We ordered a classic Combo and a Hawaiian pizza, but we added jalapeños to the Hawaiian. That sweet, savory, and spicy flavor combination was absolutely perfect. The absolute highlight of the night was the crust. The dough is an absolute showstopper. The way he toasted it in the brick oven gives it the perfect char, crispiness, and chew. Beautiful pizzas. This is the type of pizza people from cities look for. The dough is light, airy and crispy. Yet, it also has enough chew. I got two 12" pies: Margherita and Quattro Formaggi. Most, if not all, of their pizzas come topped with a sprinkling of freshly grated parmesan cheese. I tried their ranch, and it's very good. It's on the thin side, so it might not be for you if you like it thicker and gloppy. I'd say don't do delivery unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. I did that and regret not just picking up. I also read in a local article that these guys are brothers and they're from Italy. Very cool. I recommend trying this place if you love good quality pizza. read more

It was the holiday known as "pizza Friday" that happens 52 times a year, and we happened to be visiting the in-laws in Orangevale. When we're away from home, we try to get pizza that is local to the area. Nothing more local than a pizza place named after the Sacramento area code. I've only been trying to memorize my husband's phone number for 8 years! I called at 6 pm, and it was easy to place an order over the phone. They said it'd be ready for pickup in 15-20 minutes, which was fantastic: that's exactly the duration of time it would take for us to drive to Citrus Heights. As we drove over, my husband showed me the streets his high school friends lived on, commented on the stop signs and speed bumps that are there now but weren't there before, and noted that the 916 Pizza location used to be a Hollywood Video location. The store was nicely decorated, including cool art and a leather couch, and the service was friendly. The pizza was delicious and the ingredients tasted particularly fresh. The family ate most of it that night, but we took one slice home, and it was still delicious reheated two days later. Highly recommend! read more

The place is small but very clean, the atmosphere fresh and yet not overbearing. The pizza was delicious, cooked in an old school wood fire oven, the crust was was light and had just the right crunch, not too saucy , I ordered a sausage and a cheese pizza, nothing fancy but a great staple to try a new place. You might miss this place just driving by but you better turn around! On the outside it's not much but this pizza is home made and high quality.
