feeling smooth, brighter, and alive again. Iris did south an amazing job with my color, style, and treatment for my new look. Tara was my stylist and was so awesome! She spent time asking about what I wanted to accomplish and really listening to what my priorities are when it comes to my hair. She took time to educate me about how to best maintain the color between visits including what different shampoos actually do (purple counters yellow while blue counters orange/brassy hair). After noticing the toner made my hair a bit darker than what I wanted, she swiftly found a solution to lift the color a bit). Ari, her assistant, helped wash and brighten, then blow dry my hair and was really great as well! Both ladies were professional and helpful. And the best part - they were really accommodating and able to squeeze me in the same day for a color, toner, blow dry then curl appointment. And the whole place had a great relaxing vibe with country music playing in the background and relaxing conversations on and off throughout the visit.
