I ran over a screw on the road. I had a flat and my spare wasn't useable, so I called for a tow. The woman who answered was super helpful. She gave me an ETA, cost and took all my info. She told me 30-45 minutes. 25 minutes later my driver Laura arrived. Laura was awesome! She got my vehicle loaded up and got me and my car to the tire shop we even had a nice chat about towing. My rear wheel blew out on highway 1 going 65 MPH in la selva around 12:30am on a sunday/holiday weekend. State Farm couldn't get a local tow truck to help with roadside assistance at that hour. So i was stuck. id tried to change the tire myself, in the mud & rain, but couldn't get the old wheel off. so i slid into my comfy sleeping bag in the drivers seat and started to fall asleep thinking i was in for the evening. It was a fairly quiet spot next to Hwy 1 comparatively. so my mom, being the protective type, called CHP (she's staying with me for few months) and they came out and attempted to change the tire for me! two big highway patrol guys couldn't get that tire off and so the car was stuck at the off ramp!! Defeated, CHP dropped me off at home around 4am after realizing nothing else we could do. Flash forward to morning. my facebook plea for help got me a ride back to my car. Kevin from 831 towing came out and managed to get the wheel off the axle under extreme adversity. He changed it out, in the rain, while mercury was in retrograde and during the Trump Administration ! Great company! Well it turns out mine is a rare tire. lloyds was the only place in town that had it in stock. Costco didn't have this tire. I was just that stocked this wheel for my ride was available at Lloyd's. skeeeeeeew! They changed this tire within 30 minutes of my arrival. Tire install is around $20. Boy was I in hot water when I (stupidly) got my truck stuck on the dirt road leading to the location of our anniversary party on our property DEEP in the SC mountains. We had originally requested a tow from AAA since it's our insurance company, however after waiting for 3 hours we we're informed that they could not tow our truck because it was modified and it was to low to the ground. I got a tow this morning from your company. The driver refused to wear a face covering. I asked him if the towing company had a face covering policy. His answer was "No" "I'm not supposed to have a passenger" he said that I was supposed get an Uber. Uber doesn't pick up people in the middle of the freeway. The thing is that he did have a passenger and he should have been wearing a face covering. All I could do is keep him from talking as much as possible. He was ignorant, unsafe, and I had no other choice but to ride with this guy who might be exposing me to a deadly virus. These guys really turned around a pretty crappy day for me. While doing some errands, I got back to the car and it wouldn't start. A jump wouldn't take; I bought and installed a new battery - no go. So now I need to get my dead car to my mechanic across town - one mile. Called the "big name" guys and they wanted $200 - their minimum. Googled up another place and was told $450! Thankfully I found 831 Towing! Friendly on the phone. A far more reasonable $100 minimum would easily cover the tow. Their driver arrived in less than 15 minutes with a nice, clean flatbed truck. Friendly, professional and safe! Tried to get my car started - no luck - so on to the truck it went. Extra careful to not scrape the bottom. Masked against COVID. Took the car and me to my mechanic, and then eased the car right into a parking space for overnight, and offered me a ride home. Nobody wants a tow, but this was the best I've ever gotten. I have State Farm insurance and roadside assistance and I lost my keys one night and I'm dumb for it lol I'll admit it but thankfully I had 3 days of off work and I was not supposed to be at work the following day so I was covered in this bad situation anyways I could not find them after the second day and they were still missing. I had 831 come out and unlock my car the 2nd day and The first tow truck driver was named Berto and made me feel very comfortable as I felt embarrassed that I lost my keys and unlocked my car with no issue, I had hoped that my keys were inside my car, and sadly they were not. So at that point, I knew I had to have my car towed to the the dealership in town and get a new set of keys made. Once again I called my insurance company and 831 came out the third day to tow my car to the Chevy dealership. When the second driver from 831, his name was Lee and he towed and delivered my car and myself to Chevrolet of Watsonville and I got my keys made, I am very grateful and thankful for 831 towing and I will always call them first if I ever get into another emergency. Both drivers Berto and Lee were amazing and friendly. Especially Lee who went out of his way to deal with the fact that my car would not go into neutral easily without my keys and he got my car onto his tow truck without problems I am forever appreciative of 831!!! read more

My mother's insurance company sent this tow truck company to her. The driver was late and when called to ask where he was, cussed her out and hung up. Then (witnessed by the entire repair shop) started yelling and cussing at her, explicit profanity including the term "cu%t". My car wouldn't start at a gas station, and after calling around and being told, there was a 1 to 2 hour wait for a tow, 831 towing and Wesley, in particular, responded in 15 minutes. Wesley was professional, and went the extra mile when it came to dropping my car at my house. He made the suggestion that, after jumping the car, we turn off the car and restart the car, ruling out an expensive repair. I called my insurance company for a tow. They referred 831 towing. The first contact wanted to jump my Electric car. I refused the offer. The next attempt came with a bad dolly and dead rescue charger and a truck too big for space. The third try came with a dolly and wanted to charge the car. I gain refused the service and he insisted that a charge was indicated. I again refused and went ahead anyway and all the lights flashed and all signs of life disappeared. I checked with the dealer and they reiterated no charge and electrocution was a distinct possibility. If you own an electric car I can't recommend 831 towing. read more

Super friendly customer service however they sent out an employee who struggled aimlessly to unlock the car. I am comparing this experience with 3 other lockout experience through Rossi Towing.
