If you're looking for an authentic coffee shop without roasters interfering, this is your spot! They have several different types of drinks. You can even add alcohol which kinda caught me off guard. I've never seen that. I came a little late so my only option was cold brew. The barista quickly reviewed the normal menu and then helped me decide which cold brew to try. I walked around the cafe while I waited. Cute little swings and places to sit. There was a table in the back. Great for coworking or meeting up with people. This small shop felt very communal. Can't wait to go back! Can't wait to order a bag online.

Cute little place, went in the morning around 8am and the coffee shop was quiet and calm. Baristas were super friendly and explained the coffee to me. Local-inspired flavors for coffee, such as dulce de leche (sweet and delicious), mazapan, tres leches. Different options of local beans to choose from as well- I suggest the rum infused espresso. A bit steep in price for what I'd like to pay for a coffee, but it was delicious. Would come again.

Dare I say this is the best Chai I've ever had??? This place is insane. The flavor combinations they have for coffee are unreal. Horchata, dulce de leche, coquito, tres leches... the list goes on. And you can do it for coffee, chai, anything! They also have rum infused essence to make your drink taste like there's actual rum inside which is awesome for so many reasons. All of the baristas were super super kind. Inside was adorable as you can see in my picture, with the addition of swings next to the windows and little egg chairs. My ONLY complaint is how long it takes. We waited 25 minutes to order despite us being 3rd in line and an hour and 20 minutes for our coffee. That's unreasonable, yes. However, I mean it when I say that it was so good that you have to make time for it at least once! Love this place so much!

This spot was across the street from my hotel while i was in puerto rico so it made for easy access to coffee. It was really good, i loved all the unique flavors and for the late night coffee runs adding some rum was questionable at first but dont knock it till you try it!! it was absolutely delicious. my friend and i came here almost everyday of our one week stay. it was usually the same guy by himself working, he was always so nice and made conversation with us while we waited for our drinks to be made. 10/10 recommend trying it at least once . the inside is also decorated so beautifully just right for the gram , facebook or whatever social media platform you like to flaunt on :) till next time PR!!

Needed some Cafe con leche .. this was the spot. Very adorable down low relaxed vibe. Couples in the corner playing uno cards. Music is layer back kinda chill. The intoxicating aroma of Puerto Rican local grown coffee in the air. This was the spot. Picked up a small cafe con leche and a small hot Chocalate. Please try the amazing huge chocolate chip warm cookie. Buen provecho

Excellent Local Coffee Shop--787 (PR Zip code) My travel companion is an advocate for local roasters and coffee shop owners. We opened the Yelp app, which helped us find this unique authentic locally sourced (on their farm) coffee shop in San Juan. They also have other locations throughout Puerto Rico and a few locations in New York. We loved their coffee, we visited a few time durning our trip. They had local flavor inspired drinks, like coquito lattes. We also were able to book a visit to their coffee farm in the outskirts of Puerto Rico (transportation not included) to see where the coffee magic happens. The coffee house/shop we frequented in San Juan, had swings, colorful murals and a relaxed and fun atmosphere, so full marks on a beautiful tropical island environment for obtaining a great cup of coffee. Yasss, you should visit, more than once, if you get the chance!!

Very cute and delicious spot! Has a good amount of drink options! The coffee is amazing and the baristas are helpful if you have any questions about the coffee beans!

Andrea was super sweet, great customer service & extremely helpful! She recommended the horchata iced coffee with vanilla and it was BOMB. When visiting PR it is a definitely must!

The coffee here is local (hence the name because 787 is the PR area code) and delicious. They have different alcohol infused coffee beans, like rum and whiskey--but the coffees do not contain alcohol. They of course have alternatives milks too! It's easy to navigate to and located on a corner. They don't have a parking lot but it was easy to find street parking. Service was great and the ambience was very green and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place.

This coffee is pricey but it was delicious. I'm not typically a coffee drinker because it makes me jittery. But this was smooth and creamy. I got the Coquito with the rum infused beans. My friend got the Horchata with the whiskey infused beans. The place is small and cozy. The server was very friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the Houston location.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gabe and Emily today at 787 - besides making some of the best coffee I've ever had, they were so sweet and welcoming! Will definitely miss grabbing the tres leches (my fav!) an the coquito latte on my way to the beach every morning. Highly recommend stopping by!

