Service was fast. We weren't expecting to eat out, so we ordered to go. The food smells AMAZING, and it passes the eye test. Though for the price, I think the portions were small. I ordered a veal parm and my wife ordered the penne ala vodka, minus prosciutto. That ran us $49+, and that was given to us with no bread, no drinks. Update: we went back last night and the food was delicious again. However, service was not great! We did not get greeted by a server until 20 mins into sitting. People kept walking past us but no server acknowledged us. I know they did try to rectify the issue afterwards with offering additional bread & asked how everything was multiple times. Aldo introduced himself and greeted us like we were regulars, so special!! Bella promptly met us at the table!! So sweet and very informative about the menu! She was so passionate explaining everything to us, with great detail!! We started with Burratta pepperoni arrosto E, it was so fresh and creamy. The tomatoes were vine ripened with the basil so large and crisp (that is the best choice for words, so good I'm basically at a loss for words) we wanted to order more but held off because we knew the entrée was next. We ordered 3 specials, one was Ragu Napolitano and two seabass with picada(one with pasta, the other with veggies) Fourth entrée was spaghetti and meatballs. See photos of all! We saved room for dessert and ordered two to share. One was a must as they were fresh made éclairs (and I think a one night only treat, sorry peeps) they were decadent! New to the area and have been there twice. The Veal Parm was amazing and I love the sauce. We had the barata dish as an app and it was so so. The problem is the service. This place is tiny, the 2nd time there there was 3 customers and 2 waitresses so you would think they would be on top of everything but NO. This is the 2nd time after the meal I waited almost 15 minutes to get the dam check. We were going to get desert but didn't want to wait another 30 minutes. The chef/owner is super friendly and will come out to your table to check on you and tell a story or joke to provide a wonderful atmosphere. This isn't Olive Garden so I recommend getting a bottle of wine and enjoy yourself because the food is made from scratch. My husband and I recently dined here and while the food itself was satisfactory, I have to express my disappointment with their pricing practices. When we received the bill, we noticed discrepancies between the prices listed on the menu and the amounts charged favoring the restaurant, Of course. The waitress could not explain why and then the manager said that it was an error in the system and that there was a price for paying with card and paying with cash. Apparently the bill we got was for paying with card even though they didn't know how we're were planning on paying and nowhere in the menu or the bill was it explained that there would be an up charge for paying with card. While the food quality was decent, the discrepancy in pricing left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a more honest and fair experience. read more

Chef Aldo has amazing authentic Italian food. Not only do they have the normal Italian favorites like bucatini, parmesan, puttanesca, veal but also have authentic Italian dishes like tripe and smelt. Most authentic Italian restaurant in the area. Service was fast, thoughtful and responsive if anything was missing. The restaurant is small, but cozy. Wine list is also authentic with their choices.
