Thursday, May 22, 2025 Happy Memorial Day Weekend from 7950 W. Sunset! 1-2 times per year this "luxurious" building pushes grease out into the parking garage where tenants park and load/ unload their groceries/ belongings/ children/ pets. Apparently, this building is unable to clean up after its "grease trap" cleaning mess and so we, the paying residents, are left to drive through, park near and endure with all of our senses the disgust of this sewage SLUDGE. This is 1 of many complaints that I could make here, but it definitely supersedes them all. ----- Wednesday, May 28, 2025 It is Day 6 and the sewage "grease" pond is still floating near renter parking spots in the Level P3-East side of the resident garage. At this point, the slime has been driven through for days now by people coming and going and it has been tracked across the garage where people enter/ exit their cars and stand to catch the elevator to go "home" to their rented apartments. I have lived in 6 major U.S. cities over the last 20 years and have never seen/ smelled this kind of filth. I wonder if/ when the management here might have this fully and professionally cleaned up... ? ----- Friday, May 30, 2025 The sewage mess is still here and now it's all spread out due to cars driving back and forth through it. I cannot get from my car to the elevator without walking through where car tires have tracked the mess across the garage. The manager emailed me back 1 week after my complaint and said he would "try" to have it cleaned up. They haven't done 1 thing to remove this mess since it began, 9 days ago. Now it's Pride Weekend... Happy PRIDE! ----- Wednesday, June 4, 2025 Finally, 13 days after this huge sewage grease mess in the residential parking garage began, the manager has had the maintenance team here unclog the drain. Unfortunately, the management here at 7950 W. Sunset or owner of the building, Bit Holdings Seventy-Two, Inc., does not seem to care that a huge mess is still left behind. The now dried up sewage grease debris is spread across a large section of the Level P3-East side of the residential parking garage, still being tracked through by any cars that go that way. Paying residents who park next to the said site are having to walk through it coming and going from the elevator to their parking space/ vehicle- back and forth. Parking here is assigned and very limited, so it's not like those impacted by this unsanitary mess can just suddenly park somewhere else. What a disaster this building is at proper repairs or planning for any maintenance that may require them to clean up after. Someone told me that posting on Yelp would help to get the mess cleaned up because the building surely cares about their reviews, but maybe not, since the mess has only been drained and the dried grease debris still remains for paying residents to walk through. ----- Friday, June 13, 2025 The grease trap cleaning was May 22, and the mess from it still remains all over the concrete around my car and where I have to walk to get to and from my car and the elevator to get to my unit from my assigned parking space. I think 21 days should have been long enough for the office/ management here to get this cleaned up, but here were are at day 23. Happy FRIDAY THE 13th! ----- *Saturday, January 10, 2026 10:30 pm- I had to call the EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE number here because I was taking a shower and the handle to turn the water ON/ OFF broke off completely as I was toward the end of my shower... The emergency maintenance arrived an hour later and did not have the tools/ parts to fix it, so THEY SHUT OFF THE WATER FOR MY ENTIRE UNIT! ----- *Sunday, January 11, 2026 12 am- I emailed the manager to notify him of my emergency call to maintenance... 12 pm- I emailed the manager to remind him to call a plumber and to turn my water back on... *THE MANAGER HERE IGNORED ALL OF MY EMAILS UNTIL WEDNESDAY- 4 DAYS LATER! ----- *Monday, January 12, 2026 9:30 am- The regular building maintenance came back to my unit to try to fix the issue; They spent 4 hours in my bathroom and managed to put the shower ON/ OFF handle back on, but they punctured a pipe, so then there was a LEAK! ----- From Saturday night, 11pm- Until Monday afternoon, 2pm... - FOR 40 HOURS - I was not able to: Make food at home/ Use the dishwasher... Wash my hands... Shower... Do any laundry... OR FLUSH MY TOILET... Period! Tuesday- Regular maintenance was sent back to confirm the men sent had messed things up on Monday. Wednesday- I was finally able to take a shower! Thursday- Whatever maintenance did Tuesday caused the bath faucet to BLOW OFF THE WALL toward me into the tub when I was doing a bath and about to shower off! VERY STARTLING. FRIDAY, after 5 days of personal + work setbacks due to the management failing to call a professional plumber to begin with- They actually sent a plumber who had to fix everything properly. read more

