My fiancé and I have been regulars at the Salted Goat for over a year and we cannot recommend this place enough! We come here minimum once a week. The food, the service and the quality here is top tier so I'm here to break them down for you. THE FOOD I love knowing we support a local family owned business and also the local farms they buy from. For the quality and care put into the menu, the prices are absolutely more than reasonable. The menu also changes so there are always new things to try including yummy desserts! We've had quite a lot on the menu and a few of our favorites include: the brisket smash burger, the build your own chicken/burger, the Tuscan piggy pasta, onion bahji, the steak bruschetta flatbread, the caprese, chicken and waffles, the third best breakfast sandwich (yes that's the name), the sweet crepes, the Argentinian reds and probably more I can't think of right now. THE SERVICE Everyone here is amazing. I think everyone has waited on us at least once and we always have a wonderful experience. We typically are waited on by Mandi - shout out to her for always being so lovely and accommodating! One time for my graduation, they allowed my fiancé to come in the day prior to set up balloons as a surprise for our table when I walked in. They are always going above and beyond. I often brings out of town friends and family here and they are always impressed. I can't have dairy and will sometimes forget to remove cheese, but they never forget even when I do. They are friendly, attentive and overall amazing. THE ENVIRONMENT You choose a table that is comfortable for where and what you want rather than being seated. It's a casual and comfortable environment, no judgement zone. I've come in wearing a dress and heels after my graduation to celebrate with family, dressed up for New Year's Even dinner and I've also come in wearing sweatpants and t-shirt or workout attire. That's what makes this place great, you can be yourself and enjoy delicious farm to table food. It's always clean and they play great music. What a gem. We found this place on the way out of Orlando and were pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in, to the recommendations on what to order, to chatting about what we'll try next time, the staff was wonderful. We arrived just before noon and were able to grab a table inside, though the patio looked like a fun option as well. I went with the brisket bánh mì, the Mrs. had the papa rellena, and our son chose the traditional eggs and bacon. Each meal was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and portioned just right. I was reluctant to drive past The Salted Goat on the way to Blue Springs, and swung in with my family for lunch on the way home. It was a Saturday, and had a brunch menu, but I opted for a regular lunch. Ample seating outside and inside. The service was a bit slow, and food took quite some time, but I feel like thats a hit or miss with all restaurants, and could just be that one time. The menu itself has some really great options so it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering the clam chowder. It had a really nice flavor and really enjoyed it, not too many clams though. For my entree I ordered the bulgogi bahn mi.... And I get it "salted" is part of the name of this restaurant, but it was so so salty, almost inedible salty-. Lovely Easter Brunch on the Patio We came here for Easter brunch and had a really nice experience. I called about 45 minutes before arriving just to see if there was any chance we could get a table. They mentioned they were only taking reservations that day but were kind enough to squeeze us in for 1:30, which worked out perfectly. Raven was our waitress and she was wonderful. Super welcoming, friendly, and attentive the whole time without ever feeling overbearing. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad and the steak and eggs, and of course we had to order mimosas (two each... because brunch ). Everything came out fresh and tasty. One small personal preference, and this might just be me, but I would have liked the Caesar salad lettuce to be chopped a bit smaller instead of the larger pieces. Not a deal breaker at all, just something I noticed. The steak was cooked well. I wouldn't say it was the best steak I've ever had, but it was definitely good. What really stole the show for me was the chimichurri sauce. I could honestly eat that by itself with the potatoes, it was that good. We sat on the patio and were a little worried it might be too hot, but it was nicely shaded and they have fans going, so it was actually very comfortable. Great spot with a large outdoor patio. They locally source their ingredients - everything from chicken to mushrooms to clams. There is a chalk sign that shouts out all the local farms they source from, which makes going out to brunch feel like a community event. All of our food was fresh and delicious. First time trying out this cute spot in Debary for Valentine's Day brunch. It was a beautiful day and we were able to sit outside and have a relaxing meal on the patio. On Saturday's, they do a bottle of champagne for $20 and it wasn't the cheapest stuff in town! Our server was amazingly helpful, gave great recommendations and helped make our visit special. Everything is true farm to table so the menu rotates. But the dishes we had were divine. We split the savory crepe that was an egg crepe with mash potatoes, sausage and a sage brown butter sauce. I'm a huge fan of steamed clams which they always have, fresh from their own clam farm around Cedar Key. The meatloaf is amazing. Lots of interesting menu items. A great reunion lunch at Salted Goat. We had the artichoke dip with amazing pita triangles for a starter, some wine and cocktails and then we split the Crepe du jour for lunch. The staff here are amazing, as is the farm-to-table fare. On a prior visit I had the Brisket Smash Burger - one of their signature dishes - it's amazing! My husband and I like to tryout new restaurants and heard about the unique offerings at the Salted Goat, so we decided to give them a try. The Salted Goat is at the tail end of a small strip of other businesses in Debary, FL. