We stayed at El Caribe and this was a very short walk from the hotel. I preferred their cold brew over the Starbucks in the hotel lobby. The interior was very hipster/street styled. Randomly, they have color printer, if you need to print something during your vacation. Their big schtick is alcohol infused beans. Seems like an overpriced gimmick and after smelling the sample beans at the counter, was unconvinced that this was worth the extra money. I went twice and the cold brew was made with different beans each time, which was nice. Both were good and costed roughly $5. My wife wasn't a huge fan of the coquito drink, but I thought it was pretty good, as far as flavored coffee goes. The coffee is served in bags, which seems like a complete waste of plastic in a region that doesn't seem to recycle anything already. We purchased some of the baked items too -- a cream cheese filled croissant roll (pretty good), coffee cake for the wife (a little dry, but ok), and cookies for the kids (average). They sold bagged coffee beans and apparel, but there were no price tags on anything nor signage listing prices -- a massive red flag! Turns out, their 8oz bags were $30 and even more for the alcohol infused beans. I'm a massive coffee snob and there was no justification why locally roasted beans cost so much. Prices on the website were even higher! Ultimately, I bought two bags of locally roasted beans at Gustos for $14 and $15, respectively, for the same 8oz bag. Overall, this is a great place if you stick to the cold brew or basic lattes. Their locally roasted coffee beans were crazy expensive and the food items we tried were fine but not great.
I don't really understand all the high reviews. This is a tourist trap because it sells coffee that is hidden by a bunch of syrups and other flavors. It's also incredibly expensive for what it is. I would rather go to Gustos for coffee. The coffee is weirdly thick due to the syrups that they use, but it really isn't too sweet so it just comes out confusing. Service is standard and there's plenty of seating so it's a good place to do work if you're around the area. However, I don't care for their drink drinks. They do sell coffee beans at a high price!
This place is a tourist trap. We ended up paying about $50 usd for 2 "rum" infused lattes, two chicken empanadas and a sticker. It's a local coffee chain with shops around the San Juan. The coffee and empanadas both were below average. And the entire "rum" infused coffee seems like a gimmick. You are better off going to Starbucks!
Very welcoming environment and very pleasant experience. Part of their welcoming script is actually them upselling you. My coffee I expected to pay a few bucks for, quickly went up in price with all the add-ons they recommended. Everything was delicious, items but can become a bit pricey for a coffee and a dessert.
The line was long and slow moving but it was the guys first day, so we gave him grace. The vibe is cool--I almost bought the $8 sticker for my water bottle. Almost. The empanadas (chicken) were hot and stuffed with chicken. A lot of chicken. Delicious. My iced latte (tres leche flavor) was yum. My husband had the Dulce de leche flavor (hot) and he liked his too. It was close to the hotel and I'd go back.
Cute coffee shop with a chill vibe. The service was slow for a Sunday morning. I waited 20 mins for two latte's. I had their rum coffee beans with coquito flavored syrup. It was tasty however it was served luke warm. I also had a chicken empanada which was just okay. A little more tlc and this place would be great.
So 787 definitely worth it and if you see the line just wait you won't be disappointed. It is Liqour infused for taste there is no alcohol actually in the coffee so you're not going to get tipsy. lol but the taste is amazing . The service even better. Kimberly was so friendly and knowledgeable. Just try it!!!!!

On my last day in San Juan, I finally had a flavorful chai. I had the iced horchata chai with almond milk -- It was sooo good! And the nostalgic drink pouch was such a cute touch. The banana bread was also delicious. 787 Coffee is a really cute coffee shop, perfect for remote work or waiting out the rain in my case. read more

Very disappointing first stop in Puerto Rico. We got 2 coffees to try: Mazapan and Dulce de Leche. Neither one of them tasted like their name and neither was enjoyable to drink. Pricey coffee with no flavor. The only saving grace of this place was the freshly made banana bread. read more

I really expected this place to be way better. I was not impressed for the cost of the coffee and the customer service was not any better. I love coffee and really wanted to like this place especially with the plastic pouches they came in. read more

This is a very small coffee shop however, the line was out the door! They have the most delicious coffee and instead of it being in a cup they are in a bag, which makes it very cool! I also got a gluten-free snack, which was delicious! read more

How I MISS this Cafecito. Wish we had this coffee back home in Cali. I tried many different drinks and I must say my favorite was the Mazapan flavor. However, all of the drinks from coffee and teas were all great! They also offer pastries. read more

