We have both been to Las Vegas many times, and we hadn't ever visited the Mob Museum. So we decided to visit this time. We enjoyed the experience overall and would certainly recommend it to others. When we arrived, we paid for parking and went inside to pay for the Mob Museum experience. We started on the third floor reading all of the exhibits and worked our way down to the second and then first floor before finally making it to the basement. The basement is where The Underground is along with the Speakeasy and the Distillery. In fact, it is considered an immersive Prohibition history exhibit space featuring a distillery, speakeasy and private VIP room located in the basement of The Mob Museum. Surrounded by artifacts from the 1920s, you can experience Prohibition-era craft cocktails in their speakeasy and visit the on-site distillery for a taste of the past. Speakeasies operate in hidden places offering what has been considered to be forbidden spirits. The speakeasy in the Underground offers exhibits, videos, and artifacts that is built around a well-stocked bar with a hand-crafted cocktail menu. They also offer weekly live music and a lively environment. By going to the website (https://themobmuseum.org/underground), you can find the password for the speakeasy. This week, it is "Razzle Dazzle". The website (https://themobmuseum.org/exhibit/the-speakeasy) displays the menu, promotions, and live entertainment. There is also the Distillery. This exhibit tells the stories of bootleggers, rumrunners and the government agents who tried to take them down. The centerpiece is a working still producing moonshine so you, too, can have a taste of this formerly forbidden engine of American commerce. The general admission cost is to the Mob Museum is $34.95 per person to access exhibits without a discount. For an extra $15, you get access to exhibits and one interactive exhibit, which can include the Distillery moonshine tasting. For $5 more than that, you get access to exhibits and two interactive exhibits. There are discounts available to Nevada residents, students, law enforcement and military. You can also get tickets before 11 AM or after 5 PM to receive $7 off admission plus 20% off coupons on the internet. The Underground speakeasy and distillery is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM to 11 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to Midnight. Definitely check out the Mob Museum at some point while you're in Las Vegas! Worth a visit!

I got the "pass the coconuts" and "safe in the city", and we had 2 other drinks (a sake and another cocktail that I can't remember). Total cost was about $139. We went on a Friday so there was a DJ playing music (mostly remixes of late 2000s stuff like Chris Brown's "Yo") Pros: - REALLY cool ambiance inside, mostly dark, but really cool East Asian decor with lots of red - not crowded, it seems like they purposely regulate the capacity so it's not overrun with people and everyone can have a seat - The cocktails were really delicious!! - Definitely felt like a speakeasy, I was shocked that we couldn't hear the music from outside of the entrance - Very cool bookshelf entrance - Really beautiful presentation of the cocktails - Definitely probably the most unique and coolest speakeasy on the strip Cons: - The music was EXTRA loud - you could feel it physically pulsing when you sat on the couch - which I typically don't mind, but we really did have to shout at each other even though we were sitting right next to each other. We arrived around 9 on a Saturday and there were limited seats. There wasn't a host but a cocktail waitress also serving as hostess. It took quite a while to be acknowledged. We sat in the back room initially until a table in the main room became available. I think the bar is vibey and the band is a nice touch but if I were to return, I would come when they first open.

I remember when it was new but it is still as beautiful as ever. It was kept up over the years and was reinvented once during its lifetime. I like the Rio's rooftop bar and this one - and a lot of good memories here from now years ago. The 'elevation' of this bar and the view it offers should be part of any Vegas getaway. The people who come here are from all over the world - but you also get local regulars - and I think that is what makes it so enjoyable. Bring your friends and you are guaranteed a good time. I have fond memories of my one friend here 'taking down the mother hens!!' The trendy club scene of today - it changes - it has to do with what DJ and what celebrity endorsement - and probably more factors I'm not even aware of. Resorts a tiny bit off the Strip are always a better value and they tend to try a bit harder. The same is true for anything at the Palms for that matter: the rooms, the restaurants and the overall service. No doubt there are other clubs on the Strip that have the "it" factor - but this is a good bet.
