Hey, Lukas Liquors was way better to begin with, let's just state that fact. Now we have a generic version of that full of employees chasing you around the store bothering you while you're trying to look at the booze. Then there's the boxes. I buy four bottles of whisky, easily $150 price range. I drive from two hours away to get here. I want a box to put my round bottles in so they won't roll around in the back of the car. They protect these boxes like they're gold. Borderline rude. It's against store policy, I've been told. On this visit, the guy said I could have a box. He selects a tiny little box without dividers and tries to cram four bottles of whisky on top of each other. Come on. Being a wise a$$ he says, "there we let you have a box". I urge corporate to address this issue. The only reason I came, was because I was in the area and wanted a rare bottle. A Total Wine rep may reply to this review stating: they hope they can do better next time. Don't reply unless you can fix the box issue. I'm spending money. I'm a customer. Give me a carton with partitions to get home. They're lying all over the front of the store. Train your employees so they at least know the store policy.

We can always find everything we need, the prices are fantastic, and sometimes my husband can even find a specialty bourbon he's been looking for. The stores are spotless, and full of helpful staff. They also do tastings and you can pay to have a tasting event there too, which looks really fun! If you're in a hurry for your party, you can also pick up cheese, crackers, another various snacks which is very helpful.

Nestled into a busy shopping center at 95th and Antioch this neighborhood liquor store is super convenient and has good selection for its size. To me, MDL is kind of a hybrid between a very small mom and pop and a mega liquor store like total wine. You're going to find a good selection of everything but you may not find EVERYTHING if that makes sense. The prices are similarly marked - cheaper than a super small place, but again hard to compete with a mega store. I go here mostly because it's close to my house and has decent selection, is local (I think!), and has friendly staff. They also usually carry seasonal releases from local breweries and distilleries which is nice to know you can count on them to have new releases in stock when they come out. Overall this is a solid place and I'm super grateful to have it in my backyard.

They have all price points and varieties, with detailed descriptions in front of almost every bottle. Got great recommendations for a gift and Christmas dinner. Their customer service and variety keeps me coming back. At least one person will greet you and offer to help as soon as you walk in. I really enjoy getting recommendations from these guys, and they haven't let me down. Ambience is very clean and organized, and they are often dusting down things to keep it that way. Marking them on my favorites so I don't forget to come back next year, maybe sooner! Thanks again.

Fox Hill Wines & Spirits ended up being the perfect stop. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an older gentleman who was incredibly friendly and patient. I'm not much of a drinker, so when I do buy drinks, I usually need a little guidance. I wanted something smooth, enjoyable, and not so strong that it would completely knock me out. He listened to what I was looking for and recommended the Cutwater Margarita Variety Pack. I'm so glad I took his advice! I had never tried Cutwater before, and the variety pack was a great way to sample several flavors without committing to just one. The mini cans were the perfect size, and the margarita selection was surprisingly good. Considering how pricey these drinks can be when purchased individually, the variety pack was a much better value and reasonably priced. The store itself is clean, bright, and well organized, making it easy to browse. Prices were clearly marked, and everything was laid out in a way that made shopping simple. The location was also a bonus since it was just a short drive from my hotel, making it an easy stop before calling it a night. If you're in the area and looking for friendly service, fair prices, and a great selection, I'd definitely recommend stopping by Fox Hill Wines & Spirits. I'd happily return the next time I'm passing through. Cheers to finding the perfect road-trip nightcap with several claps
