I bought perfume online to be picked up in the store. I decided to cancel it and then curbside told me to wait 7 days and it would auto cancel. It never did and I called again to see what happened. They told me the order will go in a "pick up" state and then be refunded. I called one more time to check the status and they told me the same thing. Two weeks go by, and it goes in the "pick up" state but it didn't refund me. It still isn't even refunded and I have to go through Macys corporate to get my money back. Now this order looks like I picked it up when I didn't. This whole situation is being drawn out to a month and few weeks. I would avoid this store. An associate probably picked it up on my behalf and just took it for themselves. read more

ALL MACY'S Online Ordering Is a Nightmare I've officially given up on Macy's online shopping. This is the second time I've placed an order expecting delivery by the promised date--this time it was supposed to arrive Monday, September 29. It's now October 3, and still no package. Macy's has outsourced delivery to DoorDash, and it's been nothing but unreliable. DoorDash might work for food, but they clearly aren't equipped to handle retail deliveries. To make matters worse, when I called customer service, the representative was rude, condescending, and completely indifferent to the issue. No apology, no solution--just attitude. Macy's used to be a trusted name in retail. Now it feels like they've stopped caring about their customers altogether. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. read more

Whatever girl was on call on Saturday 12/27 around 4:30pm was useless when a literal child got their shoe stuck on the Macy's escalator and needed support calling an ambulance. She tried asking a screaming, crying, hurt terrified toddler multiple questions instead of calling an ambulance and helping the family out. She didn't want to give her name or help out the distressed family. Macys do better at taking care of your customers and get your escalator fixed ASAP. Hire people who have common sense at least. read more

Macy's Glendale is finally upping their game. The store has been super disorganized for many years, but now things are being updated. Jim, the cashier who helped me return a swimsuit, told me that this is one of the top selling Macy's in the country and therefore the upgrade. Departments are better organized, although it seems there is a little more work to do. Also, there's a Starbucks on the 2nd floor with a few tables. Also - if you want to make a return - make sure to bring your paper receipt. read more

My wife and I stopped by here to pick up her online order of a dress. We been to Glendale mall a bunch of time but never visited this Macy store until now. The order pickup area is on the second floor. We thought it was on the first floor until we asked a worker. The jewelry and etc are on the first floor. The line to pick up your online order wasn't too bad. It was a quick and easy process for us. Third World Store! I recently went to Macy's at the Glendale Galleria. It had been a while since I actually physically visited this store. I recall being an inviting place and with plenty of assistance. It was sad to witness how low this store has gone down. See the photos. Clothes left everywhere and no one to assist you. When I wanted to get a pair of shoes for my wife, I had to put up with a nerdy looking latino shoe assistant with a major attitude. He made it obvious that he hated his job and made you feel that he was doing you a favor by doing his job. This reflects the low expectations set by the store manager. Note to Corporate - you should go for yourself to see this. Later, my wife and I went to the Macy's in Sherman Oaks. What a difference! Inviting and more assistance. I went to the men's section asking for help to find a suit for a New Year's Eve celebration. I came upon two male employees by the cash register chatting with each other and ignoring me. I finally said, "Hi I need help with the suit." This white employee with a beard seemed annoyed that I bothered them. I asked him that I needed help with the fitting and he said, "Oh you're a regular." like what? Regular??? Can you measure me? He pulled his measuring tape and said you're a size 17. I was looking all over for crystal shot glasses, as a wedding gift. (Don't judge me on this). Couldn't find anything close. I wandered in that area 20 minutes and gave up. But then, as I was walking away I saw a woman that worked there and asked if they had such a thing. By golly, she thought for a moment. They used to carry some shot glasses. "Used to." She gave me freebies like small Le Serum and Cream. When I checked the receipt I got charge for lipliner wherein it's very clear she mentioned free bow when I called she said not I did not mention about lipliner because I don't use lipliner. I don't like her attitude on phone when I spoke to her , she denied she said it's free . So to cut story short I will return the other lipstick I bought from her and the supposed free lipliner. ATTENTION for FUTURE Effy clients: I purchased a ring from Effy at my local Macy's in April 2021. Under 2 years of normal wear and usage, one of the ring prongs fell off so I decided to contacted Effy because their website states that "Effy Jewelry stands by the quality and craftsmanship of each product we manufacture: that is why we offer this limited lifetime warranty". However, Effy does not stand behind this warranty. When I called Effy to replace or repair the ring, their representative informed me that they could not repair the ring but would replace it if I paid $950. This offer was nonsensical and unacceptable since that is the amount that I originally paid for the ring. In essence, Effy offers no warranty at all. They lost a long time customer because I will no longer be purchasing from Effy . read more

