Coffee here is no frills caffeine. Small menu. Line starts at the back door and there's small parking lots at the back as well. I like getting iced coffees here. Their syrups are made in house which is very cool (I've tried the vanilla). I come Sunday mornings right at opening. Cons: no wifi here, seating is a little cramped.

Hi stumbled upon this place looking for spot to work. Parking is limited directly behind the coffee shop however there is a larger parking lot across the street. I really like the seating there. It was simple and surprisingly comfortable. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and worked for a couple of hours. Coffee is good. Staff was courteous and the vibe appeared to be come and go. The music was very loud so it would be hard to have a convo inside. I think since my brain is so busy already I was able to work through it but at one point I did get frustrated when I tried to make a call. No outlets, so bring laptop that is charged. Nevertheless if I'm in the area again perhaps I will come again. Happy Yelping!

Catalina Coffee is a true staple in the Houston coffee scene. The service is always kind and efficient, and the vibe is exactly what you'd want from a classic coffee house--warm, unfussy, and welcoming. I stopped in today for an iced flat white and a ginger molasses cookie, both of which hit the spot. They serve all the café standards and do them well, and the walls are always lined with local event flyers and small biz shoutouts--today I caught one for sourdough at Henderson & Kane (would've grabbed a loaf if I weren't baking my own!). It's also super convenient--right next to Cutthroat Barbershop, which makes it my go-to stop after a haircut. Whether you're walking from nearby Washington Ave apartments or just passing through, Catalina is the kind of neighborhood café you can always count on.

This is my FAVORITE coffee shop. I've been coming to Catalina for years and they never disappoint. They have fantastic quality beans and the pastries are delicious. I also notice that they are still a little bit affordable compared to the other Houston coffee shops which always a plus. The staff is also super kind! The ambiance is very industrial rustic. It's very cute. Love coming here!

Catalina has been a staple coffee shop in Houston for years. I remember when I used to visit them back when I was in middle school, and I finally visited them again a decade later as a college graduate. It still has that cozy and casual interior with artistic works on the wall, which are available for sale. I got a hot fall spiced latte. The latte has a creamy texture with lots of froth, which I personally really like, and the latte was reasonably priced. Seating can be limited, as the space is quite small. There is parking in the back, but it is shared with a business and can get full. There was also a line, and the wait can take some time. Overall, Catalina Coffee has a vibrant but laid-back atmosphere and emphasizes on no-frills coffee, focusing on the basics, essentials, and consistency.

I've been coming to Catalina Coffee for years and I love this place! Located near buffalo bayou park offering delicious coffee and a cold brew that is made very specific and a process you can see behind the counter. Their coffee beans have a great flavor even without any sugar added! My go to anywhere is a Honey & Cinnamon iced latte which is what I always order when I stop by. Interior is not too small or too big it's calm enough to study. They have outdoor seating and good parking behind the shop. The service is always friendly and helpful if you have any questions. If your out for a run or a walk near Buffalo Bayou park stop by this coffee shop you won't be disappointed 10/10

Cute cafe with good coffee! There isn't any WiFi but a good amount of tables to sit at to chat or do work. There's a bit of parking at the back which is good as people seem to come in and out. Staff is super friendly! Would definitely come back to try more.

PSA- NO WIFI, NO OUTLETS. The coffee is delicious! They seem to have a great atmosphere between customers and baristas, lots of regulars. I had a cafe con leche- classique. Can't wait to try other options! The pastries looked delicious but didn't try any.

Friendly service, a really welcoming atmosphere. Didn't have time to try more than an espresso here, but enjoyed the moment... as did the regulars who are recognized.

Once I reached the counter, the gentleman helped me with selecting a coffee and even answered a few clarifying questions I had about ingredients. I got 2 cortados (I drank the first one so fast that I needed another one), a vanilla latte (sweet but balanced), and two croissants (almond and chocolate). My friends got a cheesecake latte (cupcake dominant and didn't have enough cookie butter flavoring), a white mocha hot chocolate (pretty good), and a blueberry muffin (amazingly soft, flavorful, and balanced). All together, I'll be coming back much more often!!!

I also tried one of their muffins, and it was absolutely delicious. Another 5/5! The only thing that disappointed me was the coffee. I asked the barista for a recommendation and specifically mentioned that I wanted a coffee that wasn't too sweet. She recommended a drink, and I trusted her suggestion. Unfortunately, when I tried it, it was much sweeter than I was expecting. I understand recommendations are subjective, so I don't blame anyone,it just wasn't what I was looking for. Because of that, I'd give the coffee 1/5. It simply wasn't to my taste. Overall, the great service and delicious muffin were definite highlights, but the coffee experience brought my overall rating down to 3/5.

A couple of friends and I wandered in early on a Sunday for breakfast/brunch. I ordered the scrambled‑egg and turkey‑bacon tacos with a flat white, one friend had the chilaquiles (he thought they could've used a bit more flavor and some avocado), and my other friend went for the French toast with an iced coffee. We had a great conversation over a delicious meal and solid coffee, and the steady stream of adorable dogs around us was the perfect bonus. I'd read some reviews complaining about the service, but ours was totally fine--especially for an early Sunday morning. It probably helps to be patient if they're short‑staffed, but we had no issues at all.

Anyway, I finally got a chance to stop by on a Sunday late morning recently. Parking can be difficult, but there are dedicated Koffeteria spots in front of the business as well as surrounding paid curbside parking. I believe Instagram helped many others discover this business recently, as it was pretty packed and there was a line, but this gave us ample opportunity to peruse the menu and pastry display. Ultimately, we opted for the: Cambodian iced coffee (kayfe dahkoh) made with sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk - tasted very similar but weaker than Vietnamese coffee. As I'm Viet and have never had Cambodian coffee, this was my only frame of reference, and I didn't love it. I'm excited to try more Cambodian coffees to get a better understanding of their unique flavor profile! Black sesame mochi - sweet and perfectly sesame flavored with salted yolk at the bottom, delicious, my partner's favorite pastry Beef pho kolache - the bun was so soft and complemented the soft but flavorful brisket meat. wow. truly a brisket pho in a kolache. As a vintage lover, I felt so at home!
