From day one, they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time every morning, communicated clearly throughout the project, and even sent me progress photos every evening before they left so I always knew what had been accomplished. What impressed me most was how much they genuinely cared about the quality of their work and about making sure I was happy every step of the way. They kept the work area incredibly clean (which is so rare), and I never felt like I was living in a construction zone. They also went above and beyond by helping with things that weren't really their responsibility, including assisting with installing my bathroom cabinet and helping with the countertop. That level of professionalism and kindness is hard to find. I received several bids before starting this project, and while they weren't the cheapest, they were worth every penny. You may forget the money you saved by hiring the lowest bidder, but you will definitely remember the headache of having to redo bad work. Choosing these guys saved me from that. Even my kids were sad when the project was over because they had gotten so used to seeing them every day! They work fast, communicate well, take pride in what they do, and deliver beautiful results. The projected started and his dad Efren and brother Brian started the job right on time (this has never happened and I have dealt with a lot of contractors/workers). They continue their work and were always communicating and on time. This is unheard of for me. He even helped me find someone to do another job I needed which also turned out amazing. Valentin was very responsive and after my first call and was out within the week to give me an estimate for the job. I had already purchased new tile for my fireplace surround; I needed advice on edging (which I'd not yet bought), layout, and then of course the actual install. I will admit, Valentin's estimate was not the lowest I received, however it was reasonable, and I didn't mind paying just a little more to have the job done beautifully. I am very picky (read: anal retentive / perfectionist) and had very high expectations for this project, especially considering the fireplace in the living room is the focal point of the room. I wanted it to be perfect! The tiles I selected are thick glazed terra-cotta hexagonal tiles that definitely made the layout for this project more of a challenge for Hector, our installer. It also made grout cleanup a total pain for Hector, as there are a lot of nooks in the tile that the grout had to be cleaned out of. It was a very collaborative process and Hector and Valentin made sure that we were all on the same page throughout. The install took two days. Hector was very respectful of my home and my children; I felt very comfortable having him here (I only feel this is nice to mention in case any mom's out there are reading this review. Comfort around your children is important when someone is working in your home!) He did outstanding work and cleaned up everything after each day. My fireplace surround turned out to be everything I wanted it to be! All the tiles and grout lines are level and even. I am so so happy!!!