On my second year of living here, and I love this place. Leaving a review because most people only write these when they're unhappy, and don't usually think about it when things are going well. The gym, the pool, the rooftop lounges - everything is always clean and well taken care of. The maintenance staff respond to things immediately, actually take the time to get to know you by name, and always have a smile. (Lawrence and Carlos in particular have gone out of their way to make sure I've felt at home and supported from day 1.) The community of people that live here are vibrant, social, and friendly. It really feels like just that - a community. Apartments are spacious and modern. The building feels secure. You can't beat the location. Private underground parking. We really wanted to like this place but it was nothing but problems from the start. We constantly had people parking in our assigned spots, transients consistently in the staircases utilizing drugs and leaving needles, broken elevators, fights in the halls, vomit in the garage (that was reported twice but was never cleaned for over two months.. gross), and fire alarm issues (causing us to lose business due to cancelled calls). The manager would post vulgar signage (see photo) around the building calling it a "wretched piss and poop filled cesspool of disgust". He also forgot to send an e-mail to the building to let them know that there would be technicians entering our units for routine checks. Nonetheless, he allowed them to enter all the units instead of rescheduling. This is completely illegal as they are required by civil code to provide advanced notice. They still entered without knocking and without notice. Every time we went by the leasing office, it was someone different complaining about something. Stay clear! read more

Where to begin... 1. The fire alarm would go off regularly. I missed important work calls due to the long length of time it took to turn them off. 2. People would park in my assigned parking spot regularly that I was paying extra for. I remember calling security and instead of towing the car, they made me park in guest parking on the ground level with a ticket to get in and out of the gate. I WAS PAYING FOR THE SPOT! 3. There was vomit in the garage next to my car I had asked over and over again to be cleaned up. 6 months later when I moved out, it was still there. 4. Someone used the parking spot next to me as their "storage unit". Many times I saw bugs on their belongings. I emailed to ask if something could be done and received a response that read "when they come back, we will ask them to clean it up". 6 months later when I moved out, the belongings were still there. 4. Often times when I would take out my dogs and use the stairwells, I would come across people shooting up drugs. With needles and foil. 5. The fob I was given rarely worked on the elevators and garage gate. Countless times (1-2 times a day), I would get stuck and have to take the stairs/back out of the garage and pay for parking on the street. The list goes on and on. 2020 was a tough year, and living in this building only made it more difficult. PLEASE READ: If I could give this apartment 0 stars I would do so. Management (Jim Rickwalt, Tony Subia) has done nothing but harass and bully me during my tenancy. I moved into 7950 Sunset Feb 2018 with an agreement from management that I could use the apartment fitness center to personal train my clients. 2 months latter they changed their mind and attempted to revoke my ability to train clients in the gym. I disregarded their requests and continued to train my clients. They went as far as locking me out of the gym -that didn't last long-. They recently filled an eviction lawsuit against me for training clients. Today I won my evection trial and my tenancy is reinstated. This is a case of middle management on a micro-managment power trip. They don't know their place and think they can bend and break the lease agreement to their will. They do not take the time to at least clean the apartment they make you go and see. With this pandemic why make people see a dirty apartment that people just have move out. They don't show it they make you take a key and for you to get lost. Tony the guy in the office is more worried about not communicating with you then to actually lease your future home. read more

I lived here for six years and loved it! The location is great! The building is not the newest in town, but it is well-built, well-maintained, ongoingly renovated, and priced at fair rates compared to comparable properties. My apartment had large rooms, polished concrete floors, big windows, and great views of the Hollywood hills and out to the San Bernardino Mountains. Rooftop decks are open to all residents, and have views of the entire city and beyond. The pool is beautiful and especially festive in the summer. The onsite team is super friendly and accommodating, and most important of all, dog-friendly. I chose to move after six years for a change of scenery, but I still recommend 7950 West Sunset as a great place to call home. read more

I helped a friend move here a little while ago and he asked me to stay a month while he worked out of the country (before the pandemic) and til this day, I am still so intrigued with this building, staff, cleanliness, attentiveness, and attractiveness of this place. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, clean, and up to date. The pool area gets a direct shot of downtown and aerial shots West Hollywood from certain spots. BBQ, lounge rooms, bar room, and a two floor gym. Like c'mon. To me this is an ideal spot to live. I truly will move into this location in the next coming year since I can't get my mind off of it! Tony was a huge help in showing me spaces when they opened up later last year and I most definitely will be back! read more

