Lovely Easter Brunch on the Patio We came here for Easter brunch and had a really nice experience. I called about 45 minutes before arriving just to see if there was any chance we could get a table. They mentioned they were only taking reservations that day but were kind enough to squeeze us in for 1:30, which worked out perfectly. Raven was our waitress and she was wonderful. Super welcoming, friendly, and attentive the whole time without ever feeling overbearing. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad and the steak and eggs, and of course we had to order mimosas (two each... because brunch ). Everything came out fresh and tasty. One small personal preference, and this might just be me, but I would have liked the Caesar salad lettuce to be chopped a bit smaller instead of the larger pieces. Not a deal breaker at all, just something I noticed. The steak was cooked well. I wouldn't say it was the best steak I've ever had, but it was definitely good. What really stole the show for me was the chimichurri sauce. I could honestly eat that by itself with the potatoes, it was that good. We sat on the patio and were a little worried it might be too hot, but it was nicely shaded and they have fans going, so it was actually very comfortable. First time trying out this cute spot in Debary for Valentine's Day brunch. It was a beautiful day and we were able to sit outside and have a relaxing meal on the patio. On Saturday's, they do a bottle of champagne for $20 and it wasn't the cheapest stuff in town! Our server was amazingly helpful, gave great recommendations and helped make our visit special. Everything is true farm to table so the menu rotates. But the dishes we had were divine. We split the savory crepe that was an egg crepe with mash potatoes, sausage and a sage brown butter sauce. My husband and I like to tryout new restaurants and heard about the unique offerings at the Salted Goat, so we decided to give them a try. The Salted Goat is at the tail end of a small strip of other businesses in Debary, FL. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating and you're welcomed to choose your own table upon entering. The decor is modern with some kitsch. Our server was friendly but seemed to get a little overwhelmed as the restaurant filled up. As an appetizer, my husband and I ordered the root beer glazed pork belly skewers. The only word I can use to accurately describe them is "gross." The menu described them as "crispy." There were no parts of the dish that were crispy as the pieces were super fatty. My husband could barely swallow his piece of pork and I couldn't at all, so it ended up crumbled up in a napkin. Our server apologized and took the dish away. For our entrees, my husband ordered the meatloaf and I ordered the blackened chicken. We ordered a salad as one of our sides and this was my favorite part of the meal. The lettuce was so fluffy and fresh! My chicken was okay - unevenly seasoned, so some bites were overly salty and others lacked flavor. We both had mashed potatoes accompanying our entrees and had to add salt. I wanted to try one of their desserts: persimmon upside down cake. I had never tried persimmon before nor had I ever seen it on a menu, so I tried it. The cake was overly sweet so I couldn't quite taste persimmon flavor or anything other than sugar but at least it didn't have a "bad" taste. My husband was annoyed that they charged us for the pork belly and the waitress caught his grimace while reviewing the bill, so she consulted with her supervisor who removed the charge for the pork belly as well as for my husband's mocktail. A great reunion lunch at Salted Goat. We had the artichoke dip with amazing pita triangles for a starter, some wine and cocktails and then we split the Crepe du jour for lunch. The staff here are amazing, as is the farm-to-table fare. On a prior visit I had the Brisket Smash Burger - one of their signature dishes - it's amazing! Atmosphere is very bistro style, and family friendly for sure. They even have a kids menu. My son ate his chicken & French fries up- portion was great- leaving enough chicken for lunch the next day. So glad we found this gem here on yelp. Passing through just to ride bikes on the rail-trail and decided it was time for an early dinner. Plenty of parking. Had to walk past the smoker to get into the restaurant so I figured the meats would be good. All the staff were amazing and genuinely friendly. We felt important! Started with an app of steamed clams that were on special. So good my wife said she wanted another order for dessert! No room for dessert. Had 7 of us go for dinner on a Saturday night. Made an online reservation for 6 :30pm. Didn't have to wait. Got seated inside. Each of us ordered a different entree. Found out page one of the menu changes daily and features local farm to table fare. I got the Pan Seared Duck with a Merlot cherry reduction, with red cabbage and Seminole Pumpkin Puree. Yum!! Very different tastes but delicious!! My friend got the Drunken Piggy Pasta which was sausage and stewed tomato base with a spiced bloody Mary sauce, my sister got the Salmon BLT with no bun, another friend got the Pastrami Reuben and another friend got the Brisket Smash Burger. The food was good, they change their menu often so you might want to call before you come to see what they have. The tacos were mid not much flavor. The cowboy