What a great experience Every time I go here. The prices are 3$ to 5$ less on most items that are brand names . I have found that Winco products are comparable to the quality and price s and are way less expensive.. I was introduced to them a couple of years ago and I feel grateful for this gift of knowledge and experience every month. The staff is genuinely knowledgeable and exceptional when it comes to customer service. Ed and Rena this past month helped me so very much with store knowledge regarding finding products and services , Ed was exceptionally gracious as he interrupted his work to help my friend and I to the perfect product for me and my friend. He provided information regarding toe product that neither of us had any idea about. And,, I am a senior and she a young parent and generally valued his opinion.. thank you so much for your time and knowledge Ed , we both have shared your information that will surely save others as well. Great prices and even following the grocery dip in the economy today but they lost a star due to removing cash from self checkout over the penny discontinuation. Long line for a few items for cash. Open 24/7 which is great for the night owls. Also $6 is absurd for the ready made meals. Haven't bought them since they raised from $5 to $6 for a few years. Sadly my rating for Winco has dropped significantly as a result of the terrible changes that have been made to the seafood department. They have recently changed the seafood counter to a prepackaged selection and I think it's a terrible change that I can safely say will result in zero future purchases for me. On my latest visit I tried to give it a go but they only had two pieces of salmon on display while the employee (who used to be so nice and helpful) packaged about 50 other pieces behind the counter and then rolled them into the refrigerator and put none of them in the silly new seafood display. I tried to get his attention for several minutes and was intentionally ignored. Frustrated, I left my cart behind and went somewhere else. Ugh...now what? read more

Don't sleep on the deli area at Winco!!! For $6 I feed 3 of us for lunch including chicken strips and potato wedges. They also sell plenty sides all for a very reasonable price especially considering the price of food now a days! The chicken strips are super good. We Love Winco. The prices are great, the selection is big and great. Crew is always helpful. Our favorite part is the Sushi tho!! We get the big platter for like $20 and it tastes great honestly. The lady working today was by herself which means she is working cash and food at the same time. Not once did she change her gloves. Taking cash, grabbing pizza, taking cash, grabbing pizza. This review is for 3 Winco workers who really went the extra mile for me about a month ago when I left my phone at Winco. I was stressed because I knew the phone was in the store, but didn't know exactly where. SUSAN from Customer Service was so nice and helpful. DENISE, a worker on the floor, helped me search for my phone even though I knew she was busy doing other things. I had a terrible experience during the self checkout in March 21, 2026. i've been going to this grocery store since I moved to Folsom in 2023 had good customer service up until then I get familiar with the employees names and everything and they are familiar with me so I went through the self checkout and I seen this lady I never seen there before walk up, but really was focusing on scanning my items and as soon as I pull my receipts out, I didn't even have time to grab my basket. she asked me for my receipts because she said she didn't see me scan a item. So that tells me that she was watching me the whole time so it made me feel targeted And I told her I've never been asked that before and you just seen me grab my receipts and she told me that she has to check everybody's receipts and they were watching her so I gave her my receipts. She didn't even look in my basket. so I proceeded, and I stopped where the sodas were and grabbed a soda, but I was watching her to see if she asked the next person for their receipts and she did not so I walked back up in there and asked her why didn't she check their receipts because you just told me you have to check everybody's receipts and I told her that I felt discriminated against and talked to a manager so I talked to a manager he took my information down. I've never got a phone call or anything so I call back talk to a different manager from a different store. She told me that is not their policy. That is the loss prevention policy to do that and I told her I can understand if I was at Walmart because they do that there, but I've never had been treated like that here at Winco so she tells me that the manager of the store was gonna give me a call. I still haven't received a call yet so I go to the store with my cousin because I have not been there since then on. 05/15/26 and the same lady is still there, and when my cousin was checking out She walks next to us behind us again and it made my cousin feel uncomfortable like she came over to watch us or something and I was considering shopping back at the store because I really do like it but because she's still there, I still felt uncomfortable and I wasn't even the one shopping. I still haven't received a phone call about this situation. And I also put a complaint in on their website. Still haven't gotten an email back or a call. read more