Ive been a Macys Card holder, since they bought out The Broadway (25 years minimum). I mostly shop on line, but because there's been so many great deals, I really wanted to go in the store and see the items , to make sure I knew what I was buying. I can't remember how many years its been since I shopped in store at Glendale galleria, I did not know that had such a large clearance section. All my employee interactions, were great today. Getting price checks, looking for items, trying on clothes, asking questions, checking out in many departments. I'm sorry I didn't get names, because I want to do a shout out to these employees that made my day. At least 5 super stars that I interacted with. Woman's Department, Bed and Bath, and lastly the super stars in Kitchen. I highly recommend shopping at Macys, especially here at Glendale Galleria, these employees at top notch. If it's one thing that i know about customer Service it's that the people can make it happen in a good way or in a bad way. I was here at Macy's Glendale Galleria to (egad!) return some stuff that i had bought online and had delivered to me. It was not to my liking and so i ventured into this Macy's to return it after filling out the paperwork online. In that sense it is very much like the Amazon return process. I was not looking forward to this and grudgingly decided to do the dirty deed today, Mother's Day. I was there when the doors opened and hiked it up to the second floor to the "Return Center". There was already a line of about 12 people all eagerly awaiting service. But i wasn't going to let this deter me as i had to make the return within a specific time period and that time period was fast approaching. So i got in line and said line moved quickly. My Return person was the sweet and personable and efficient Miss Isabella who got me going on my way in a matter of minutes: return receipt in hand. Those of you who have read my reviews of this Macy's and the one in Pasadena know that i lament the demise of the Department Store. And it seems that Macy's is going to close even more units soon. Yet after my returning was over i walked the store and noted that all of the departments were stocked up full and the salespeople were eager to sell and eager to please. For all intents this store looked as it did in the 90's: spic and span clean, well stocked and shiny bright from a very competent cleaning crew. And this store in particular as well as the Galleria in general had better be on their toes and ready to please as that Mammoth of a sleek, groovy and new "Americana" is just across the street waiting to devour all the Galleria customers. But I'm venturing a guess that that is probably not going to happen because about 5 years after the Americana opened both shopping centers are doing well if you can judge by food traffic. And more importantly while the Americana has higher end shops like Nordstrom and Chanel, the Galleria has Target and Macy's. And I think what this has proven is that there is enough business in this general area to support both sprawling shopping areas. So the naysayers were wrong and the "People" spoke and shopped and enjoy both areas. Cheers! read more

Don't order for online pick up from this location. Actually don't shop at this location at all based on the competence level of the employees. There is a clearly marked separate line for online order pickup (as you can see attached). Myself and a few other customers stood in this line since the regular "At Your Service" line was filled with people making returns. I'm not a regular at Macy's anymore, but there has always been an "Online Order Pickup" line. It makes sense as they say "Need it in a hurry? It's free, fast, and easy!" Well we're standing in this line trying to pick up our order only to be told that oh, it's only for DoorDash orders. Where does it say DoorDash on either of these signs? Having a hidden sign behind the register window is useless. So of course all of us have to go back into the massive returns line after waiting in this line for so long. You can just see the level of effort you'll have to put into your experience here and it's no bueno. Definitely a location to avoid! read more

Just did some shopping this morning at Macys (Glendale) turns out that they had a great sale. I picked out some clothes for work. The experience with the cashier was embarrassing. She said she sucks and doesn't know how to fold clothes. Also as she was scanning my clothes she pushed them to the side as if they were damaged goods. She kept asking me if I get it as I was trying to use there machine to retrieve my star rewards. It turns out the machine is malfunctioning and she was able to apply the rewards on her end the whole time. To add insult to injury. I get home and my clothes are full of wrinkles. I called the store to speak to a manager. Still awaiting a call back. read more

Every time I would go into customer service for a pick up or had to exchange an item myself while waiting in line I would always see this trans employee having an argument with a customer while doing a transaction . Well today I went in and had to return a puffer jacket which I had bought a week ago and it ripped the employee was really rude and gave attitude infront of everyone and was continuing to be disrespectful .
