I chose J & B Carpets as my first choice based on their location and reviews. The first thing I did though was check to see if they could accommodate a quick turnaround time. Mom had already mostly emptied the room and wanted to move things back into the room for us to come visit. Again she is 87. I did not want her to have to do this twice and it was obvious she was stressed. I spoke with Vikki from J & B Carpets and she assured me that they could do the job within a couple days of placing an order. My mother visited J & B Carpets on a Friday afternoon and selected an in stock carpet. The room was measured on Saturday morning. They installed the carpet on Monday!!!! Mom is thrilled with the carpet! Her granddaughter who is now staying there assures me the carpet is soft, well-padded and beautiful. The price was very reasonable and the customer service is excellent. I am so happy I sent my mom there and not to some big box store where she would be just another number. I recently had 770 square feet of tile replaced by Flooring Source. While the in-store tile…read moreselection experience was smooth and painless, the installation process was a completely different story. I was originally told that the tear-out and installation would take a maximum of four days. Based on that, I scheduled installation to begin on a Monday, expecting everything to be done by Thursday--or Friday at the latest in case of demo issues. However, I received a call the Friday before asking if they could start the next day. This unexpected change forced me to scramble to adjust hotel reservations at the last minute. The crew completed the demo on Day 1 and came back briefly on Day 2 (for only a couple of hours) to finish demo and prep. Then on Monday, the installers assured me everything would be done in just a couple of days. In reality, it took five full days to complete the install because staff were pulled to another emergency job. There were also several serious issues during the install: They reinstalled my washer without turning the water back on or reconnecting the drain hose. I had to fix it myself and clean up the resulting water mess--thankfully I caught it before major damage occurred. My dishwasher was not secured back in place, and it tipped forward when I opened it. Fortunately, the crew was still on-site and able to correct it. Their tools stained my bedroom carpet. Because of the delays and mishandling, I had to spend additional money on hotels, meals, and cleaning. The lack of professionalism and poor communication throughout the process left me extremely disappointed. I would not recommend Flooring Source for installation services. The product selection is great, but the install experience cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress.

I first checked on Facebook for recommendations and their company was highly recommended. I had put in for a consult and within minutes I got an e-mail to set us up for a measurement. We then went into the office and picked out carpet first. We put in our order back in June. After ordering that, we found some vinyl we liked and ordered it mid-July while awaiting the carpet. The carpet was taking forever to be delivered, with multiple delays. We actually received our vinyl before the carpet was ever delivered. Finally, come beginning of August we reached out to Cranmore again, as we had not heard about the carpet and it had already been almost 2 months since we initially ordered it. We heard back from the company, that they would make it right. They gave us a discount and upgraded us to a better carpet that they had in stock since they weren't able to tell us when ours would be delivered. The end result was the vinyl, and carpet looks amazing, and we are very happy with it. We understand things happen out of their control, but in the end they made it right.

They used a series of independent contractors (no employees) to complete our work which was shotty to say the least. All grout lines are inconsistent, edging is off on many places, and floor sloping is not right. Tiffany never called to check in and Art never answers or returns a call (only texts), and they didn't even bother to come see the completed work either. Had they bothered to come look at completed product they would've see a yard full of tile fragments/trash and white spray from tile saw all over the yard since they didn't tarp. They left all the boxes from tile sitting in side yard, their lunch drinks and trash on our bathroom counters, and drips of grout/mortar stuff everywhere. And finally they threw a bag of leftover grout over the wall since they didn't want to bother opening the gate. So I spent hours cleaning up and will have to wait for a ton of rain for my yard to ever look okay again. I have to paint the walls around the project from them needing to hire a drywall expert and deal with a final result that, being very generous is okay. I would never recommend them to anyone and would actually highly recommend using anyone else.

We dropped into the showroom to see backsplash options. Lisa/owner was very friendly and great showing us options/answering questions and providing us grout and tile samples to take home and view there. Matt/Owner, later came out to give us an estimate and confirm what we were thinking. Matt answered any questions and measured and provided us an estimate before he left. Of course we already had chosen what tile we wanted by this time. Matt came when he said he would and installation began when he told me. Some other options I explored, I had to independently figure out installation. Which took a long time trying to get find someone or get someone to get back to me. Floors n More was also competitive on price, compared to other quotes we got. What we liked was they could give us a firm date on install. They also said they would work with us on installation. The amount of rooms we were doing, was going to be a challenge on moving out furniture/clothing/etc. Some other companies, said we had to have all rooms cleared out before they began. We were able to cycle through rooms, that made it more manageble to accomplish. We liked that Floors n More have their own people that do the work. Ramone/installer, arrived on time. He was very courtious/efficient/cleaned up at the end of the day/listened to any questions or concerns we had. He accomplished our job in a week. Floors N More was great to work with. Matt, the owner, was extremely attentive throughout the process--he checked in with me regularly and even sent progress photos along the way, which I really appreciated. His crew was polite, efficient, and worked quickly without leaving any downtime between steps, from sanding to laying the floors to installing the baseboards. One thing I really value is that they stood by their work. After the main job was complete, they came back promptly to fix small areas that needed attention, such as caulking and a few misaligned nails in the baseboards. The finished floors are smooth, level, and feel wonderful to walk on. One critique would be the pattern of how the planks were laid. In some areas, the seams line up in a way that feels a bit repetitive, and I would have preferred more variation in the staggered pattern. That said, the quality of the workmanship and customer service was excellent, and I would happily recommend Matt and his team to anyone looking to have their floors done.
