Got a quick breakfast to go and it did not disappoint! There's plenty of specialty drinks - like the Kyoto Palmer which was refreshingly tart and sweet. The Boricua Breakfast Sandwich was an umami delight - the guava butter really elevated the sandwich.
I tried Barista Squared in Condado & ordered the pancakes & they definitely hit the spot. They were fresh, fluffy, & had that homemade breakfast feel. They were paired with bananas, blueberries & whipped cream. They offered syrup & Nutella to spread on the pancakes as well. The café has a relaxed vibe, which made the experience even better. The music matched the vibe too. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in Condado and looking for a good breakfast or brunch option.
Perfect stop for coffee and lunch! Highly recommend Barista Squared! The interior is very nice and there's a good amount of tables available. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient! I ordered a matcha and the Pesto Grilled Cheese. The matcha was perfect and the sandwich was delicious! The bread was delicious and I loved the amount of pesto they put. Highly recommend!
Yummy food and good service. The breakfast is phenomenal and the coffee is even better. A cute atmosphere and indoor/outdoor seating.
my favorite latte i got while in san juan - i had the raspberry truffle! It was sweet while not overpowering the coffee flavor, and i tasted both the white chocolate and raspberry! Service was super friendly, i will say it was a bit crowded so slow to get drinks. Ambiance is modern and casual.
Barista Squared is a great place to get coffee in Condado. We got takeout and it was still good by the time we got back to the hotel. I ordered an iced caramel latte with oat milk and their chicken pesto sandwich. The latte was good. The chicken pesto sandwich was delicious. It's very generously sized and fresh, plus it comes with chips. I was starving and couldn't finish it all. My boyfriend enjoyed his latte and sandwich order as well. This café is definitely on my return list.

I also had an iced vanilla latte. Everything was very good! My latte was perfect! I plan on returning during my stay.
This little coffee shop is a must try! I did the classic breakfast - the "toast" is a variety of bread options. I went with the croissant which they sliced, buttered, and toasted. There is a lot of seating with cute artwork outside, and the service was quick. Would absolutely return!

On my recent trip to San Juan, I decided to venture out into the wild for a cup of coffee that wasn't Starbucks in the hotel lobby. A short 10-15 walk away, I found this hidden gem, Barista Squared. The vibe here is very cozy and chill. Small tables line the outside of the space and there are a couple outside tables as well. The staff was very friendly and I got my drink order pretty quickly. My only complaint, as others have mentioned, is the small quantity of tables often leads to a hard time finding a place to sit. I originally had to sit outside in the heat until an inside table opened up. My 10oz latte ran about $5.09 I think to give an idea of price, but that's to be expected with the cute little design they make on top!
This place is in a great location! We stopped in looking for a pick-me-up, and the barista who helped us gave some excellent coffee recommendations, such as the rasberry iced coffee my partner got. It's a cute, welcoming and open shop that allows people to work and eat. I ended up getting the Boricua breakfast sandwich--it was flavorful and filling.
I've been here several times and the food, service, and ambiance is AMAZING!!! They have the best avocado toast and strawberry macha I have ever had!

Wanted to try a local coffee spot. This place was right around the corner from our hotel. Service was quick. The cuteness behind the counter was friendly and answered my questions. Ordered a chaga matcha. It was super sweet for me. Tuna sandwich was yummy though. Came with chips and water bottle. read more
Cute shop! Great service and lots of drink, food and pastry options. The default espresso roast is more medium and nutty, not dark. Still tasty if you enjoy medium. There are also a good amount of seats and tables to sit and/or work. Definitely worth a stop in! read more

The workers were so helpful + kind! The cafe is small but very cute and cozy. perfect for getting work done or catching up with a friend. the avocado toast was AMAZING! added egg and you just can't go wrong -- so yummy. Found this gem on Yelp. Quaint little coffee shop with delicious fresh cooked breakfast. Kind enough to make my wife a gluten free meal not listed on menu. There's not a lot of seating, but tables turnover quickly. Get a Bonbon and a Mallorca! They're amazing! read more

