Got quote of $4800 for standard grade vinyl plank installed based on 225 sq ft. When I questioned the sq ft they said the laser and computer was right. My kitchen floor is only 160sq ft. Didn't accept the quote and the deposit was put against the countertop. Counter top cut installed to my satisfaction. Got another quote from another company. Their quote was $1800 for commercial grade vinyl plank installed with a lifetime warranty based on the actual footage of 165 sq ft. Went back today to question again the inflated quote for the flooring. I spoke to the owner and his answer to me "it was my problem because I got my money back and to get out of his store." At that point he escorted me out of the store. You determine what is going on here. The only reason for the one star is Agnes and the countertop crew on an excellent job. From start to finish, they literally were the best experience out of all the contractors I used during my kitchen renovation project. I stopped into Roma just because I was in the area. ( I live out east on L.I. And my son lives in Bohemia). I did a google search because I figured there had to be a granite store somewhere close. ( I was doing renovation using Lowe's which I had no complaints, you just can't pick out the actual stone to be used) The reason I was looking was to see what other options I had in tends of counter tops and because I really wanted to choose and pick the exact stone that would be used and how it will be cut. With Lowe's, you only see the sample in the store and hope for the best. I walked into Roma and that's when I met Lisa. She was so welcoming and helpful with my questions. I felt really comfortable with them. We walked the lot looking at remnants and then the full slabs, and I found exactly what I wanted. From measuring to install, everything was extremely smooth and stress free. And the pricing I felt was great as well! I was even able to go into the shop, look at my 2 slabs and then with Lisa, we taped out exactly where I wanted the stone to be cut and used for each section. This was very exciting!! Installation day was awesome as the crew came, they needed 4 guys to get my beautiful 60x108" island top into the house, lifted and placed. They were amazing! Also, we had found this beautiful piece at another store (f & d) that we wanted to use behind the oven as an accent. She gave me an amazing price to pick up the stove, cut it and get it installed! He made and installed custom granite countertops for us. We never met with him in person, given our current plague, but emailed him color schemes and online photos of what we were looking for. He selected the specific granite used and texted us photos and videos of the material before we had him cut and install. The countertops were, to our happy surprise, even more stunning in person than they were in photos, and he did all work on time. Reggie is very personable and a fantastic, prompt communicator, despite not being the most technologically savvy human in NYC. (To be fair, I'm a total Luddite as well.) No hidden prices (a pet peeve of mine), no unpleasant surprises -- only pleasant ones when we were finally able to see the quality of his work in person. They decided not to install the new padding because the one that was under the existing carpet was quite new. This saved them all of the labor that would've been involved to remove the existing padding and to install the new padding... a significant part of the overall job in my estimation. I was refunded the cost of the new padding (even though I have to take their word for it because there wasn't a line item for the cost on the estimate), but they still charged me the full cost of labor. I called them to discuss this and was told they don't refund on labor. I don't think it's fair to make me pay for work that ended up not being done. I don't feel like I was treated fairly and my complaint wasn't taken seriously.

He wasn't able to come....had a " fire dept. thing. On the day he was supposed to come, we were up and waiting.....had to call again. So his crew arrived...very nice guys. Foreman worked hard to solve one issue. The quality of the railing materials....stinks. I'm sure they came from Home Depot. Treated lumber for stair posts with obvious gouges and splintering. Screws on decking not flush. This was not a cheap job. We expected better.