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating and you're welcomed to choose your own table upon entering. The decor is modern with some kitsch. Our server was friendly but seemed to get a little overwhelmed as the restaurant filled up. As an appetizer, my husband and I ordered the root beer glazed pork belly skewers. The only word I can use to accurately describe them is "gross." The menu described them as "crispy." There were no parts of the dish that were crispy as the pieces were super fatty. My husband could barely swallow his piece of pork and I couldn't at all, so it ended up crumbled up in a napkin. Our server apologized and took the dish away. For our entrees, my husband ordered the meatloaf and I ordered the blackened chicken. We ordered a salad as one of our sides and this was my favorite part of the meal. The lettuce was so fluffy and fresh! My chicken was okay - unevenly seasoned, so some bites were overly salty and others lacked flavor. We both had mashed potatoes accompanying our entrees and had to add salt. I wanted to try one of their desserts: persimmon upside down cake. I had never tried persimmon before nor had I ever seen it on a menu, so I tried it. The cake was overly sweet so I couldn't quite taste persimmon flavor or anything other than sugar but at least it didn't have a "bad" taste. My husband was annoyed that they charged us for the pork belly and the waitress caught his grimace while reviewing the bill, so she consulted with her supervisor who removed the charge for the pork belly as well as for my husband's mocktail. They are using mostly freshly harvested produce, meat raised by local farmers with thw highest standards. That does not come cheap on costs or the time it takes to source these ingredients, yet their prices don't always reflect that. I love their innovative menus and high quality. Every restaurant is struggling to maintain service standards in a tight job market; yet they operate as much like a family as one can. I support them wholeheartedly. read more

BLATANTLY DO NOT CATER TO CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES! If I could give this place a 0 I would, but unfortunately you have to leave 1 star at min. My husband and I have been here on several occasions, loved our experiences, and so much so that we took my mom there for Mother's Day. Every time we went we brought our 5 year old autistic son who hasn't yet mastered drinking out of an open cup and still has issues with plastic glasses with lids. We brought his water bottle as we do to all restaurants we go to. That includes nicer establishments such as Enzo's, Ravenous Pig, Capitol Grille, Cress and then plenty of other middle of the road restaurants in the same category as The Salted Goat. It was always fine until tonight. The server asked us to keep his water bottle off the table because the owner would see it, and it was aesthetically unappealing. Found out page one of the menu changes daily and features local farm to table fare. I got the Pan Seared Duck with a Merlot cherry reduction, with red cabbage and Seminole Pumpkin Puree. Yum!! Very different tastes but delicious!! My friend got the Drunken Piggy Pasta which was sausage and stewed tomato base with a spiced bloody Mary sauce, my sister got the Salmon BLT with no bun, another friend got the Pastrami Reuben and another friend got the Brisket Smash Burger. So glad we found this gem here on yelp. Passing through just to ride bikes on the rail-trail and decided it was time for an early dinner. Plenty of parking. Had to walk past the smoker to get into the restaurant so I figured the meats would be good. All the staff were amazing and genuinely friendly. We felt important! Stop by for dinner with a date, and while the exterior kind of looked like somebody's porch decorated for a tiki party, the staff was extremely and immediately warm and welcoming in the extreme. Our artichoke dip appetizer was excellent, with thick seasoned pita chips, and my reuben sandwich was very good without reinventing the wheel. My date really enjoyed her salmon as well. We topped it off with a chocolate creme brulee thing, which was also very unique and good without being too sweet. I called them as soon as I knew (we were 15 minutes out) and the team was able to put together tables quite quickly with the short notice we gave. Raven was our server and she did amazing, making sure we were all taken care of and gave recommendations. I'm a big fan of LemonHearted Orlando (IYKYK) and she recently posted that one of the best breakfast sandwiches can be found at The Salted Goat in Debary. Turns out, she was absolutely right. I don't remember ever thinking of a breakfast sandwich as "hearty" before but this one is. I arrived just before lunch hour, hungry and desperate for a late breakfast. The sandwich doesn't look MASSIVE, per se, but it's big on FLAVOR. I appreciate that the owner sources her stock from local farms (Support Local!) and that they legit post what farms they source from inside the restaurant. The only other restaurant I've seen do that is The Strand on Mills Avenue (another favorite). I definitely recommend the home fries to go with this delicious sandwich. My server was super friendly and I dug the chill vibes here. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and I bet they are packed here for Sunday brunch. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays but I also like how they change up their menu on the regular to keep their patrons hankering for more. I ordered the Rueben. And I will say it was the best Reuben I have ever eaten, nothing else really mattered because it was so amazing. Got the black beans with my sandwich and was disappointed with the blandness of them because you could see the potential they could have had. My sister ordered a burger with American cheese, tomato and bacon, she got a burger with Colby jack cheese and lettuce tomato and onion on the side. She said it was delicious and cooked perfect. 3 1/2 stars. Started with the Pork Belly Tostadas. The shells were quite hard and flat, with a good pile of sauced pork belly bites and other toppings. A bit too much of a pile, as part of it tipped over and onto the floor when I was biting the shell. Rather mildly flavored. My wife didn't care for her Artichoke Dip, as the dip was extremely chunky with veggies with little sauce holding it together; and the pita points were too soft for her taste. (I thought it was good, and finished it off.) The Reuben was excellent, with a huge portion of meat. Unfortunately, the accompanying Onion Bhaji was blackened. I sent it back, and received a slightly less blackened batch, this time with a nice (BBQ?) dipping sauce. Dessert was a decent French Toast Creme Brulee (mild maple syrup flavor.)
