The amount of toppings we got was insane! We went during happy hour which is from 8pm - 10pm and a large pizza came out to be about $15. I thought that was a steal for the size and amount of food we got. Pizza was delicious and I loved the green onions they put on top. The pizza we decided to get was half Hawaiian and half garlic chicken. Both were really yummy. Only thing to note is that it's kind of in a sketchy area.

Large cheese 2 topping - Sausage and red onion.

Thin sauce, skimpy toppings and pre-baked crust (like you buy at a store). This was a large 2 topping... some pieces only had 1 piece of sausage and some had none.

On Sunday the 22nd my daughter and I attended a birthday party for the twins I nanny at Defy Sacramento and this was the pizza they had out for kids and parents. I had both the Pepperoni and Cheese and thought the pizza was decent, slices are small so kids can finish a whole slice, me 3 to get satisfied ha ha! I would try them in the near future to see more of their menu choices, the kids devoured all 3 pizza boxes! Support this small, local family business!

I'll start my review off by saying that I got a flyer in the mail for a free large three topping pizza for my birthday. The first thing I thought is okay what's the catch well I sat on the coupon until almost the end of the month and I decided to turn it in and see what happens. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a real nice gal and I showed her my coupon thinking she was going to tell me I had to buy something and said oh happy birthday what would you like on your pizza.. needless to say I ordered a pepperoni sausage and Olive, the pizza was extremely fresh the dough was great, toppings were average or above, and as you can see the mozzarella cheese was definitely fresh and real stringy which I love. The sauce was good however it wasn't the best I've ever had. Overall my experience was great and as you'll see on their price menu they're fairly inexpensive for a good pizza. A large three topping at Round table would cost you 40 bucks. I like the free Pizza coupon I got which gave me an opportunity to try them and I will absolutely be back to try their other things. I guess her potato skins are made from scratch so I'll have to give those a try..

Ordered for delivery. Delivered 30 mins before stated time via GrubHub. Super happy because i was starving! Ordered a medium Garlic chicken pizza, kept all ingredients as is. I think i would add tomato chunks next time. Staff also included two containers of ranch, napkins and plates! Awesome delivery experience. Overall pizza was delish and packed with flavor.

Food service ambience I saw an order the Chef Todd prepared for the lady B at the cellular joint... it looked like pizza ecstasy I needed it(mm mm mm I thought) as I waited briefly after asking my man 'wwhaat is this' what was that I saw you made for the cell phone lady B ?"" He replies with a smile... it was a special I got you covered I waited mouth watering in anticipation and he speaks from the kitchen to the extremely well shaped cashier "look at that now that's a pizza" I was sooo excited I couldn't wait it was the presentation and smell the joyous welcome it reminded me of some of the best pizza known to man, the Pizza Joint we used to manufacture delicacies in Oak Park formerly Nicole's books now Boss Market and boy I tell ya' this is a meal I truly thank God Almighty for.. the cashier applied a discount the could cooked and embraced us with love... Chanel will you marry me I hope to enjoy the good life like this for the long term for real this pizza joint is a special place for us they are gonna have to cook this special recipe at our wedding BABE www.facebook.com/BetaAlphaBetaSigma I am so happy ecstatic satisfied this Pizza PLEASURE ~P~ I give this Hot Stone Pizza a 10x*

How in the world did Hot Stone not get on my pizza radar! My vet is next door and I noticed a teenager coming out the door one day with a frat party amount of pizza pies so I asked had she tasted Hot Stone before. She replied that Hot Stone was her second favorite pizza shop in town so I was doubly sold by then. We ordered hot wings which were huge and juicy. Settled on a combo pizza with half combination and half chicken garlic on thin crust. Nice and hot, chock full of toppings, perfect crunch, service with parm and crushed red pepper on the side. I grew up in the Bay Area on Roundtable Pizza and Hot Stone was a near match in taste but much larger slices. Will definitely order again, there are a few other pies we'd like to try. Good, friendly customer service.

I've been to Italy--including Sicily--more times than most people have left California, and my…read morepartner even holds an Italian birth certificate. With that context, we don't take Italian food lightly. That's exactly why Ippolito's Trattoria stands out. Nick, the owner, is there seven days a week. Whether he's running the kitchen like a true master or walking the dining room checking in with guests, his presence is constant. His wife is often by his side, and together they've built something that feels less like a restaurant and more like a family. The staff reflects that--welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm. Now, the food. The chicken parmigiana is massive--easily two meals--and executed perfectly. The chicken is tender, well-seasoned, and balanced. We usually start with calamari or a shared salad, both consistently excellent. I'm especially particular about carbonara, and this is the only place in Sacramento that truly gets it right. No shortcuts. No cream. No smoked bacon. They respect the tradition--using proper ingredients like guanciale or pancetta and incorporating the egg the way it's meant to be. It's easily the best carbonara I've had in years. The arancini are another highlight. If you've ever made them at home, you know the effort involved--this is the real deal. Crispy outside, rich and flavorful inside, and absolutely authentic. The bread is baked fresh daily by Nick, and it shows. The pasta is artisan-quality, also made fresh, and sourced from a trusted local partner. Every detail reflects care and intention. Dessert is not an afterthought here. The tiramisu--made in-house--is flawless. And the cannoli? Outstanding. The shells have the perfect crunch, and the fillings are rich without being overpowering. Even the pizzelle cookies are done right. It's no surprise they've earned recognition, including: Best Italian Restaurant in Sacramento Best Restaurant Overall in Sacramento Beyond the food, Nick is active in the community and gives back, which only adds to the experience. We've enjoyed this place so much that we've chosen them to cater my 60th birthday for 20 very discerning Italian family members--many of whom we've already brought here, all with the same glowing reactions. If there's any criticism to address, it's usually from people saying the food isn't salty or herb-heavy enough. That misses the point. This is balanced, authentic cooking--where ingredients shine without being masked. I've been to Papa Gianni's in Cameron Park dozens of times over the years, and it's a great spot. But when it comes to the Sacramento region, Ippolito's Trattoria is my go-to, without question.

