I got a gel manicure two weeks ago, and it's already chipping -- the polish is even peeling off in full pieces. It's almost like the gel is lifting right off my nails. I chose the "cat eye" style, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. I specifically get gel manicures because they usually last around 4 weeks, which is why I was surprised and disappointed by how quickly this one started coming apart. When I called the salon, I was told gel polish should last 3-4 weeks, but unfortunately, they weren't willing to fix or compensate for the issue. It's especially disappointing because I've been coming here regularly with my nieces for gel manicures and pedicures, spending nearly $200 a month. With so many nail salons around, I expected at least a gesture of goodwill like a discount or touch-up, but that didn't happen. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

The results remained the same. Day two, a layer of the gel peeled from my thumb nail. I had their business card with a 20% discount that the cashier would not honor; there was no expiration date but she said "it was too old." I used my credit card and was charged a (small) fee for using the credit card, which wasn't mentioned (if there were a sign there about that, I did not see it). I was given a Manicure and Pedicure as a gift from a friend in Hawaii on my 75th birthday. This was my first ever. My friend told me NOT to get the Gel and I advised the gal there. She kept saying you want gel and at least 3 times I said NO. I do not know the difference as it was my first time. She gave me Gel and I was having surgery for cancer in a week and the day before was told that I could not have any polish. I panicked when I could not get it off. Seems it takes a special process. Too late. My surgery was adjusted. I wrote a letter and hand carried it to the business, after my surgery, that requested half of my $110.00 refunded because of their potentially dangerous error. Never heard a word from them and I emailed them at least 6 times and the person answering the email did not give their name and refused to understand my problem. Sounds like a language problem. They were very rude and will not talk to me. I have since found out that they have quite a few complaints against their establishment. My nail tech was just so sloppy, I'm so upset and don't know why I bothered tipping. The pedicure was fine but it's hard to mess that up. The manicure, however, was terrible. He barely filed my nails. I had to ask for the nail file to fix two of my nails myself. Then he was just sloppy putting the polish on. Then the topcoat. He just globbed it on very sloppily and put way too much on each nail. I asked if he could even out the top coat and he said it would dry fine. Well, it didn't. So, This used to be my go to place since the age of 9 11 years I was a customer. Not anymore. Old management great, New is the worst EVER. They charged me 51 dollars for a fill, And I didn't really catch it at first, And when I went back an asked about the prices and was told a fill was 33 I asked why was charged 51, they tell me why didn't you say something before, 1. I was very disappointed with the sanitation. After everything going on right now with COVID-19 I came in today for a pedicure everything is set up to look nice. But if you sit there for an hour and look around and watch everything that's going on nobody is cleaning the seats that anybody sits on the menus are laminated and not disposable so people are touching it. All the dividers are not sanitized after each client. And the shower curtains that are hung are not sanitized after each client. The seats are not wiped down. And I was placed within 3 feet of another lady who is coughing and not wearing a mask. It seems like they discriminated who they asked to wear masks because somewhere asked and some were not. Unreal and very worried now for this to become the next "hot spot" since Proper sanitation measures were not met according to CDC guidelines. read more

The male tech that did my nails was aggressive with the dremel and didn't ease up even after I asked him to and he jabbed his thumb nail into my finger to 'unstick' the skin from the nail and it hurt. I would give this salon five stars UNTIL TODAY. I have been a customer at this salon for years and have received really good pedis and manis from the nail tech, Van. I have decided to give my nails a rest and go natural with my nails for awhile. One of my nails tore below the quick. To prevent it from tearing all the way across, I went into Pretty Nails and asked the owner if they could glue this area for me to prevent further tearing. Even though I have spent hundreds of dollars there over the years, he acted like he did not know me and said, "We are too busy and can't do that." I said, "Just some glue, right here." He said, "We are too busy, see the lady waiting." I looked at a him thinking. . ."You really don't want to do this, do you?"