poppers were food. The lamb hot pockets were okay the sauce was the only really good thing about it. The ravioli sauce was so good I could have drank it. The deserts were okay. Stop by for dinner with a date, and while the exterior kind of looked like somebody's porch decorated for a tiki party, the staff was extremely and immediately warm and welcoming in the extreme. Our artichoke dip appetizer was excellent, with thick seasoned pita chips, and my reuben sandwich was very good without reinventing the wheel. My date really enjoyed her salmon as well. We topped it off with a chocolate creme brulee thing, which was also very unique and good without being too sweet. We were supposed to go with just two friends, but our party of four turned to a party of 13. I called them as soon as I knew (we were 15 minutes out) and the team was able to put together tables quite quickly with the short notice we gave. Raven was our server and she did amazing, making sure we were all taken care of and gave recommendations. My husband and I enjoyed the goat cheese bruschetta, pastrami hash and Creme brûlée French toast. Everything tasted so good! I'm a big fan of LemonHearted Orlando (IYKYK) and she recently posted that one of the best breakfast sandwiches can be found at The Salted Goat in Debary. Turns out, she was absolutely right. I don't remember ever thinking of a breakfast sandwich as "hearty" before but this one is. I arrived just before lunch hour, hungry and desperate for a late breakfast. The sandwich doesn't look MASSIVE, per se, but it's big on FLAVOR. I appreciate that the owner sources her stock from local farms (Support Local!) and that they legit post what farms they source from inside the restaurant. The only other restaurant I've seen do that is The Strand on Mills Avenue (another favorite). I definitely recommend the home fries to go with this delicious sandwich. My server was super friendly and I dug the chill vibes here. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and I bet they are packed here for Sunday brunch. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays but I also like how they change up their menu on the regular to keep their patrons hankering for more. I ordered the Best F$&@ing Breakfast Sandwich Ever, yes this is the true name of the sandwich. It is served on a Ciabatta bread and was just, well, the Best F$&@ing Breakfast Sandwich Ever! I also ordered the homefries that were cooked to perfection. And of course what is Brunch without an Espresso Martini. My husband ordered the Bulgogi "Banh Mi". He just said "oh my, this is so good". Stopped for lunch with my sister. It's self seating either in or out. One waitress, very personable and friendly just wish she would write down the orders so they would come out correctly. I ordered the Rueben. And I will say it was the best Reuben I have ever eaten, nothing else really mattered because it was so amazing. Got the black beans with my sandwich and was disappointed with the blandness of them because you could see the potential they could have had. My sister ordered a burger with American cheese, tomato and bacon, she got a burger with Colby jack cheese and lettuce tomato and onion on the side. She said it was delicious and cooked perfect. 3 1/2 stars. Started with the Pork Belly Tostadas. The shells were quite hard and flat, with a good pile of sauced pork belly bites and other toppings. A bit too much of a pile, as part of it tipped over and onto the floor when I was biting the shell. Rather mildly flavored. My wife didn't care for her Artichoke Dip, as the dip was extremely chunky with veggies with little sauce holding it together; and the pita points were too soft for her taste. (I thought it was good, and finished it off.) The Reuben was excellent, with a huge portion of meat. Unfortunately, the accompanying Onion Bhaji was blackened. I sent it back, and received a slightly less blackened batch, this time with a nice (BBQ?) dipping sauce. Dessert was a decent French Toast Creme Brulee (mild maple syrup flavor.) A farm-to-table concept restaurant. The food is locally sourced and the menu actively changes. Cathy's service was phenomenal and fun to chat with, sharing local knowledge and information on what we wanted to eat. We started with the bruschetta and were WOWED by the whipped goat cheese but despondent to learn the suppliers had retired! That would be Slow Turtle Farm; a genuine tragedy. We hope The Salted Goat may eventually locate a suitable replacement, because this was possibly one of the best bruschettas either of us has ever enjoyed. My wife chose the savory Huevos Papas Rellenas. The details: sofrito stuffed mashed potatoes are panko breaded then fried. Topped with two sunny side up eggs. Lightly blanketed with jalapeño cheddar hollandaise sauce. Side of black beans. Wife loved her meal. I chose the diabetes route and wasn't disappointed. The two slices of Challah toast were indeed sporting a crispy sugary glaze quite reminiscent of a crème brûlée, a dessert I entirely adore. I added two eggs to offset all the sugar and chose the fruit salad vs home fries (I mean, heck, I already had enough carbs, right? Meh maybe not; to each their own!) The Challah was soaked in vanilla crème brûlée batter and brûléed sugar (heck yeah!) but no clue what type of syrup was provided. Was it regular maple or did it have a flavor, too? I don't know!!!