It looks like some of these older 1-star reviews are from previous management. I am going on my 3rd year here and still love it as much as I did the day I moved in. Jim, Tony, and Rachal at the leasing office have been amazingly helpful and you can tell they are really trying to keep the place nice with all of the recent upgrades and changes. Common occurrences: trash piled in the hallway, dog feces in the hallways, broken glass, smells from trash in hallways, damage to cars from AirBnB people in the parking lots. Don't waste your time or money. Go some place else. I am currently a resident here and I can say that this place is awful. As soon as my lease is up in 4 months I am out of here. First, the place is way over priced for what you get. Initially when they are trying to sell you on the place they boast about all the amenities. But its all a lie. When I signed up they told me there would be free wi-fi throughout the building but now they have canceled it. Also one of the big selling points is the the communal room on the 6th floor that you could reserve for parties. They told me that any tenant could sign up and reserve the room free of charge. A few months later they changed the rules and now you have to pay for it. The single biggest problem is PARKING. Parking is impossible here. You are given one spot and can opt to buy additional spots. But the problem is that several times when I cam to park in my spot I saw another car already there. I called management and told to please tow this car that is illegally parked in my spot. They told me there is nothing they could do. What the f*&^k! I am paying $2,200 per month for a tiny studio and I don't even have a designated parking spot. What a joke. And last but not least, the manager (Elisa) is incredibly rude. Not exactly the type of person I would want managing my building. Overall, this place really sucks. If I knew what I know now I would never have signed the lease. Stay far away from this place. Its awful. Anyone is welcome to send me an email if they would like to ask me any questions about this place. I would be happy to go into great detail as to why this place is so awful. read more

Oh my GOD. This is one of those places that just makes you forget about all your problems and say "I fking love LA." Seriously! I went here for a pool party on their rooftop pool lounge and wow.....it doesn't get any better, or any more LA than this. Gorgeous view...you can see downtown, Hollywood, everything.........not to mention the incredible pool. And tons of modern looking, sleekly decorated space to lounge on. If you get too hot outside it attaches to an indoor lounge with a FULL BAR (Oh hell yeah), flat screens all over the place, and a nice sound system. You can rent this lounge out, I would totally do it for my next party. I want to move here now, this place is sick-beautiful. I could picture myself spending many a lazy summer day here. The location is perfect, right in Hollywood next to awesome places to eat, shop, and see. And the people I saw here? HELLO eye candy! Models and more models. More please. read more

This place totally rocks and I love it and all my friends like this place as well. I think the best part of this place is the amazing management team that is here now. I would say anyone looking to move defiantly check this place out. I would give the management team extra stars for going above and beyond to make living here the best experience. Pros - Helpful and friendly management and staff - Walking distance to everything or short cab ride to bars or clubs - Great gym, pool, lounges and business rooms - If you have a dog they have an area for that in the courtyard - Secure building with CAMERAS that actually work and record!!! - If you get the concrete flooring it is really easy to clean and looks amazing -There are many more pros but those are just the ones I really love about this building. -The leasing office will put deliveries into your unit if you ask them to, that is extremely helpful when you are not home or working. Cons -Fire alarm goes off -My apartment bathroom doesn't have drawers and it needs more shelves (easy fix just add shelving) -Guest parking is only free for the first 20 minutes (not a big deal at all just some people are surprised by that but the management does tell you and you can by prepaid overnight passes for 10 usually 24.) read more

I can't say enough about 7950. Me and my wife moved in about 4 months ago and we absolutely love it! Jim and his staff are amazing and went above and beyond to help us decide on the best floor plan for our needs while staying within our budget. The amenities are top notch and everything has been newly renovated. Complete with a huge pool, rooftop lounge, fully equipped gym, yoga studio, saunas and sports lounge. Each area has free WiFi available. They even have atms on site!! I'm honestly shocked at some of the bad reviews on here, several of which sound more like a mispelled tantrum full of grammatical errors instead of a review. C'mon people use spell check!! And would it kill you to proof read?? read more

this community is simply beautiful. there are 4 amazing outdoor sky terraces with miraculous views of the hollywood hills, the city, the ocean, downtown LA and everything between. i SO miss living here. everything is high end and luxury. the appliances, the construction, the location (i mean you can walk to everything!). it's one awesome place. they offer studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms and two-story townhomes for rent. and they also have underground parking, which is key being on the sunset strip! read more

I've lived here for 4 years and absolutely love it. The latest building manager, Jim, has been implementing improvements since the day he started (new patio furniture, updated decor throughout common areas, new gym equipment, bbqs by the pool - among other things). The service team is incredible and whenever I have an issue with my apartment, they are able to fix it within 24 hours. The amenities are fantastic, the location speaks for itself, and the tenants for the most part are very friendly and respectful. You really can't go wrong with this place. read more
