I was really pleased with the results. Subsequently, just before COVID (believe fall 2019), I placed an order for another Bespoke suit and Mark took a $1,400 deposit from me. As Covid endured, Mark stop responding to my texts and calls. A couple years went by before Mark and I finally connected. He mentioned he was having some problems with the business and lost some of his key team members. He asked that I remain patient, which I did. Finally, in early 2023, after more messages and texts, he finally reached out and mentioned he couldn't fulfill the bespoke suit order, but he could have two MTM jackets made with the deposit I already had on file. He sent many fabric swatches to me and we finalized the order. By late summer, he went silent again. He finally surfaced in October and apologized and he stated one of the two jackets would be shipped by end of November '23 with the other coming shortly thereafter. To date, I haven't heard another word from Mark. It appears the order was never placed. I'm looking into taking Mark to small claims court to recover my deposit as I really have no recourse at this point. I can't recommend his services to anyone at this point. Really sad as I liked Mark and enjoyed doing business with him. No idea how he can treat good customers this way.

Mark and his team constructed a classic tuxedo, two sport coats, two pair of slacks, and three shirts. The process was enjoyable and his attention to detail was spot on. Jim couldn't have asked for a better experience, or better outcome. And to top it off, he is still receiving rave reviews on his wardrobe from the wedding week. Highly recommend Mark for any and all wardrobe needs.

My current esthetician is Nichole W., and I truly can't recommend her enough. She has made significant improvements to my skin, especially to acne, which I have struggled with for decades, and some aging. I do purchase the products she recommends, because my goal is to have long-term skin improvement. However, I have noticed that Nichole is mindful that people have varying financial situations and is helpful in choosing products to prioritize in the event I'm not able to buy them all at once. I wish I could have come here during my teenage years, because at that time I took every acne medication under the sun and saw minimal improvements, while Bespoke has been able to heal my skin and keep it healthy. Beyond the skincare, I want to highlight Nichole's kindness and the way she genuinely cares for her clients. On at least two occasions I've had an appointment after going through some major life challenge and each time Nichole listened as I told her what I was going through and made my facial a place to escape everything that was going on. She also helped ensure the products I was using were appropriate for the situation I was in at the time. It might sound minor, but these days it's hard to find people that take the time to truly listen to their clients, and that's exactly what Nichole does. For all these reasons I will remain a loyal client of Bespoke for years to come!

I came…read moreto the store because a good friend (who lived in Fairfax) past away and I acquired his last suit that he purchased at William T. Clothiers, and I wanted to get it altered for me in his memory. While I was there I decided to get 4 customs shirts made, as my last tailor retired recently. The shirt measurement process was strange from the get go, the owner/tailor Todd put 2 sample shirts in the dressing room. He stated 1 was for tighter fit, and 1 was for a looser fit. But didn't tell which one was which, so I put on the closest one to me. Todd then started asking me about how I wanted the length/width and such and started to measure me. Then we started to go over shirt patterns and fabrics, and I started to pick out patterns/fabrics/cuffs/collars pretty standard stuff. BTW, once this process started I never did try on the other sample shirts and he never mentioned for me to do so. After all the measuring was finished the pricing came, and OMG it was crazy expensive! The 4 shirts came to an average of $323.75 each, wow. All of my suits, jackets, dress pants, and dress shirts in the last 20 years have been custom tailored as I am an oddly shaped person. I know custom clothing is expensive, but the most I've ever paid for a shirt was about $200, but I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered the shirts as I need a closet refresh. After a few days I got a message that 2 of the shirt designs were not available, so I had to basically let Todd pick the new colors/designs. About 4ish weeks later my shirts were ready for pickup, I was excited to see how the expensive shirts looked. When I tried on the 4 shirts, they were so tight that I was really taken aback. It was like his tape measure or eyesight was not working properly, they were so ill fitting. So all 4 shirts had to be completely reorder, and low and behold another color/design was not available again. That makes 3 of the 4 colors/designs picked out ended up unavailable. Well I picked up the 4 shirts yesterday, 5 months after my original order/measurement. Another bothersome thing with this tailor/Todd is that I ended up in that shop approximately 8 times, and Todd was only there 2 times. He as some nice whiskey displayed in the shop, never did he offer any to me. He knew how upset I was, and didn't even have the decency to be present when I finally pick up my shirts yesterday. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this tailor, there are so many tailors to choose from in the DC area to deal with this tailors crazy high prices, and awful customer service. The shirts are good quality, but this quality can be had for half the price.

I was seeking a custom tuxedo to match the wedding experience my wife and I were planning, and I've only rented tuxedos before. I met Brett at the shop and immediately felt like I was being taken care of through his insightful questions, great candor, honest guidance, and exemplary expertise. Honestly, I came in a bit green to the experience and Brett really took the time to educate me without any impatience, sharing his depth of knowledge to guide me toward the finest dress clothes I've ever owned in my time. I ended up with two custom tuxedo outfits at a competitive price, an outfit change before my dinner reception that had my friends questioning who I was and how I managed to look so sharp. I received countless compliments and kind words from many for how I showed up, and how polished I looked. We had a few small challenges that ran to the wire, as it can happen. It was how Brett resolved them and the certainty by which he delivered on my needs which was truly exemplary. He made sure everything fit and worked perfectly, personally dropped my clothes off at my house, and had one set shipped to me the day before the wedding. He came through, and made it easy for me to trust that he would. I'll be a customer of the Tailored Man for a long time, and alas I won't be able to revert back to a standard look easily now that I've been spoiled by this quality and experience. I'm happy to have a tailor now, and want to thank Brett always for helping me show up at my best, on my best day.

