Breweries are always a fun stop to taste some beers and enjoy the surroundings. Being right on the water, MWB definitely brings the sites. We stopped in for a quick round of tasting after dinner. We didn't love most of the beers in our lineup but we only tried a few from the massive menu. I did love the Tequilla2R9 though. The waitress said most customers either love or hate it. I'd recommend swinging in and giving it a try.

I was not sure it was open, but I was diligent and walked about and found that they had some gates open to an outdoor seating area. I was just looking for a quick lunch and they definitely performed. I was able to sit at the bar right at the edge of the water. Super cool view of the river and the bridge, very scenic. I could even see the big tugs docked next door which I thought was neat. I had an orange sour, I can't remember the name, but low in alcohol volume (I was driving) and paired it with their lobster roll. It came with local chips and a pickle. It was all amazing. The combination was very complimentary, and I highly enjoyed it all together. There were very few people here, the weather was perfect and the staff was nice. I would recommend this location to anyone passing through.

We are there today with a group of 5 adults and 5 kids. Every adult at our table has worked extensively in the restaurant industry and we are usually good tippers. However, our server forgot to enter one of appetizers and never brought it. Then my Wife never received her chicken quesadilla. My daughter ordered a quesadilla with no red peppers but it came with peppers on it. Then both my niece and nephew didn't receive their food. My sister asked our server Kelly if their food was coming and she said it was in the oven. My nieces rice bowl came after everyone else had finished eating and we asked about the pizza that was "in the oven" and she said I guess I never rang that in??? Then despite forgetting several order items, never bringing my wife's or nephew's food, and my niece not getting to eat until after every one else was done our waitress included an automatic 20% gratuity. I still would have tipped her because I will tip even poor servers 15% but a mandatory 20% tip after such poor service is rather surprising.

Friendly, unobtrusive service in a beautiful marina/wharf environment with waterfront views. We even got to see some otters playing in the water which was really cool. The beers are great. Our favorites from two flights were the vanilla cream ale, pumpkin saison, Not Smashed session pale, Hefeweizen, and raspberry wheat. Great spot to relax.

Casual seating and fun atmosphere near the water. Children and well trained dogs welcome. Games in one corner. Ian was very welcoming and helpful. Plenty of choices in different styles.

Cool little spot on the water. My wife's flight was really solid, she got four 6oz. pours and liked all her options (kolsch, ale, Mexican lager, etc). Mysharona IPA - solid but not great. Had a diff type of taste to it for a NEIPA. Charcuterie board - really good Location - right on the wharf, really cool spot on the water where you could see them shucking oysters. Super eclectic.

Honestly a little unremarkable but in a good way. Feels like the kind of place that's it's on a Friday, but on a Wednesday feels like the towny spot. Lacks that touristy energy we all hate. The beers i had (hefe and hazy) were good not great which is great considering how many sh%t breweries exist. Service was great, waitress was super friendly and felt genuine. Nothing like enjoying a beer and pizza staring at the bay. Open till 9 which is an hour later than the rest of town.

Many beers to choose from. The food didn't really speak to me but ambiance is cool being right on the harbor. There is seating with views.

The atrium overlooks Belfast Harbor so a great view during the day and the twinkle of the bridge lights are awesome at night.

We walked up and we're told by the host that there's a 15 min wait at 6:15PM for inside seating pur we could sit in the outdoor lounge area. We walked around the block and came back just as the host was calling to tell us there was a bar seat available. We descended the steps to what I could only describe as an underground secret garden. It was compact but did not trigger my claustrophobia. There were tables, couches and the bar. We sat at the bar right in front of the cake stand for the oft mentioned Texas Sheet Cake. I ordered the marg special which was grapefruit; my husband ordered the blood orange. Both delicious but the blood orange was a much brighter citrus flavor. We ordered the chips and salsa with a small side of guacamole. I thought the salsa was amazing but husband said it was too much cilantro for his soap gene. Dinner was chicken tinga tacos for me and duck confit tacos for him. The chicken tacos were delicious, among some of the best I've had. The tortilla was a warm, soft, extremely flavorful flour tortilla packed with chicken and topped with microgreens. I'm not a big duck fan so I didnt try my husband's tacos but he loved them. Our second round of drinks was the spicy margarita for me and the same blood orange for him. The spicy margarita did NOT disappoint. We got the last piece of the chocolate Texas Sheet Cake to go as well as an orange vanilla spice cake slice. We ate them at home and both were very good. The staff was all very friendly, funny and warm. We'll go back but definitely wasn't expecting amazing tacos in Maine.

A kind voice purred on the phone asking what we wanted, and immediately changed the mood in the car. Good start. We ordered chicken tacos and mushroom tacos. We also took a chance on dessert and ordered the mago panna cotta. The chicken tacos were really good and spicy. The mushroom tacos were like a hug to the belly. The panna cotta knocked the meal out of the park. Oh lord, that was a revelation. The chef knows what he is doing. Bless him!

I'm from New Orleans, where food doesn't whisper--it speaks up. After spending a full month traveling the Maine coast from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth, I found plenty of fresh seafood and scenic charm, but very few dishes that truly woke up my palate. Then I walked into Hey Sailor. This place doesn't hold back. The flavors are layered, intentional, and memorable--each bite feels thoughtfully built rather than simply assembled. There's a balance here between creativity and comfort, with dishes that feel both elevated and satisfying. It's the kind of food that makes you pause mid-conversation because your attention suddenly shifts to what's happening on the plate. In a region where subtlety often takes the lead, Hey Sailor confidently turns up the volume without losing finesse. It's not just good for Maine--it's good, period. If you're someone who craves food with depth, personality, and a little punch, this is a stop worth making. For me, it stood out as one of only two places on this entire coastal stretch that truly delivered that kind of experience.

Never written an online review in my life. traveling. "hey…read moresailor" had a funky name and advertised good tacos. give it a shot, right? $8 per taco-which seemed like a lot- but expecting a big crunch very tasty taco. Nope. tiny. think smallest grocery store street taco wraps. they doubled them up presumably to add weight to it and to keep it from falling apart but they did anyway. which was a minor miracle because there was barely anything in it. said it would be ready in an hour. took hour and 15 min. worst of all, they left out the sauces which presumably would give these tiny things some personality. got house made taco chips to go with it, they tasted like they had been sitting around a lot longer than an hour. terrible salsa. like diced tomatoes and water. overall, fifty bucks (sixty after tip) for 4 little soft tacos and some nasty chips. I get it. it's a tough business and hard to get good help. I had my own small restaurant for 40 years. but I was always there making sure everything was as good as possible. and it was. get it together guys. put some effort into it and don't disappoint people like us traveling who don't want fried seafood or pizza, for Christ's sake.
