Great to be here at the soft opening of 8 Bell, the new Irish Pub in Camden Maine! Going for a Guinness and the Celtic Pie! Some nice music going, love it! And being a former Navy Man, I love the name, end of the watch.

The drinks, staff, and ambiance was all amazing. A taste of Ireland is exactly what Camden needed. Will be back

We enjoyed the cottage stew and hand pies with our Guinness.

White table cloth service. Servers were all excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. This place has the best fine dining experience in the mid-coast. Food was outstanding- every course. I did find the printed à la carte and dessert menus odd as they list the dishes' main ingredients but lack any preparation detail. So we found ourselves having to ask about several dishes before being able to make a selection. Maybe it is on purpose but it made me a bit uncomfortable to keep asking about preparation of the dishes throughout the courses. The only real negative for us is the same negative we had 10 years ago. We were seated in the porch area and I suspect they fill this area first as it has wonderful views of the Camden Hills. Both times we have been seated in there, there have been loud, fairly obnoxious diners (#-bombs flying this last visit) in the room with us. Complete turn off but nothing the restaurant can do about it. We will try Natalie's again but will forgo the porch dining for another room.

The chowder tasted of cream, the potatoes were soft and subtle and cooked and cut properly; the clams were fresh and the amount resting the just not enough range. We finally got our drinks and were waiting for a table and watched the hostess do her job and then run over and make drinks. Nothing sanitary here as she tore up mint leaves and picked up fruits after working at the hostess stand. Yikes!! We wanted something simple for dinner so I ordered the Quesedilla appetizer. Right after we were seated, a table of 12 was seated next to us, which I knew would be problematic. To make matters worse, they were splitting their orders up in multiple people. The poor server. We waited very long for our food and my husband finally tagged another server and asked him to check. Sure enough our food was ready but our server was busy. My quesedillas were fine, nothing special.
