This pizza place is where 511 Pizza used to be. I love trying new pizza places, as you never know what you're gonna get, and I love being pleasantly surprised! This was not one of those times, unfortunately. The workers were nice, but the pizza wasn't anything special. At least the restaurant looked clean. I would have better liked to simply go to Mountain Mike's, despite this location being closer to me. I wish the pizza was crisper, I wish it had more meat as described, and I wish the tasted better. 3/5 for kind, fast service but for lackluster pizza. Maybe I made the wrong pizza choice? I'll never know since I won't be returning. read more

If you haven't tried 916 Brick Oven Pizza yet, you are seriously missing out! We tried it for the first time last night. We ordered a classic Combo and a Hawaiian pizza, but we added jalapeños to the Hawaiian. That sweet, savory, and spicy flavor combination was absolutely perfect. The absolute highlight of the night was the crust. The dough is an absolute showstopper. The way he toasted it in the brick oven gives it the perfect char, crispiness, and chew. Lived in the area for a long time, and I've seen a lot of pizza places come and go from this location, but decided to give 916 Pizza a try, and wow it was amazing. Definitely my favorite pizza in the area, I loved everything down to the crust and the ranch. Idk how long they have been here, but I always thought with all the different names I've seen on the building that none of them would be good. This spot has quickly become our families favorite pizza place. We tried the garlic chicken this time and it was fire! The owner is a really nice and friendly guy. The pizza dough is some of the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy fluffy and a little chew. The red sauce is absolutely delicious and everything has just the right amount of toppings. It's a little out of the way for us but 100% worth the drive. read more

I've ordered from here twice now, and I'm officially obsessed with their pizza. The crust is AMAZING!! Seriously some of the best pizza I've had in a while. Beautiful pizzas. This is the type of pizza people from cities look for. The dough is light, airy and crispy. Yet, it also has enough chew. I got two 12" pies: Margherita and Quattro Formaggi. Most, if not all, of their pizzas come topped with a sprinkling of freshly grated parmesan cheese. I tried their ranch, and it's very good. It's on the thin side, so it might not be for you if you like it thicker and gloppy. I'd say don't do delivery unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. I did that and regret not just picking up. I also read in a local article that these guys are brothers and they're from Italy. Very cool. I recommend trying this place if you love good quality pizza. read more

It was the holiday known as "pizza Friday" that happens 52 times a year, and we happened to be visiting the in-laws in Orangevale. When we're away from home, we try to get pizza that is local to the area. Nothing more local than a pizza place named after the Sacramento area code. I've only been trying to memorize my husband's phone number for 8 years! I called at 6 pm, and it was easy to place an order over the phone. They said it'd be ready for pickup in 15-20 minutes, which was fantastic: that's exactly the duration of time it would take for us to drive to Citrus Heights. As we drove over, my husband showed me the streets his high school friends lived on, commented on the stop signs and speed bumps that are there now but weren't there before, and noted that the 916 Pizza location used to be a Hollywood Video location. The store was nicely decorated, including cool art and a leather couch, and the service was friendly. The pizza was delicious and the ingredients tasted particularly fresh. The family ate most of it that night, but we took one slice home, and it was still delicious reheated two days later. Highly recommend! read more

We recently discovered that this place was under new ownership for the last few years so we gave it another shot. We've ordered from here 3 times already and have been surprised every time by how amazing the pizza is. It is seriously my favorite pizza spot now. When it comes to comfort food my go to favorite is Pizza, I came across 916 Pizza while looking for a local place to eat. The place is small but very clean, the atmosphere fresh and yet not overbearing. The pizza was delicious, cooked in an old school wood fire oven, the crust was was light and had just the right crunch, not too saucy , I ordered a sausage and a cheese pizza, nothing fancy but a great staple to try a new place. Bottom line the pizza was fantastic, just like the old school pizza found in the Italian neighborhoods. Congratulations Nick, you've won over a new customer. Can't wait for my next visit. read more

Incredible. I grew up in Queens in NYC. I've lived all over and try to not keep such high standards for every pizza place because I can't expect pizza to be as good outside of NY/NJ. This place was one of the very rare instances since living in California where I felt like I was back east. Thin, crispy, yeasty crust. Perfect cheese to sauce ratio. Great pizza. Too notch cheese dough and fresh ingredients. Can't wait to go back. When you pick up a slice and it flops like 95% of pizza out there it's all about the oven being hot enough which is really rare. I worked in the pizza business for years and we made our dough from scratch cut produce fresh made our own sauce with fresh spices. Made our own sausage with fennel and sliced meats of high-quality. You might miss this place just driving by but you better turn around! On the outside it's not much but this pizza is home made and high quality. The pizza is crispy on the bottom and perfectly cheesy when you pull it apart. The flavor from this pizza is why I keep going back. The service was also great I walked in and was immediately greeted. Alright, so they made this Yelp for their business a couple days after my original review (that's over at the pervious pizza places shop but who cares about that) and since I stated I'd make a more in-depth sort of review on this place when they did have it, I better not break my promise to do so. Ahem ahem ahem. I'm an avid pizza lover and i'm here to say that 916 Pizza is spectacular in a major way. There's so many pizza joints around that make mediocre pizzas that you can easily buy from a grocery store. This pizza place is not like any of those places. The food is always so vibrant with its flavors, consistent with its thin crust that's NEVER burnt to a crisp that truly remind me of family members of mine who where quite the food critics whom were also pizza snobs. I can't say enough good things about the food, and I have to comment that the two guys who work there are very hospitable and friendly, it's a place one can find comfort in any time of day and not feel bogged down by the food or the company. As I said in my previous yelp review, I still wholeheartedly recommend the Vegetarian, their BOMB ASS tiramisu, scrumptious lava cake and (since I had just left said joint as I'm writing this ) the 916 Special is another highlight of theirs you should try. I think I may have found my new favorite NY style pizza in the Roseville/Citrus Heights area. The pizza reminded me of a great New York slice, with a thin crust pizza that had just the right chew and crispness. It's one of the tastiest pizzas I've had in the area. My only suggestion would be to offer a 20-inch XL pizza. In my opinion, New York-style pizza is m best when it's made as a giant pie. Overall, an outstanding pizza, and I'll definitely be ordering again. read more
