6/9/2026: This shopping trip, I bought a lobster, exotic fruits, Yuzu juice, seafood fish ball assortment, organic mushrooms, organic bean sprouts, a myriad of DIM-SUM, and a plateful of Chinese dinner items, i.e., an egregiously EXPENSIVE SHOPPING TRIP~OOOOOoooof!!!!!

I am grateful for 99 Ranch in Folsom because there aren't any Asian market options in this area. It has the essentials and no frills. That being said - this location lacks certain unique ingredients. I'm able to find the essentials for Cantonese meals, but it's still missing some things. Hot bar/roast meats - it passes, but not as fresh and hot as I'd prefer. Seafood - it's underwhelming but it passes. Produce - wide variety. The totes are great and sturdy. I will get more of these!

Spent $14.95 today on a bag of a half dozen rotten mangosteens. The outside was as hard as wood and the inside was rotten Update. I also fought a Fresh Sugar Heart apple which was not fresh. I only purchased two produce items today and both were awful

Don't expect to find the usual staples, like 10 varieties of peanut butter. But that's not why you come to 99 Ranch Market anyway. Come for the Wall of Sauce!! And not one is Kikkoman's. Come for twenty types of Boba, or the Hong Kong style deli. Everything looked delicious. Hubs is a chef, so this was like his Disneyland. Note: Wear a sweater for cozy browsing, it's chilly inside.

99 Ranch Market in Folsom is one of our go to Asian markets. They have a great variety, and they have Filipino products as well. One thing the we also love about 99 Ranch is their seafood selection, and fry/steam service is FREE! They also have a deli section, dim sum, bbq and a bakery. We love their mousse cakes. They are not very sweet and very moist. Their roasted duck is also my favorite! Please open one in Roseville/Lincoln area!

We spent over $150 on Chinese barbecue at the deli today. They gave us burnt pork belly. I'm very disappointed. This is shady business practices. Who wants to eat burnt food? If you were not going to eat burnt food why would you sale it to your customers? It's difficult to actually see what they're doing because the area they used to cut the meat as blocked. The roasted duck and honey glazed bbq was good. Management please talk to your staff. Will I come here again? Yes but I will watch you like a hawk

Looking for the right ingredients for a delicious Asian meal, this market offers a wide variety of Asian food options. Dim sum, noodles or sauces, they have it all.

Bought a pack of Taiwan salty eggs today. They were all bad!!

Bought a pack of Taiwan salty eggs today. They supposed to be white and bright orange color on the yolk part. But they were old and bad!!

Best by date was 12/11/25. I purchased the item at regular price from the store on 12/13/25 and did not realize it until the next day.

Warning: they sell food that are past their "best by" dates. I bought tofu yesterday, on 12/13/25. I was about to cook it today (12/14/25) when I noticed the "best by" date already passed; it was 12/11/25. I don't always cook all my groceries the same day or next day either so it's disappointing that I can't even expect a shelf life of a few days when I buy certain grocery items. A notice or sticker to notify customers when an item has an approaching or past best by date is normal at most grocery stores. This isn't the first time I've noticed them selling past due food so I should have checked before purchasing. Lesson learned. Won't go there anymore. It may or may not be safe to eat still, however, I don't want to worry about whether or not I'm buying fresh items or questionable items for regular price. They need to be more up front.

It's an immaculate and organized store. I like this 99 Ranch in Folsom better than the one in Sacramento. Of course, I hope they will open one in Elk Grove. This 99 Ranch store is not as big as the Sacramento store, but it has most of everything I needed for the Chinese kitchen. The employees are nice and friendly. The hot food section looks good, and the food is delicious. I enjoyed my shopping there.

Since KP International originated as a Korean market there is a huge selection of Korean food and has the most extensive inventory of Korean products. There are multiple security guards throughout the store as a crime deterrent and can call the police if needed. Even the cashiers are overly vigilant. On one occasion I was pushing my cart by the register to look at items arraigned across from the register and I was yelled at that I needed to pay. I explained I was going to the items for sale and the cashier told me I needed to leave my cart next to the register. I left my cart next to the register and she stood next to it and proceeded to stare me down as I went to look at the display with the items. The Tofu Soup from the food court area was average. There was barely any seafood but it tasted good. There was a large amount of kimchi served on the side with a side of rice. The cost was high considering the lack of ingredients in the soup. Ordering on the kiosk was fast and easy. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

Two days later when I opened the container I found insects crawling in it. While that's disgusting, that's not what this review is about though, things like this happen from time to time. This review is actually about how the store chose to handle (or in my case avoid handling the situation and avoid any responsibility or attempt at customer service). For a situation this basic this basic, you would imagine it would be as simple as me bringing back the flour, the store replacing the bag, taking the brand off the shelves and dealing with their supplier. Instead after 4 phone calls back and forth with the store employees over a period of two days trying to wriggle out of the situation e.g. insisting I had to bring back the original bag/packaging (I had thrown away the paper bag after pouring the flour in my container) telling me that the owners would call me (Its been a week).I have decided to cut my losses and not waste any more time with them or this business over a $20 bag of flour. Especially since there are 4 other Indian grocery stores just in Folsom, so after years of patronizing Shreyus it's time for a change. I felt I should write this review as a Pubic Service Announcement: If you bought Sher Atta from this store in the last week, please be careful and inspect your flour, chances are there maybe an issue with the whole batch. Shreyus will obviously not take any responsibility, so watch out for your family's health. I will also report this to the county health department on Monday but I am not sure what they can do in this instance.

I purchased clearance food items that I later realized -- without even opening them -- were clearly not fresh and not safe to eat. This is especially serious to me because I have children, and I rely on stores to sell food that is safe for families. What makes this worse is that I was told in the store that these products were "safe" and that employees buy them themselves. When I returned to request a refund, one associate initially said it would be accepted. However, the same employee who originally reassured me suddenly refused, became visibly upset, and told me "it's the law" that they cannot take the items back. That statement is misleading -- stores cannot avoid responsibility for selling food that is not safe for consumption. On top of that, during the same visit I was overcharged for other items compared to the posted prices, which added to my frustration and concern about how this business operates. This was not just poor customer service -- it raises serious concerns about food safety and consumer rights. I strongly recommend that others carefully inspect any items before purchasing here and double-check prices at checkout.
