When we were there, there was only one staff member watching the children and it was chaos. Anybody could have come in and grabbed a child, or a child could have easily wandered out. I absolutely don't feel comfortable leaving my daughter there and won't be taking her back until/unless this is resolved. Secondly, the Babe Cave area had no air conditioning--or at least it didn't feel like it. It was suffocatingly hot and all the girls there agreed. I walked out looking like I had been in a sauna. The gym just opened this week, so I'm hoping these kinks will be worked out soon. Otherwise, it has great potential.

Ashley helped me by looking into my account, talking to upper management, and keeping me updated. I didn't need to follow up with her at all. Now my account issue is resolved and no longer in collections. She did a great job handling this which is RARE with new gyms.

I can say wholeheartedly that CFE has checked every single one of those boxes for me. All of the coaches are super knowledgeable and very approachable. Whether its been injury/surgery, lacking a skill, or even a mental fear of a movement - all workouts are scaleable for every person's ability and no one is ever judged negatively for it. I am also personally familiar with receiving the loudest cheers for finishing last. I thought I needed to get in shape before starting crossfit - I didn't want to be embarrassed. Never have I felt ashamed or insecure around these people who within weeks of joining have become lifelong friends of mine. I am so proud to call these people my family.

I emailed the owner and instantly felt welcome. She invited me to an intro session and I got excited. When I went to that intro session I met three other young women and I know that two of us signed up. In fact, that other woman that I signed up with, started the same day as me. We have become the best of friends. And since, we have met other lifelong friends with the same goals and same values. Are there some that get along better than others... sure... but that's the way life is. I have seen such a transformation in my body! I am leaner, I am stronger and I am doing things I NEVER thought I could do. I can climb a rope for goodness sake!!! And all with the encouragement of the other members. I won't lie... it's intimidating at first. But not because of *this* box... but because you are walking into something unknown. But as soon as you meet the coaches and you see what it's all about... you're home. If you are looking to try crossfit and aren't afraid to "drink the Koolaid"... please try this box. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Planet Fitness and the lack of transparency,…read moreprofessionalism, and respect shown by both staff and management. When I broke my foot earlier this year, I was never informed that I had the option to freeze my account. As a result, I was charged all year long despite not being able to use the facility even once. When I addressed this with staff, I was told that I was "allowed to freeze my account only once" and that if I didn't extend it after three months, that was on me. At no point was I ever informed that an extension was required. Instead of helping, the staff dismissed my concerns and insisted I would continue to be charged. Planet Fitness has increased fees without notifying members, and the policies--which used to be reasonable years ago--have become confusing, inconsistent, and frankly unfair. The response I received from the gym was clearly written only to protect their reputation, not to help resolve the issue. I remain stuck in a contract I was misled about, and I have paid for a service I could not use due to injury. UPDATE - November 19, 2025 This situation escalated into one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful experiences I have ever had at any business. I brought my 78-year-old mother, who is hard of hearing, to join me for a workout. What should have been a positive experience turned into a complete embarrassment. The individual who claimed to be the manager - identified to me as Rodrick - spoke to both of us with a rude, dismissive, and condescending tone. My mother struggled with her phone, and instead of assisting her respectfully, he barked instructions at her, demanding she download the app, provide her email, and take a photo immediately. She was made completely uncomfortable. We were then told she could not use the infrared light therapy and that only I could. From the beginning, Rodrick made it extremely clear that we were not welcome and could not fully enjoy the amenities. The situation escalated to the point where he told us to leave if we didn't like it. I have been a paying member for three years. This year alone, due to my broken foot, I have been able to visit the gym only twice. For my second visit to be ruined by a manager -- who behaved more unprofessionally than any employee I have ever encountered -- is absolutely unacceptable. My own employer does not speak to me the way this young man did. Planet Fitness has taken my money while providing almost no usable service this entire year, and the treatment my mother and I received was disgraceful. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I expect Planet Fitness to address the conduct of this manager immediately. For anyone considering a membership: Be aware that cancellations require paying multiple fees, annual fees are increased without notice, and the "all-club access" membership comes with strings attached. Ask many questions, because the information provided to members is inconsistent at best. I will be extremely hesitant to return, and I will call ahead to ensure this manager is not present. His behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply disrespectful. Planet Fitness, you have some explaining to do.

The facility has everything you need -- plenty of machines, a sauna, and even bootcamp classes. The trainers are attentive and will step in to help if they see you struggling, which I really appreciate. That said, it can get very overcrowded, especially during certain hours. I'm not hating on anyone trying to better themselves, but the guest policy seems a little too lenient. It feels like there's no real limit on guests during staffed hours, which makes it tough to get on machines -- and some people just sit around on their phones. Another issue is the lack of enforcement of gym rules. When I first took a tour, management said things like sandals and barefoot workouts weren't allowed, but I've seen plenty of people doing exactly that -- even walking barefoot on the turf area, which is both a hygiene and liability concern. There's been some turnover with staff and management lately, but everyone I've interacted with has been friendly and professional. Despite the crowding and minor issues, I still like the gym overall and would recommend it -- just be prepared to go during off-peak hours if you want easier access to equipment.
