This location was new to us as we always go the 91 near Glenmoor. This location definitely has a different vibe I've never waited that long to be seated. We were sat in a isolated room off to the left of the entrance that was so noisy I got a headache from the loud customers in that room. It was so joyful when they left. They weren't rude. They were just having a good time with a group of around 10 people that had drinks on board. Our server was very nice and provided compassionate service. What a hidden gem in a strip mall. From beginning to end, this was such a wonderful date night out. We loved the warm, relaxing atmosphere and the staff are all so professional. We were glad we had made reservations, as the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night. I think they are known for the wood fired pizzas, but we could not pass up ordering the ahi tuna and the vegetable risotto. We started with the sausage and peppers appetizer, which was served with fresh basil and fresh parmesan. The sausage had the best flavor. We did not have room for dessert, but the ones that went past us looked so good. They have an extensive speciality martini list, and if you like a dessert cocktail this is your place. I have been going to Jackson 91 for many years. Recently the menu has changed dramatically. No stuffed peppers. Not spaghetti with meatballs. Their original menu is gone. I understand you need to update but when your customers are ying to tell the management there is a problem, they should be listening. I visited here with my daughter and mother. We shared a wedge salad, brussel sprouts, and Amy's favorite pizza. The wedge salad was very light on toppings, so mostly a chunk of iceberg lettuce. Our brussel sprouts never made it to our table, although our waiter was verbally apologetic, he could've mitigated this by checking back more frequently. The pizza was very flavorful and we all agreed one of the best we have tried there. Previously, our experiences here have been excellent, so we will try again. This is a wonderful restaurant. They have banquet rooms to accommodate the number of people. I scheduled a wedding reception dinner for 25 people at 330pm before they opened. 91 is back!! I ate here with my family and it was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Megan was the hostess and she was so incredibly kind! My husband ordered the pork chop feature with the curry aioli and ate every bite. For apps we ordered meatballs and buff shrimp which I highly recommend both. We snuck bites of our Son's pizza and to be totally honest it was some of the best wood fired pizza I've had. I had the Tuscan Chicken which was absolutely delish. We were too full to eat dessert but I recommend saving room bc the table next to us did and they looked insane! I can't believe we haven't been here in all the years I've lived in this area. Now that covid has hindered our concerts, vacations and other weekend activities we have been trying local restaurants, this one was FANTASTIC. Anthony our server was knowledgeable on the menu and suggestions, fast with our drinks, and the food was cooked to perfection. This is upscale dining without the upscale pricing, I got the kabob with the fresh steamed green beans, meat was tender, flavorful and the vegetables were so fresh. This was our second visit to this location. The service is great, the menu has nice array of options and the have a nice pizza menu made in their wood fired oven. The restaurant is nice and cozy and I love the open kitchen concept. We ordered the bacon candy, it was crispy, sweet with a hint of spice. Next we tried their oven roasted Brussels, they were tender and very flavorful. We also tried their primavera pizza (red sauce, spinach, mushrooms and zucchini). It was a nice twist on a veggie pizza. We also tried one of their nightly special pizza which had pesto shrimp and fresh basil. It was outstanding. The chef also went out of his way to make my wife a roasted Brussels and linguine pasta dish that was off menu. It was fantastic! Decided last minute to go out to eat here for my wife's upcoming birthday. We were told that it would be a 15 minute wait if we did not have a reservation. The dinning room was half empty and when I went online there were available reservations at that time....poor service on not wanting to seat those that just walked in. We went here for the first time. My wife had the strip steak and I had the chicken. Both meals were four star, but the service was not good. My wife's dinner came out incorrect, which the manager fixed quickly. After we had ordered, we never saw our waiter again, until he brought us the check. He never checked on us, or refilled our drinks. When he asked if everything was good, my wife said it was fine after her order was corrected. He said it was all the kitchen's fault. We were pleased to see all of the effort put into separation and sanitization. In fact, we both felt the new booth separators made our dinning experience even more private and cozy. Sorry if this is a duplicate. I posted a review yesterday but the post has vaporized. I went to the location Washington Square. The interior is nice, the drink selection is good, the shaved Brussels sprouts were excellent, the mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery and lightly salted. My friend had the chicken Marsala and said the chicken breast was very moist. However this restaurant lost 1 star for their presentation of a steak that was ordered "Pittsburgh." As soon as the waiter brought it, I immediately said "that doesn't look Pittsburgh", and he replied that it usually came "a little darker". I realized from this that neither the server nor kitchen knew what it meant. The steak in the picture (taken in the to-go container after I got it home in good lighting) looks like it was put in a frying pan with a little water in it then covered and steamed then browned slightly near the end. While the inside was very rare as expected, the sides of the meat looked gray from the steam/water, you can see the red on the end of the steak, and it was completely missing the hallmark Pittsburg sear that adds that smokey, charred flavor. That unique Pittsburg combination of smokey char on the outside with a pristine ultra-rare center is incredible when done correctly (provided you're a fan of very rare steak). The steak served to me was a huge miss and visually scary. A decent head chef would have never let this plate leave the kitchen, nor would a well-experienced server placed this in front of a customer and been so nonchalant at their reaction. It was an excellent cut of meat but a horrible fail by the kitchen to produce anything even slightly resembling Pittsburg style. The second star taken was because the service staff all emptied in to the back of house to do their side work and just left 3 tables in the front to be ignored. Our to-go order sat on the counter in front of the open kitchen until we finally got the hostess's attention to bring it to us. Up until that point the staff had been friendly and attentive. Overall not badly priced for a mid-tier restaurant. The strip was 29, which isn't bad. However I will say this place aspires to be a better restaurant than it currently is. It has definite potential, as long as you don't order your steak Pittsburg. read more

This place is located in a strip mall. When your GPS announces that you have arrived turn into the shopping center by Giant Eagle and then drive the length of the strip to find 91 around the end corner. This location makes the patio quieter, as while it is adjacent to the parking lot the only cars coming back here are those for 91. You notice an attention to detail as soon as you go to open the doors, the handles of which are a big "91." The 91 theme is continued inside with the numbers acting as curtain pull backs and being drizzled with sweet balsamic vinegar into the oil served with the bread. Service was fast, but we did arrive exactly at 5pm which is when 91 opens on a Saturday. By the time we left the place was full (with homecoming high schoolers mostly), but our waiter remained cheerful and attentive throughout. Once our waiter discovered it was our first time at 91 he offered us lots of information on the dishes, describing their presentation and telling us his favorites. He was very personable and welcoming. The menu isn't massive, but there is quite a diverse selection of specialties from pizza to pastas and seafood options. By the menu it is sort of hard to get a feel for what the place's true identity is, but that didn't influence the food in any negative way. I ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and my guest had a burger. We split a side of Brussel sprouts. The salmon was sweet, but not overwhelmingly. It was coated lightly in a brown sugar rub and tossed with toasted almonds and served with a side of pesto rice pilaf. The burger, Greg's Bar Burger, came cooked to the requested temperature and was served on a grilled pretzel bun. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and appeared to be served with some nuts and Craisins as well. You can make a Yelp reservation for this restaurant! I recommend you do. read more

Messed up on a take out order. Order had no chicken or mushrooms on the take out pizza at all .. lots of garlic & salt. Before the gave it to me they let me know they had baked it instead of givi f me one to be baked at home. Even though- they had comped the order, I wish the would have just said we will keep it. I tipped the gal who took the order anyway; even though clearly the manger had not had the opportunity to train her well on how to enter the order into their order system properly at all.