They had me at Coquito Latte! It was Christmas morning and I wanted coffee and a pastry. I decided to take a stroll to 787. Wonderful staff! I was greeted the second I entered. Yayo and Yaide were the baristas that day and they were so friendly and informative. I ordered 2 chicken empanadas and the Coquito latte. I waited about 10 minutes because they just started making a new batch of empanadas and it was worth the wait! They were hot, fresh and delicious. I also got the chocolate chip cookie to snack on during my stroll back and I wish I got two! This café has a fun selection of coffee and plenty of other merchandise of Puerto Rican businesses. This is clean, amicable spot is a must when you are in Puerto Rico.

I had the absolute worst experience here I will never return even if the coffee was free. I seen this place all over Tik Tok so I wanted to try it, terrible mistake. I waited almost 2 hours for my coffee this place is so disorganized and they keep taking orders knowing they have 100 other orders they need to fulfill. I asked 3 different times for my order and the last girl gave me an attitude saying she will get to it (at this point I already waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes. A family of 15 came an hour after my group did and they received their order before my group of 6. They literally confuse the plastic bags your coffee goes into so the earlier you order your bag ends up at the bottom while the newer orders get made first. They kept telling me my order was next multiple times and yet still took that long to finally get it. The coffee itself wasn't even that good for that long of a wait. This place was terrible 0/10 and they dont even serve food so I would try out a better local spot instead of this cash grab of a place.

Grabbed an iced latte and an iced tea to go: the latte was smooth and well-balanced, not over-roasted like a lot of tourist-zone coffee shops nearby, and the iced tea was refreshing after walking the cobblestone streets. The menu keeps it simple -- espresso drinks, paninis (Cuatro Sombras, Yauco, Viejo San Juan), open toast with avocado & egg or salmon, and a solid breakfast lineup with guava butter toast and dulce de papaya oatmeal that lean into the Puerto Rican flavor profile. Loved seeing local sodas and juices in the fridge case alongside the usual water and La Croix. Staff moved efficiently even with a small crowd at the counter. Good spot to duck into for a quality coffee break in Old San Juan -- feels like a real local roaster rather than a chain, and the space itself is worth a look even if you're just passing through.

My sister got their iced mocha. She likes her coffee sweeter than I do but she still really liked her drink too. The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because all the tables were a bit dirty. Oh boy... this was a 10/10!…read more After spending a long, hot day exploring Old San Juan with the kids, we stopped by Cortés ChocoBar in Condado for something cold, and it was exactly what we needed. We ordered three of their frozen chocolate drinks, and every single one was absolutely delicious. Thankfully, it wasn't busy when we stopped by, so it was the perfect place to cool off and take a break from the heat. The café had a modern, inviting atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I asked if one of the frozen drinks could be split for the kids, and although they didn't split it for us, they happily gave us two extra cups so we could divide it ourselves. It was a simple gesture that we really appreciated. The frozen chocolate drink was rich, creamy, refreshing, and perfectly chocolatey without being overly sweet. Even the whipped cream was delicious, especially with the chocolate pieces on top. Everyone in our group loved it, and it quickly became our favorite sweet treat of the trip. Whenever we're craving something cold and chocolatey during our stay in Puerto Rico, this will definitely be our go-to spot. We can't wait to come back and try their bonbons before we head home!

I've bought them at the grocery store for my mother over the years when I couldn't find Menier. I was hoping to see some unique desserts at Chocobar Cortés. Let's just say that the chocobar at this location was not what I was expecting. It's like an express version of their original one in Old San Juan. This is located in the lobby of the Condado Palm Hotel. There are 2 entrances. Don't make the same mistake we did by trying to access at street level. That door is locked. You'll need to enter through the hotel lobby. The service is very slow here. There was only one other person there. We ordered a box of 6 chocolates and payed for it. I'm guessing he was making a drink for the other guest because he asked us to wait a few minutes. It ended up being longer so he told his colleague (who just came back from a break) to make up the chocolate box for us. Unfortunately, it took even longer as this other guy was more interested in the 2 young girls who just walked in. The chocolate bonbons were good, but nothing unique. It's the same artisan chocolates that you see everywhere for the same high price. Perhaps this location is better for their specialty cocktails in the evening time. I was looking forward to trying the choco-latte at some point. I doubt there will be a next time.