Gerald, Monica, and Zoe are cheerful, hospitable and happy souls - we were so grateful to have breakfast here with our Coco Locos and we even got to meet a local amigo who made recommendations of activities nearby. The house salad sans dressing, sub eggs for protein was exactly what we needed to get our protein and greens. The fruit bowl with granola was a perfect option for 'cereal' when we added almond milk. Mallorca bread was recommended by Gerald and it most definitely did not disappoint. Chagacchino (mushroom, espresso, almond milk, cacao, vanilla and monkfruit) - YESSSS! And the ecosystem was cool to see too. Come to this place for a local happy vibe, you won't regret it. read more

YO! THERE'S OUTRAGEOUS FRENCH PASTRIES HERE! THAT, (and their coffee) is a reason to come in. BIG SURPRISE TO ME:,(IT'S NOT JUST A COMPUTER WORKSPACE!!! Baby, the owners of this place need to tell those people to step aside after one cup of coffee and keep it moving because people need to come here to eat!!! Here's the scoop. Cute place. GREAT vibes. Great (super good!) staff The secret STAR OF THE SHOW are the LOCALLY MADE PASTRIES TH AT ARE EQUIVALENT TO WHAT YOU'D FIND IN NEW YORK'S FINEST PATISSERIE'S! Go ahead, eat vegan all week but then allow yourself to dive into their top notch Almond Croissant. Glazed Donut-like things too (sorry I forgot the name but they look outrageous even though they are wrapped 1 billion times in cellophane to keep them super fresh) , all made locally by an extremely talented neighborhood pastry chef. These elegant pastries are no joke!!! I'm not a fan of their .75 cent "up charge" for Almond Milk (Almendra) or Oat (Avena) Milk because, let's be honest, their prices are already high enough for a regular cup of coffee . Let's be honest. This is place lovely and bright, beautifully designed, the staff are CERTAINLY welcoming, the amount of people who come here and order a coffee and then SIT HERE ALL DAY in their computers does ZERO in helping BARISTA SIEMPRE consistently offer seats to their customers who come for breakfast or lunch. Please take control of this, dear management. . If they tweaked their menu to use more local ingredients that are specific the Caribbean (like Guava Jelly & Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Manchego Cheese Sandwiches served on Mallorca Bread) then their menu wouid match the Caribbean particularly if they used ingredients here that aren't found to commonly elsewhere. Don't Just sell people on the deliciousness of your coffee, sell people on Puerto Rico itself!!! I'll be back, I spoke extensively to a couple of the staff members, and I really hope that they know that I come with an intention of love, not only further super little spot, but for the island itself. read more

I stopped here for coffee almost every day during my visit to San Juan! One day the delicious food tempted me so much I caved and ordered the frittata. It was delicious! This spot is a great place to grab a coffee, meet with friends, or just sit and work. The best part- hardly have to wait for your order to come out! read more

I always say this, but it's worth saying again. Find the local coffee shops when you're traveling. So there's a questionable unreliable coffeeshop in the Marriot... and a Starbucks across the street... but this joint is just down the road. It's across the street from the La Concha Hotel. I had both a Cortado and an Iced Latte. Both very good but the winner was the Cortado... the brownie was tasty as well. The place seems to be frequented almost entirely by locals and this is a great sign. This said the staff were warm and friendly. So skip the hotel and chain coffee and find a local joint like Barista Squared. read more

Love the feel! Super nice and open right when you come in. Lots of tropical plants for esthetics and I love it. The staff is super kind and with the location being in the middle of Condado, it's walkable. My partner got the Bon Bon Latte, and it's delicious! Even me, who don't usually like coffee, it's fantastic! It's well balanced, a bit chocolatety, a bit sweet and a hint of coffee that isn't overpowering. I got the iced matcha latte. It is a bit more bitter with pretty strong Matcha, but I like that. Definitely stop by if you're ever in San Juan read more
