Indian dinner buffet is a rare find, so I had to give this restaurant a try. For 2 adult buffet and 1 mango lassi, it was around $50 before tip. Kind of pricey, but also kind of not when you think about how much it would cost for a-la-carte ordering. The food and choices is about 2x more than you would find on a typical Indian buffet, which includes additional homemade items like pizza, chicken wings, fried chicken, and 4 different desserts. What makes this place special? 1. The food tastes homemade, to the point where you will see the employees on break choosing to eat their own food. That is a good sign. 2. Bread specialty - the breads are made fresh by hand, the oven area is open for customers to see. Even garlic naan is included. 3. Amount of choices - so many curries, breads, desserts, sauces, salads, and more. Even many protein options. The fried chicken is even delicious af. 4. Service is warm and friendly, a family atmosphere. 5. Food is not too salty and difficult tummy approved. 6. They make their own ice creams. We have been coming to Kebab and Curry for many years. It is our go to for comfort food. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The owners take great pride in using their family recipes. They are always adding new dishes to the already ample buffet. For us, born and raised in the South, they have the best fried chicken around. Well... I was the only person there at 8:00 pm on a Wednesday night. The buffet had plenty of choices. The butter chicken was probably the dish I liked most but the goat Korma was interesting too. The garlic naan was a bit dry and overcooked but it had probably been sitting there for hours. The Kheer wasn't the best I've ever had but was okay. The cashier was nice. I was hopeful because the place was full on a Sunday afternoon, and we had the last table there. But the food left much to be desired--most of it tasted reheated or as if it originally came frozen. Eating out is a rarity for most people these days, because of budget restraints. I can't recommend that people spend their hard-earned money at a place that is the equivalent of shopping the frozen aisle and just warming it up at home. Three stars were for the mango lassi, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala, which were all decent and I would eat again. Guys, what are you doing? Seriously, get it together. I hate having to leave a bad review for 786. We've been coming for 6 years. The last time we came the food was really mediocre. Overcooked, dry, burnt, no gulab jamun, no halwa, no paneer, hard naan, etc. We've also been trying to get our friends to try them for years. So of course the first time we get our friends there, it was terrible. The four of us go to grab plates and immediately noticed they all felt really weird. They were HEAVILY coated in something. Maybe soap cooked on from the dishwasher? Whatever, mistakes happen. We tell the owner and his son. But instead of taking it seriously, he just tells us to get another one. We tell him they're all covered in it. So he says he'll bring us some clean plates. But... they leave the stack of dirty plates for everyone else. We tell him that's great, but he needs to deal with the rest. He gets aggressive and grumbles that they're taking care of it. Of course they didn't. We sat there and watched people get dirty plates for the next 15 straight minutes. Literally, 5 feet from the owner and his dad, neither of them caring. Every single person that grabbed a plate paused to look at the plate when they felt it. One girl stood there trying to scrub it off every time. By this point our friends had grabbed a to-go container, torn it in half and each were eating off of one of the halves. The next time they got up, our friends came back laughing. They'd overheard the dad and son bitching that they were using one. At this point, the son comes out with 5 plates and tells us how he specially cleaned them for us. BUT THEY WERE STILL CAKED with whatever was on the plates. At about 25 mins, they finally came out and took most of the big stack of plates back to the kitchen. Not caring that they left a bunch. With their attitude I wouldn't be surprised if they just pretended and brought them back out the next day, anyway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We usually deal with the owner's two sons. Unfortunately, this time the dad was there with the older brother. The sons are usually nice but I guess he was irritable with his dad around because he had a grumpy vibe. We didn't eat like our friends. We didn't want to deal with eating off a torn-off lid and wondered what the chaffing dishes looked like under the food. The dad and son spent half-an-hour screwing around with the POS unable to issue a refund and got pissy with me when I kept saying I didn't want cash. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let me ask you this... The four of us were spending $80 + tax. How short-sighted do you have to be to not care if customers are disgusted by dirty plates? Or bitch about a 25 cent styrofoam container? Me and girlfriend wanted to explore a new food today so we tried 786! Upon walking in the cashier was friendly. All you can eat $12 each. We sat at a table to serve ourselves buffet. The food was a solid 4. Very tasteful and yummy. The ambiance is a little run down and the Hispanic ladies be cookin up and spice up the air. My eyes were burning a little bit but nothing terrible. Great Indian buffet! We were greeted by the son of the owners, who was very friendly and always offered to help. Many of their customers are regulars and the business has been there for many years. You pay up front, and it was $15 per person which seemed reasonable. There were different curries, chicken, vegetable dishes. However, I do have to agree about the food being not all that great. Everything was kind of watered down tasting and just didn't taste like what I'm used to. Ordered a few items for quick grab & go. Didn't realize this place open for buffet dinner as well. Place is small. Has handful of tables along on side of the wall. You can smell the curries as you walked in. We ordered Chicken Samosa, Chicken Tikka Pizza, Beef Biryani, and Lamb Shees Kabob. Chicken Tikka Pizza is surprisingly very good. The dough consistency is more like thick naan rather than normal pizza dough. I'd come back just for this pizza. Chicken samosa is not to my liking, but my husband enjoyed it. It is filled with flavorful ground chicken. It was too salty for me and I guess I prefer my samosas filled with potatoes vs crumbly ground chicken. They didn't provide any sauces which contributed to me not liking it. Beef biryani is also not great. The rice is flavorless. read more

Love this all you can eat lunch buffet place! Super casual- about 7 booths in the restaurant- the guy who works the front is very nice and on top of drink refills. Large variety of food- salads, dressings, sauces, always a soup (usually chicken based), naan, 4-5 vegetarian dishes (veggie curry, spinach dish, mixed veggie rice, lentil dish and chick pea) and at least that many meat ones including butter chicken and tandoori chicken always. It's super affordable too- as I write this I think it's like $12 or $14 a person. They also always have two desserts- a cardamom rice pudding and a honey soaked fried dough- both are so yummy! 18 years in business this year!! My partner showed me this place two years ago, and it's become a place I recommend to people all the time. It's a small buffet, with just a few bars, but the selections taste amazing. Lots of vegetarian options as well. There is usually only two dessert options though, and it's on a rotation. We were really disappointed to find out that their dine-in service is only for the buffet (entrees and regular menu items are only available for calling in to-go orders.) We reluctantly stuck around and paid for the buffet, and while it seemed like they had very safe Covid procedures for the stations, I couldn't help but be concerned that there's a chance that an irresponsible customer didn't follow them. The GREAT: the young man who rang us up, brought our water, and bused our table was so so so very nice. I believe that he's the owner's son; I wish all the best for their family and its business. Also great - the lamb meatballs, butter chicken, and the fried vegetables. Not so great - another review or two mentioned watery sauce and I couldn't have agreed more. They should set out bowls so that you could put rice in the bottom and the dishes that were saucy poured on top. Not so great as well were that some of the buffet offerings just didn't taste fresh.
