Walked to 787 Coffee after lunch. Unique concept: open-air cafe. No line at the register, but service felt slow since there was only one barista. Took a few minutes of waiting before order was taken. Got a bag of roasted coffee beans. Mazapan latte was served in a bag! Good flavor but i don't really care for the texture of the coffee (candy/nuts??). I wanna sip on coffee without worrying about chewing lol. Open to trying their other drink options in the future.

Such a cool coffee spot with an awesome vibe! Perfect for studying, hanging out with friends, or just relaxing. There's parallel parking, and the swings out front make it even more fun. I tried the Dos Leches coffee, which is served in a bag, a really unique presentation! It wasn't too sweet, but it does have a noticeable hint of cinnamon. I'm not a big fan of cinnamon, so I'd give it a 3/5, but my friend really enjoyed it and rated it 4/5. The service was excellent--the employees were friendly, energetic, and super helpful.

Great spot! I was a bit confused on parking as it is next to a big parking lot but it says it is only for Gus's Fried Chicken. I easily found parking in the street behind the place. The barista was kind and explained the coffee beans there are hand picked from Puerto Rico, and they also have alcohol infused beans that do not contain the actual alcohol. I explained my preferences for a semi sweet iced latte and she recommended the iced horchata latte which was delicious! I really enjoyed it. The coffee was really strong as well. The place had free WiFi and there were a couple people working, but it wasn't overly crowded. The space was colorful and island vibes. Really made me feel back in San Juan. My fiance is also picky with coffee but liked the rest of the latte I brought home.

The vibe is cool the decor and setting overall is cool it was chill while I was here they just opened up so give them a chance . The prices I think are a little to much a Mazzapan Latte $9 if you add the rum infused it'll be $11 and the chicken empanada is cool but small and not worth $6 . If you're a coffee lover this place is themed like Puerto Rico and the coffee style is like Puerto Rican style if that makes sense on here . The latte I got wasn't to sweet it was good the empanada cool but wouldn't get again to small for the price . Overall over priced good coffee cool vibe worth a visit . Service was quick it was empty when I got here . Receipt attached .

I read this location just opened; and I had on good authority (elite yelper told me) that this is a must-visit for coffee. I love coffee; so I'm here. The space is unique, love the pulled garage door entry, the decor and the little outdoor spaces with tables for perching. F-bombs are flying freely here, in case you're interested in that. It's very quiet this Sunday morning- no ambient music. Just drilling behind the counter. Service was perfect: I told her it was my first time and she succinctly told me about the offerings the they source from their own farm in PR. Price point is high: my coquito cappuccino with oat milk was 8oz and 10$. They didn't have almond milk- only cow and soy. I'll be back, as I'm thinking some kinks (silence, less alt mylk options) are prob being worked while they're establishing themselves. Cheers to 787 in the meantime. Two word review: good beans

The barista here was super sweet- took her time explaining each drink and very welcoming. The coffee itself was super good too i even asked for my own personal tweaks and she happily did- and even gave my friend samples of other flavors she didn't quite know what to choose from- and the shop itself is super cute.

Shout out to Adrian at 787 coffee on Washington for excellent customer service and dope coffee advice. I have the Coquito with oat milk iced and a quesito. Highly recommend this spot for my caffeinated humans of HOUSTON.

We are from PR and actually just got back from there and the quesito from 787 hands down beat the ones from the island.

THIS IS THE BEST CORTADO I'VE EVER HAD…read more Day 6 has been on my list for quite some. Upon arrival, I was met with excellent music and a warm greeting. Once I reached the counter, the gentleman helped me with selecting a coffee and even answered a few clarifying questions I had about ingredients. I got 2 cortados (I drank the first one so fast that I needed another one), a vanilla latte (sweet but balanced), and two croissants (almond and chocolate). My friends got a cheesecake latte (cupcake dominant and didn't have enough cookie butter flavoring), a white mocha hot chocolate (pretty good), and a blueberry muffin (amazingly soft, flavorful, and balanced). All together, I'll be coming back much more often!!!

I really wanted to give this place 5 out of 5 stars, but here's my honest experience…read more The service was excellent, everyone was friendly and welcoming, so that's an easy 5/5. I also tried one of their muffins, and it was absolutely delicious. Another 5/5! The only thing that disappointed me was the coffee. I asked the barista for a recommendation and specifically mentioned that I wanted a coffee that wasn't too sweet. She recommended a drink, and I trusted her suggestion. Unfortunately, when I tried it, it was much sweeter than I was expecting. I understand recommendations are subjective, so I don't blame anyone,it just wasn't what I was looking for. Because of that, I'd give the coffee 1/5. It simply wasn't to my taste. Overall, the great service and delicious muffin were definite highlights, but the coffee experience brought my overall rating down to 3/5.

A couple of friends and I wandered in early on a Sunday for breakfast/brunch. I ordered the scrambled‑egg and turkey‑bacon tacos with a flat white, one friend had the chilaquiles (he thought they could've used a bit more flavor and some avocado), and my other friend went for the French toast with an iced coffee. We had a great conversation over a delicious meal and solid coffee, and the steady stream of adorable dogs around us was the perfect bonus. I'd read some reviews complaining about the service, but ours was totally fine--especially for an early Sunday morning. It probably helps to be patient if they're short‑staffed, but we had no issues at all.

The avocado toast was good, they used fresh avocado. The toast was very crispy because of the type of bread but I enjoyed it. They also have yummy fresh pressed juice. Anyway, I finally got a chance to stop by on a Sunday late morning recently. Parking can be difficult, but there are dedicated Koffeteria spots in front of the business as well as surrounding paid curbside parking. I believe Instagram helped many others discover this business recently, as it was pretty packed and there was a line, but this gave us ample opportunity to peruse the menu and pastry display. Ultimately, we opted for the: Cambodian iced coffee (kayfe dahkoh) made with sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk - tasted very similar but weaker than Vietnamese coffee. As I'm Viet and have never had Cambodian coffee, this was my only frame of reference, and I didn't love it. I'm excited to try more Cambodian coffees to get a better understanding of their unique flavor profile! Black sesame mochi - sweet and perfectly sesame flavored with salted yolk at the bottom, delicious, my partner's favorite pastry Beef pho kolache - the bun was so soft and complemented the soft but flavorful brisket meat. wow. truly a brisket pho in a kolache. We got extremely lucky and got a table almost immediately after ordering, as someone left just in time. The interior is full of vintage furniture, which added so much character. As a vintage lover, I felt so at home! I could see how others might prefer a more neat, chic interior, but to me this was absolutely perfect and added so much warmth, homeliness, and character to the shop. Absolutely love this coffee shop and will 100% be back to try more pastries and coffees. Immediately, this has become a new Houston favorite!