We've always loved the coffee at WinCo and truly appreciate the effort that goes into providing great quality at such a good value. We've especially been fans of the Double French Roast--it used to be bold, rich, dark, and had that beautiful shiny look to the beans that really stood out. Lately, though, we've noticed a change. The roast seems noticeably lighter, not as dark or shiny, and unfortunately, the flavor just isn't as robust as it used to be. We're not sure what might have changed--different roaster, supplier, or method? If anyone at WinCo can shed some light on this, we'd really appreciate it. I would like to warn people about a dangerous situation at the Winco in Folsom. I have been injured twice by a splintery wooden pallet beneath the watermelon bin. Both times it took me over a month to heal. When I discussed it with the manager, she said that she couldn't promise to remedy the situation, even though I offered a few suggestions. I have shopped at a couple of WinCo Foods stores in the Sacramento south area before. The stores are a big mess all the time. The shopping experience is not enjoyable! I want to pick up what I want and get out of there quickly! But this one in Folsom changed my view of WinCo Foods. They're good! I don't expect WinCo Foods will have much customer service. The main selling point of WinCo Foods is the good quality food at an excellent price. The Folsom store is keeping the low prices, good quality, plus a clean and well-maintained store. Much better than the other WinCo Foods I have shopped at in the past! The parking lot at this location is also spotless. It was pretty busy when I was there on a late Sunday afternoon. I've been a fan of Winco since I shopped Boise Winco years ago. Modern day Pak 'n Save, but Winco is employee-owned. I've been in this store a couple of times in recent months. It's "flipped" compared to the Orangevale location. A little challenging to find things. Today this location had excellent cilantro. I don't find the best bunches at the Orangevale location. BTW, if you like cilantro but don't eat it fast enough, get an herb keeper online or at a retail store. Cilantro lasts me 2+ weeks if I change the water every 2-3 days! Shopping Winco you'll find that they have most of what you need but not always a variety, it must keep costs low. Be sure to check out the bulk items - candy, beans, pasta, trail mix, nuts, dried fruit, and tons of seasonings and herbs. They also sell inexpensive herb jars. read more

Our son moved to Folsom and has been raving about Winco. We finally got to go in around 11pm on a Tuesday night. As you would expect, parking lot and store were pretty empty. We just walked around to check it out, comparing products and prices to Costco and Safeway. Wow. Great selection and great prices. Just bought some snacks for the trip. If we lived closer would probably make Winco a regular grocery stock-up place. Big + that it's open 24 hours. I like shopping when it's not crowded. - that it only takes cash or debit. read more

Is it fancy, no. Can you get the best prices?! Yes. I drive an hour to ship bulk and it is absolutely worth it.

I absolutely love WinCo, especially the Folsom location. I have been coming here for about a decade. The parking lot is spacious, so parking is never an issue. The inside is very clean, they have a great selection of fresh produce, and their prices simply can't be beat. I also think they have great customer service. I often see employees stocking the shelves or stocking more meat or produce and whenever I've asked them questions about products, they have been super knowledgeable and willing to help. One of my favorite things about WinCo is their bulk section. You can find anything from dry pastas and rice, candies, chocolates, flours, dog treats, and spices! The spices are my favorite because I can fill up on spices that I've ran out of for cheaper than other places. They also have a deli with the best friend chicken around, according to my husband who is a huge fried chicken fan. They don't accept credit cards here, only debit cards, and you have to bag your own groceries. But it's a small price to pay for all the savings you receive. Be sure to grab a slice of pizza here on the way out, too. They serve Leonardi's pizza by the slice. read more

Winco is a great grocery store for those who are primarily concerned with saving money. Prices on most common grocery staples tend to be lower here than anywhere else in town, including Wal-Mart. Liquor prices are also low here, and it's stashed all over the store. There's the liquor aisle, the walk-in liquor fridge, the end-cap liquor fridge, plus customer service. Pro tip: If alcohol is the only thing you're buying, you can check out at customer service. The employees are usually friendly, but not always, to be real. The store is an acceptable level of clean, but sometimes just barely. Social distancing and mask orders were absolutely not enforced at this store during the times that they were in effect. For this reason, I actually stopped shopping here for a while, until I was able to get fully vaccinated. Areas of the store that I personally routinely avoid include the meat and produce departments. I prefer to purchase these items from more sanitary environments. So, what keeps me coming back to this store? Other than the low prices, it's mainly the deli (except the lunch meat, which I do not recommend). The pizza dough is surprisingly not bad. The Chipotle chicken sundried tomato wraps make a great lunch for a short hike. The mashed potato bowls from the deli are one of my top "guilty pleasure" foods. I'm sure they're so bad for you, and they definitely don't adhere to the diet recommended by my doctor, but I usually end up eating one at least one per month. They come loaded with mashed potatoes, fried chicken, gravy, corn, and cheese. So bad, but so good. The thing is, they're almost always out of mashed potato bowls. Out of the last six times that I've driven to Winco in hopes of finding a mashed potato bowl, I've found two. On Saturdays, they are often sold out by noon. By contrast, they make way too many turkey bowls and breakfast bowls, which sit unwanted near the empty chicken bowl spots. Winco, if you're reading this, please start producing more chicken bowls, and less turkey bowls. I bet half of the turkey bowl sales come from people who really wanted a chicken bowl, but were unable to find one, anyway. Overall, sometimes I wish that the store was cleaner, or less crowded, but it's kind of a "get what you pay for" situation. I will continue to come back because I like saving money, and many of my basic necessities are simply cheaper here than they are anywhere else in town. read more