Hear me out, this place is WORTH the visit! It's a must try! Can I confuse that I officially have a deep love for Puerto Rican coffee?! The richness of their blends leave a lasting impression on your taste buds. And the icing on the cake is that this place captured just that. Staff: very dope team and they were beyond friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: can we take a minute to appreciate a coffee shop with personality? Each corner of the store shined bright with personality and beautiful artwork. Food: we ordered a rum cake to go and I have to boast about it. This cake was SO moist. And yes, you could taste the rum in each bite but it was just what you needed for the coffee. Drink: I ordered their famous Coquito Latte and paired mines with oat milk. This drink didn't stand a chance lol I started drinking it on the walk back to the hotel and continued drinking it as I laid on the beach. It was divine! A flavor you love, Coquito, paired with your other love...coffee! The union was beautiful! Amazing drink. Let's just say that we loved this place so much that we decided to try their hot coffee on our last day of the trip. It was good to the last drop! I would definitely return and highly recommend this coffee shop to all visitors. They get a solid 10 from me. read more
OMG the rum flavored coffee was absolutely delicious! I had it a few times just as an espresso shot. Smooth and well balanced with a hint of spice. The staff is very nice and also will inform if you have any questions. Didn't try their snacks so not much to report Love their marketing and feels good to support local! read more
It's a charming little shop with the best latte I had in Puerto Rico! We stayed at a nearby hotel, and every morning, there was a long line. On our last day, I finally decided to wait--and it was absolutely worth it. Compared to NYC, the pace is a bit slower, and when I visited, only two guys were working, so the line built up quickly. But whatever they did to the coffee was pure magic--rich, deeply roasted, and bursting with incredible aroma. read more

What a happy accident finding this absolutely adorable coffee shop. The coffee was heaven and the Barista's were the sweetest. We talked coffee and laughed at jokes. The Cortado was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had the privilege of drinking. My only regret is I didn't find them on my first day of vacation. How do I fit them in my suitcas? read more

Absolutely loved this coffee shop. It was definitely a vibe and felt a little more personalized rather than touristy. We ordered the Dulce de Leche, Tres Leche and Coquito lattes and a Cortado. All were so good and Tres Leche was definitely the winner. I'm not sure if he was just a worker or the owner but he was so friendly and kind, just awesome service. He recommended us an event to go to but we weren't able to attend since we were with our parents and weren't staying the area. But we loved it and I even took some beans back with me to SD. A relaxing coffee shop with classic options, specialty latte, and infused option. There are a few tables indoor, printer, small bites, and take out can options. Recommend trying rum infused and mezcal can to-go. read more

Went in on Wednesday morning for our first morning in the area and was met by the very sweet Emily and Gabriel. The lattes were incredible - we got a Coquito & Horchata latte with rum infused beans. Both really highlighted the flavors of the coffee & the Coquito & horchata without just tasting like sweet Starbucks flavors. We also got a chicken empanada and a quesito - both were so delicious we went back for another of each! Wonderful experience, incredibly kind service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. It's been an easy choice to keep coming back! read more

I heard this was a place you must try in San Juan and it ranks among one of the best coffee shops in Puerto Rico . I heard raves reviews about the whiskey infused beans so I had to try it . Whiskey and coffee sign me up . When I walked in the shop wasn't busy . The cashier was very friendly and she answered any questions I had . I went with the recommended whiskey infused iced latte and it was really delicious . You can definitely taste the whiskey flavor in it . Overall the coffee was really good . I also orders a blueberry loaf as well which looked super scrumptious . I can't wait to dig into that . read more
Giving a 5/5 since the coffee was outstanding. I tried the rum infused pour over. My boyfriend got a flat white. They were perfect and delicious. Service was 5/5 although she was the only one working, so it took awhile. Owners should have two people working on a Saturday morning during holiday season. I still dream about this vanilla cold brew. It was simply amazing. The place was so nice and welcoming. Our barista was also incredibly kind. My partner tried the basic drip coffee which he felt was alright. I highly recommend the vanilla cold brew read more
May seem like a cool place. And yes if looks could kill... but I have to agree with another poster, stopped in for a cafe americano and was given a charge of $8 for a simple coffee... I said uh no, cancelled it and walked out. Way Wayne overpriced where two inviting places places nearby charged $3 for same thing. read more