The bruschetta was perfectly crisp and the four different flavors made it a really dynamic appetizer. I was partial to the onion jam beautifully roasted and sweet with the right amount of salt. My wife loved how fresh the herbs were on the pesto topping. Everything was properly seasoned. The carbonara was good, but I'd probably try something else next time. They didn't skimp on the pecorino Romano! It made it a little thicker than I'd usually like, but that's only personal preference. The Ravioli was delicious, spicy with slight crunch of the pine nuts and the cheese combination was a delight. The service was friendly and fast! The place is cute, and lively. It was quickly packed with happy customers. I'd recommend a reservation. Now the cons... they were out of the octopus appetizer I really wanted. No big deal. They didn't have gnocchi on the menu. That made me sad. Either of those I can get over. What I can't get over is that it was SO HOT INSIDE!!! Like sooooooo hot!!!! It ruined my meal and I couldn't even eat desert because I needed to escape the suffocating heat inside. Also, my bad for wanting pasta in 100 degree weather so I won't let it make me take a star away when they deserve it. Maybe I won't go back until fall though.

The inside was pillow-y soft, and when mixed with the salsa verde was full of flavor with a fabulous punch of garlic. The salsa verde could be put over a nice flank steak and it would absolutely kill. That said, the octopus was a bit *too* crispy. I felt I had to really chew to get it down, and I just wanted a nice snappy skin for some textural juxtaposition. For my entree, I got the Bolognese which was definitely full of salt. The pasta was wonderfully thin and bouncy, but I feel the chef may have had an off-day. My friend and I had to down like multiple cups of water with our meal which made it hard to enjoy. Plus, the garlic bread felt like biting into a brick. The inside was quite fluffy and soft, but the crust was simply too crispy. I almost felt like my teeth were going to give way. Honestly, I can't in good faith recommend this place to my friends, so neither would I recommend it to you. (aside from the pasta classes)

We received our bread and appetizer, but then we waited...and waited. As the restaurant filled up, we watched table after table receive their meals, eat, and leave while we still had no entrées. The couple next to us arrived about 20 minutes after we did, received their food, sent it back because it wasn't good, got replacement meals, and still finished before we were ever served. Each time we asked about our food, we were simply told, "It's coming," while the staff avoided eye contact. After more than an hour, our food was finally brought out by the owner's son. His explanation was that our steak took a long time to cook. That's simply not believable. A steak doesn't take over an hour to prepare, especially when every other table around us had already been served. I would have respected an honest explanation far more than an obvious excuse. To make matters worse, the steak was thin, overcooked, chewy, and cold by the time it reached the table. The quality was nowhere near what we've come to expect from this restaurant. I told the owner's son that I was more upset about the dishonest explanation than the delayed food. We've been loyal customers and planned to keep coming back, but honesty and accountability matter. Instead of acknowledging what happened, the owner came out, pointed his finger in my face, and became defensive because I called out the excuse his son gave. Rather than apologizing or trying to make the situation right, he escalated it into an unnecessary confrontation. Everyone makes mistakes. Kitchens get backed up. Orders get lost. Customers are generally understanding when businesses are honest and take responsibility. What I can't overlook is being misled and then treated disrespectfully when I questioned it. Unfortunately, this was the worst dining experience we've ever had here, and unless the owners learn how to handle problems with honesty and professionalism, I can't recommend this restaurant.

Crazy I say this as I was in a serious relationship once with an Italian lol. I know I sound like a miserable wretched human being, but its quite ubiquitous and a lot of it is not too hard to make. But I do like a good pizza and there are Italian dishes I like (ones I cannot make like Sardinian wild boar or squid ink pasta). First, this dining room is gorgeous, the bar space is really nice. Saw a handsome gent in a nice suit sitting at the bar, which was a nice accessory to an already elegant and dare I say sexy bar? I had a drink here and then our party moved to a table when everyone arrived. My colleague did us the favor and ordered some antipasti dishes for us and made good choices. The carpaccio was great (and I loved the grana padano cheese - one that I can have) and also enjoyed the tartara di tonno - which is seared ahi tuna. Both with copious amounts of arugula (my favorite). Great choices as I love raw anything that's well made. Since it was Tuesday, one of my colleagues ordered the pasta trio which is a special for Tuesdays. No idea if it was any good, but colleague cleaned the plate. My other colleague ordered the risotto (which looked great and I love risotto and can make it myself), large portion size and she had a good portion leftover for another meal. I had the branzino in crosta. The portion size for my dish was ridiculous. Fish was decent, but I have had better (in Italy fresh caught). Rooted veggies were probably my favorite (I'm a rabbit and love veggies) and the grilled polenta was so-so. My colleagues ordered panna cotta al limone and it was excellent. I am used to a denser consistency panna cotta and this one was lighter one but well made. I love limoncello or anything with lemons, so this was just lovely. There is only one kind of tiramisu (more pudding style) I like which is made by North Italia and the one here likely was the traditional tiramisu so I declined to get dessert. Overall, a very good choice for a business dinner. Food was good. I deducted one star because I am not much into chain restaurants and prefer to support mom and pop type places. I deducted another star because the service was so SLOW...I think the New Yorker in me just doesnt have much patience, but it does seem the cadence here was a different speed I am used to. I'd definitely return to have a few cocktails at the bar, and come back for their HH specials too. This location is in a beautiful setting and I'd come back just to sit at the bar and quietly ogle which cutie might show up...