I am a regular shopper at Winco on Blue Raven n Folsom. This is the first complaint I have and it's in regards to their produce (celery). It seems to be happening more and more where they are buying celery from a grower that picks their celery much too early to where the celery bundle is very small, The celery is picked way before it's ripe, which causes it to be dark green, bitter and very thin. The last thing is the celery is literally FiIthy! It is so dirty and packed with dirt inside the celery. The celery is just in bad shape because of this. So I have to cut a lot off of off. The price may be great, but the quality of the product is not. I'd rather pay a little bit more for a fully ripened package of celery that is fully ripe, clean and not caked with dirt. it unfortunately has been this way this time for the last month and happens through the year. There was a small window of time during the summer, where the celery was the right light colored green, thick stocks, and clean. Not clean like other stores, but not dirty/muddy. I happen to buy a couple of bags of celery every time I'm there which is weekly and I'm always disappointed in this. I will not be buying it now when it's in this shape which means I'm inconvenienced by having to go to another store. read more

Instead, I received a real response from someone who seemed genuinely concerned. We exchanged several emails over the course of a week, and in the end, they went WAY beyond anything I could have hoped for in dealing with the problem. My family loves to shop here for groceries, even for those one-off runs. And more so, when this store is so close to my wife's workplace. Unfortunately for the wife, we always have her running to this place for these one-offs. Nothing that requires more than a kiss or hug to thank her for the run... The store has great precautions in place for preventing the spread of the pandemic. They sanitize the carts once they're moved to the stack. They enforce wearing a mask inside the store. They offer wipes when you enter the grocery (probably if you feel uncomfortable if they did sanitize the carts or not). And hand sanitizers in different locations. As far as grocery items, the price is quite reasonable. They have everything under the sun that you might ever need. Staff members, if available, are happy enough to lead you to an item you are looking for...they don't simply tell you which aisle to look in. Nice... I always grab the ready-made subs they have here in store. There's also a host of other ready-made food items available for cheap! Subs, salads, fried chicken, and more. If there are grocery items you need, it might pay to visit this store! Be it your one-offs, or when you are out for your regular grocery run. read more

Learn how to read labels and you'll be fine. Most brands pack in unhealthy ingredients to mass produce. Read read your labels. I no longer live near a WinCo but it is my favorite discount market so we stopped as we were passing through. I love the bulk bin section. You can get practically anything there. Its great for spices that you just need for a recipe, not a whole jar. I also come specifically for the bulk candy to fill the jar at work. It's affordable and I get a good variety. Unfortunately it was stale!! The Sunkist jelly were firm and OMG the wrapped gum was hard as a rock. I had to cherry pick each piece that took me forever when I can usually just dig in. It would appear they just dump the new on top of the old because there were good pieces in it. Idk just for that I have to wonder about quality control. read more

Purchased 90 flowers from Folsom store. When I tried to return 8 within 7 days was told flowers are "NON-RETURNABLE". No sign posted, no disclaimer on receipt. I was told notice was on website!! But I could not find it! :0( I guess before I ever buy from this store again (IF EVER) I will have to visit their website first, OR, go to ORANGEVALE store. They take returns. Everyones always concerned about most Winco's being located in sus locations. Well, with this one? You really have nothing to worry about. I've shopped here during crazy nighttime hours and it's always been empty and safe. C'mon, its Folsom! The only thing you have to fear are bros going on a beer run. I used to dread shopping at Winco because of their cheap prices and unheard of brands. Cheap grocery prices are always good! But, whats the catch? Well, I personally think they focus more on quantity over quality over here. I wouldn't dare buy my meat or produce here. I purchased dairy items here for the first time ( winco brand ) and look forward to seeing how it'll go. If it were up to me, I'd stick to the Safeway or raleys because you know what you're getting yourself into. Majority of their winco brand items have ingredients I try to refrain from. " caramel color" for example, and there's always something " modified" thrown in there smh. Winco is my last resort grocery store.