What sets this experience apart is that you're not working with someone who is simply selling suits. You're working with someone who genuinely understands classic menswear, tailoring, and proportion, and who has an excellent tailor on the premises. That combination is incredibly rare. In my experience, many made-to-measure programs are primarily sales-driven. The person taking your measurements may be very personable, but often doesn't have a deep understanding of garment construction, fit, or how to modify a pattern to achieve a specific look. This experience was completely different. Every detail was discussed thoughtfully, and there was never any hesitation when I wanted to customize the pattern. Whether it was the lapel shape, shoulder expression, button stance, sleeve pitch, trouser cut, or other details, every request was taken seriously and executed exactly as I envisioned. I'm probably one of the pickiest clients anyone could have when it comes to tailoring. I have extremely high expectations for fit, and I've even had made-to-measure programs tell me they couldn't produce the result I was looking for because my standards were beyond what they felt comfortable promising. This time, the suit arrived exactly as I wanted it. Remarkably, I didn't need a single alteration. That has never happened to me before. Even if price weren't part of the equation, I would still consider this the best suit I've had made through any made-to-measure program. The level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, willingness to customize, and overall knowledge of menswear is exceptional. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about making the best possible garment--not just making a sale--I recommend him without hesitation. I'll absolutely be back for future commissions.

I very rarely leave reviews for anything online, but use them almost everyday, is that bad? Lol…read more Anyway, I had to leave a review for quite possibly the best customer service experience I've ever had. Backstory: I proposed to my then-fiance, now-wife back in April of 2013 and through the course of wedding preparations, decided that I wanted to have a tuxedo made fully bespoke. (I also needed to purchase a few business suits) Years of football and weightlifting had left me with a body that is incompatible with 95% of off-the-rack business and formal clothing. So, I began sampling custom clothiers all around the DC area, and my findings generally lacked the 'Experience' I was looking for. Most tailor shops were impersonal, unreasonably priced, or both. Enter Bryn: He's extremely personable, knowledgeable, accommodating, and took his time to get to know me. The best way to sum it up is that I felt like I was talking to a friend who was doing me a favor as opposed to a business owner selling me a product. During my first appointment in November 2013 at his shop, we discussed his offerings (virtually limitless), my personal style, and then all the necessary measurements were taken. Then I threw him a curveball: I was in the process of cutting bodyfat and informed him that I'd be significantly smaller by the wedding date (March 8, 2014). No sweat, he proposed several fittings over the course of the next few months and would tailor the suit to match the body composition changes. Over the course of those months I had an initial fitting, as well as two subsequent fittings, over which time I lost size in the waist/legs and gained in the back/arms. The tux and suits fit perfectly in each stage, which I thought was amazing. Fast forward to 3 weeks before my wedding, I realized I needed a new tuxedo shirt. I called Bryn, reluctantly because it was so last minute, and asked if he could possibly get one made for me in such a short time frame. Again, no problem, I received the shirt one week before my wedding, and of course it fit perfectly. This consistent level of service and quality of clothing is why I'll be calling on Bryn to provide all of my future custom clothing needs. He's top notch.

I started out replacing my shirts and have slowly started replacing pants, blazers and recently order a few vests. I was quite impressed with the number and variety of fabrics as well as the customizable options from pocket location/type to shirt cuffs to hidden shirt buttons (my favorite). It definitely takes time to figure out what you really want, but that's the beauty of custom. The owner, Bryn Johnson, is very knowledgeable and can help guide you during the process of deciding how you want to item(s) to look. I haven't moved on to suits yet, since I'm not required by my job, but a nice 3 piece suit is next on my ever growing list.

My soft cat eye top was taken in and from the front center, which changed the look of the dress and where it sat on my chest. I said it wasn't what we discussed and it changed the dress, and they suggested cutting the cat eye corners. I showed them the picture of how it was before and said to make it just that way and the next week luckily they did--it was back as it was! The hemming was just fine and done well. The bustle loops were made of a material that was like a very thin clear fishing line. I was a bit nervous about how it would hold up but I trusted it since I'm no expert. Sadly 1 of 3 bustle loops snapped before walking into the reception and a second bustle loop snapped 10 minutes into dancing. It looks so weird in pictures but it was game time and we couldn't grab a pin. It was a heavy ballgown with a cathedral train and multiple layers. Because it was just so heavy and impossible to hold up, I had to put on my outfit from the rehearsal 30 min into dancing. Luckily I had it with me, but I was so bummed because I wanted to wear it for at least half of the reception dancing!
