I don't know whether Interstate Tire is a good shop. I took my vehicle there on a Saturday hoping to talk to someone. Their web site says they are open until 2pm on Saturday. So does the sign on their front door, which was locked at noon on Saturday. I called the number listed on their website and there was no answer. Not even a way to leave a message. I emailed the address on their website. No answer. There was a car parked outside, the air conditioner was on, and the lights were on in the shop. I tried for over two hours to get ahold of someone at Interstate Tire. Several other customers came by while I was there, also expecting them to be open. What kind of business is this? I ended up going somewhere else. read more

My "check engine" light came on just as I was driving on I-17 Camp Verde. We found Interstate Tire and Auto online, and saw they were open on Saturday morning. The mechanic was able to use the diagnostic computer on my car, checked the fluids, and asked me a few questions. He determined the engine light was not urgent, so he reset it. He asked me to get it checked out ASAP if it came on again. I was back on the road in 15 minutes with much more peace of mind. I appreciated that he was honest and did not take advantage of me! I would recommend Interstate Tire and Auto to any travelers who found themselves stranded on I-17. read more

My car broke down on the way from Phoenix to Flagstaff. I was hesitant to use a shop I was not familiar with, but a tow was going to cost $250. I had my car towed to them, and I was more then 100% satisfied. Jocelyn was amazing to work with, and the mechanic was friendly, HONEST, and had it fixed before expected. The price they quoted me was exactly what I paid, and then they honored a coupon that was presented at the last minute. I highly recommend them and will be happy to drive the extra 60 miles to take my vehicles here in the future. read more

I call these small miracles serendipitous. So my BMW's battery light indicator went on then coolant indicator light, somewhere in the mountains between Sedona and Cottonwood. She pushes through and makes it to Cottonwood barely. I meet a fellow who happens to work for a towing company, Eric, at the gas station where I landed (even though he was with his adorable wife and beautiful baby boy he went beyond out of his way to help). Eric calls a fellow he works with, Chris, owner of Interstate Tire N Auto. After about an hour Chris and his most lovely wife and dog who were well on their way home up the mountain do a turn around and arrive. He assesses the problem (a problem that if didn't require parts from Phoenix, he would have taken care of right there and then, that very evening!) and just before 8pm calls for parts in Phoenix. (It just kept on getting better for a not so good situation!) He then refers me back to Eric who by the way tells me "it's all about helping people and customer service" for a tow to his shop. Chris gave me his word he'd have me back on the road by the following day. Hector comes to pick me up also driving an hour down the mountain to get to me, makes sure I get back safely to my hotel, fed and all (so kind!) and low and behold Chris got me back on the road that very next day, a Saturday, starting the job before 8am (driving to Phoenix for the part) and having me out by midday. Are you kidding me!!!! Great price, great service, he was not going to let me get stuck in the desert on me way back to Southern Cali...no way, no how! Chris was a rockstar! Thank you Chris cheers! We were coming down from Flagstaff when the check engine light and the reduce engine power message came on. That is the worst feeling when you are not close to home and your "trusted" mechanic. A couple people had recommended Interstate Tire and Auto and we were able to get the truck towed over late in the afternoon. Chris had an idea of what the problem was and diagnosed/confirmed the issue the next day. Chris charged the fair price and has a loyal customer in the future. read more

Today one of our tires went flat on I-17 about 30 miles outside of Campe Verde. I Yelped tire repair and Interstate Tire & Auto came up. I called and James answered at 8 am when they opened. He said come on in - we're not too busy. When our family arrived James met us and we immediately pulled around to the back of the shop. Our entire Durango was loaded with vacation items as we just started our spring break. We unloaded everything on the driveway and James helped. He was super friendly and clearly cared about our situation. He fixed our flat tire patching the inside and plugging the outside in about 30 minutes. I got to know a little bit about him and can tell he's a real good father to his daughters and cares a lot about the company and those who come in the door. What could have been a really crummy way to start a vacation with a lot of delay turned out to be a blessing, meeting a new friend and super reasonable for the work James did.
