Let me tell you about the service of this 99cent store , this is my favorite place when I need something fast ! I went to get Easter and st patty's decorations , I walked in got what I needed super fast because they have a huge selection but I got a emergency phone call ! I panicked and threw my stuff including my wallet !!!!!! I left to the hospital did not think of my wallet until late today . I have no idea if a customer turned it in or the managers found it BUT ! Tonight 6/30/23 my boyfriend and I went to get cherries, blueberries (on sale for 79¢), bananas and watermelon (way better than target based on the price & quality) Jessica was so kind and patient even though it was closing time I wish I got the other ladies names that were working they helped me out a lot too! One of them even went to the back to get me 2 bags of cherries since they were sold out on the floor! She could of easily told me they were out and sent me on my way but all the ladies went above and beyond to help me and give me great customer service and had great attitudes thought it all!! I have been coming to this store for years. My favorite worker is Celia. She always greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome. But I can't stand how long you have to wait to get ring up because she is the only one in the check stand. I hear her calling and calling people to open another check stand but no one comes. Then finally this guy name Daniel comes but with an Attitude!!!!! And giving Celia a mean look. But of course they're not gonna take their job seriously when there's no manager to put them on point. If Daniel don't like his job he needs to look for a job that doesn't involve customer service! I would have given this store 5 stars but I hate waiting just to buy a couple of things. read more

This store is located in the Terra Vista Town Center so there's minimal crazy people and more locals looking for a deal. We've found 2 liter Pepsi's here for a dollar as well as huge mangos, bananas, etc. If you're shopping and need to get hydrated, stop in here and then you'll discover all the amazing things this store has to offer. This store is gross. I don't like to go in this store, it's dirty, messy and they don't have as nice of stuff as dollar tree! I went in today to gather some items for work and was looking for screen protectors. They have an electronics isle .. with no electronics on it. I assumes that's where the phone stuff would be, it wasn't. After a few other isle searches I came up empty handed! Anyways, I know it's the 99 cent store but go to dollar tree instead! I always kind of liked these stores, but I've been impressed with them lately because they've been carrying better products, such as organic lettuce & more name brand items. This brand new location is the best one I've been to. Their grocery & cold foods section is the biggest I've seen in any 99 Cent Store. I wish the aisles were wider. It's tough when two people with carts are passing by each other. The parking isn't the best & most spacious though, but I notice, neither are many other 99 Cent Store parking lots. It's small & cramped & being next door to a gym doesn't help. I no longer have to go to the other location on Baseline! read more

Nice service (for the most part) and stuff I need for a low price. Sometimes there's a nice find (like something worth over $5 for $1). Nearby. What would make it 7+ stars is to make it less susceptible to stealing, decrease the unnecessary plastic/helium use, and remove items that don't come from the USA (although they really do have a better selection of USA products than anywhere else I know of too, so...). Update: Been going to here for years and it's nice with the selection. However, I had a bad ordeal with the management today and it's just an accumulation of other stuff that's happened over the years involving food. So I'm not going back to this 99 until it's resolved. read more

Love this 99. It is clean and more spacious than other 99 stores. I am writing this review because I had the nicest, most friendliest cashier named Terri. She asked me if I needed bags, how my day was, she spoke to my daughter. I had a brief joyful chat with her as I paid and she bagged my items. Went for some lunch snacks yesterday. This fairly new location is always clean when I go. I usually find some good produce to pick up and they tend to have several items other 99 cent stores in the area do not have. So far, every time I have gone I have had good service and when it has been busy, there have been enough registers open to handle the crowd. read more

99 Cent Only Store at 9640 Baseline, Rancho Cucamonga is notorious for selling strawberries that mold within a couple days or less. I have bought strawberries there on a number of occasions and had to throw them out within a day or two (when they were 99 cents), and have even brought it to the attention of the manager when I saw that some of the packages on the stand had already molded. I bought a package two days ago and put them in the refrigerator, I pulled them out today (two days later) and they were all molded. Now that they cost more I decided I wanted my money back. Long story short; I was told by one abrupt and unprofessional female person that they couldn't give me a refund on food items because of Covid regulations, and that I should have brought them back the same day. Who's stupid me or her? If the strawberries had molded the same day I would have, but that doesn't change the fact she told me the store couldn't give a refund due to Covid regulations (contradiction). The food was clearly not edible it was molded in just two days and should have been refundable. read more

Love this place. I come in for one thing and end up with a full cart. Everything's cheap but they have way more than you'd expect. I even bought my bed comforter here, 4.99$. It's not high class but it gets the job done. I like it that's all that matters. I come here every holiday for gifts. Went here the other day and had a bad experience. One of the workers there who I believe is the manager some fat bald guy was very rude and didn't say hello at the register after I said hi first. He then attempted to bag my items but did it so fast that he threw our merchandise and receipt on top of the bag instead of putting it inside the bag. I guess he must really hate his job where he can't do the easiest thing which is put our items inside a bag. Wow very rude! He then had one of his workers relieve him at the register. I guess so he could go on an eating break lol. Won't be coming here anymore. They should have a training program here on how to put items in a simple bag! read more

I usually enjoy coming here, but today I had an experience that makes me think it is not safe to come back here. I noticed that the door greeter, an older gentleman, was not wearing his mask properly (only covering his mouth and not his nose). I asked him to pull his mask up and he then told me "I stand here 7 hours a day and I can't breathe in my mask when it covers my nose. But thanks for your concern." As a person who works in healthcare, it is highly concerning to me that people who work at businesses with lots of foot traffic are not following proper guidelines. It is even more concerning that this man, who is older and therefore more susceptible to getting COVID, is standing at the door where he is essentially in contact with every single person who enters and leaves. Also, why is there even a door greeter? That doesn't seem like an essential job to me. It has been empirically proven that your capacity to breathe is not affected by wearing a mask so the man's comment was not valid. Also, if he "can't breathe" wearing a mask properly, he shouldn't be working as a door greeter. However, I didn't feel like I had the patience to argue with him so I left. Anyway, beware if you're coming here. If management is reading this, you need to reevaluate the training your staff has and take better precautions. You are literally putting people in danger. read more

After many years of going to this location, I will have to reconsider. The cashier, Xenia, was extremely rude and forgot all of her customer service skills. I had forgotten my bags in my car. So I ran out to grab them while she was still ringing me up. This is when she dropped the ball completely. After I came back with my bags she did not offer to bag my groceries, but expected me to pay for them right then and there. I asked her to give me a second. So after I paid for them she proceeded to help the next customer. I asked her to please wait until I was finished with packing up my groceries. She ignored me and kept helping the other customer. Once again, I asked her to wait as I was not finished. Of course, she ignores my request and proceeded to bag the next customer's items. This is what sent me over the edge. I asked her a third time to wait as it was rude, but she obviously did not care nor did she ever offer to help. This is unacceptable behavior at this store or any other. Your job is customer service and you failed at every part of it. read more

I hate going to 99cent stores basically because a lot of the times they are in seedy areas and are dirty, when you walk in they have a uncertain atmosphere to them. I have been in some decent ones also. Well its a 99cents store they all look the same but maybe due to it being new i had a great experience and the products/produce were nice plus it was very clean, if they keep up the store and products i see them taking a lot of business from "Targets" food section a few stores down. Its next door to the gym so you can go and get a gatorade before the workout which works. All-in-all i hope they keep it up, i will visit and do some shopping in the near future. read more
