A veryy nice associate was genuine and helped me select something for an event I was attending. I ended up buying something that was on sale and I felt I paid a fair price. I like the setup of the store. The signage made it easy fo find what I was looking for. I enjoyed browsing. I am a member of their Loyalist program. I recommend this so you can earn points toward gift cards and receive free shipping on anything you purchase off their website. They also have lots of sales just for members. I like how Bloomingdale's has clothing at all price points.

For some reason, the employee named Jason was serving a guy waiting behind me in line, which was unfair, because I was already waiting for 10 minutes for someone at the checkout. So I don't understand why he chose to serve the guy behind me, and I waited for my turn. I had to look at him for his attention, and he was ignoring me the whole time, and he had an attitude when he was trying to help me with my concern, which I needed to do a return. And all of that pretty much felt like a waste of my time because he direct me to the customer service area. If he actually helped me first because I was in line 1st, I wouldn't have wasted all this time. Jason was absolutely the nastiest human being ever, and he does not live up to Bloomingdale's values. This is the reason why I will never return to Bloomingdale's, that I will be more inclined to go shop at Nordstrom. I don't care if they offer me $25 gift cards, never shopping here again. Jason demonstrated the lowest level of values that Bloomingdale's has.

Manager said that they don't sell worn shoes, but half of the shoes in that store are worn, so before buying anything , people should take a picture and video, otherwise they will make you swallow their damaged merchandise

Today 6/20/26 found one of the item was further discounted on line. I called customer SVC they confirmed I can have a price adjustment at the store. Apparently not at this location. I was informed by the Mgr in a rude way that 15 days is their policy for any exchange, credit and refund. Then the cashier suggested I could take back my transaction to Palm desert 2 1/2 hrs away. I had no intention to return the item only a price adjustment. I offered to repurchase the item back at which she refunded me the amount I paid and come back to repurchase it. This rude behavior discouraged me to return ever to this store. Unfortunately.

I had a very disappointing customer service experience at Marshalls on June 9, 2026…read more I purchased an item on May 9, 2026, and returned it today, exactly 30 days later. During the return process, the cashier, Margaret, informed me that my refund could only be issued on a gift card rather than being returned to my original payment method. When I asked why, her response was, "I don't know, it didn't give me an option to return it to your card," while turning the screen toward me. She then suggested that "maybe it's because you bought it from Pasadena." Excuse me--what? As someone who worked in retail for over 12 years, I have never heard of a policy where an item purchased at another store location automatically prevents a refund from being returned to the original payment method. The explanation made no sense and felt like she was simply making up reasons rather than providing an accurate answer. I then asked whether a manager could override the transaction. Margaret told me there was no option to do so. However, when I requested to speak with a manager, she contacted someone over the walkie-talkie, provided my receipt information, and suddenly my refund was able to be processed back to my original payment method. How convenient. What made this experience particularly frustrating was not the initial issue itself, but the inconsistent information and lack of transparency. If there was a legitimate reason for the problem, I would have understood. Instead, I was given multiple explanations that appeared inaccurate, followed by a quick resolution once management became involved. I also noticed that Margaret seemed extremely stressed and preoccupied with break or clock-out timing. I understand retail can be demanding, and I generally give retail employees the benefit of the doubt because I've spent many years working in customer service myself. However, customers should not be given misleading information simply because a situation is inconvenient or because an employee is trying to end a transaction quickly. I rarely submit complaints because I know how challenging retail work can be. However, this interaction was unnecessarily frustrating and could have been avoided with honest communication and better customer service.

I tried on eight formal dresses here and was made to walk out of the fitting room half-dressed,…read moresixteen times, in full view of the sales floor, because an attendant wouldn't let my partner into the gender-neutral fitting room to zip me up. Why? Because you can "see through the doors" (louvered doors -- the horizontal slatted kind) and it's "for the privacy of the ladies." So instead, I had to walk fully out of the dressing room half-naked to have him zip me up in front of the rest of the store, including several ogling strangers, for each of the eight dresses. There's no mirror outside the stalls, so that meant sixteen trips -- out to zip, back in to check the fit, out again to unzip. She did the same to a teenage girl and her dad, with visible satisfaction. She doesn't make the policies for this store, and I won't name her, because the purpose of this review is to point out a hypocritical policy, not to bash one patronizing employee. But if anyone from Macy's corporate is reading: it doesn't seem very "protect women" of you to expect them to parade around holding fabric up to their exposed bodies so that a man won't "see through" the slats of a louvered door (a feat that would require actively pressing your eyes to the seam of the door, not walking briskly past it to accompany your wife into her stall). I felt significantly more humiliated and exposed being zipped and unzipped in front of an audience than I would have if the attendant had simply asked my partner to avert his eyes on the way in, stay inside the stall, and avert them on the way out. It's a gender-neutral fitting room. You are not protecting women and teenage girls by forcing them outside the privacy of their stall to be undressed in full view of passersby. And which ladies are being protected? The attendant was making a call about who counts as a "lady" based on a glance. Sooner or later she'll make that call about a trans woman, or someone non-binary, and humiliate them too. Change your policy, or change the godforsaken louvered doors.
