As soon as I walked in I was delighted. With about 30 years of shopping for Indian spices and supplies for a cleanse I teach people to cook, this was the most hospitable, kind and knowledgeable owner and shopping experience I have had both in the USA and in Canada. I was helped to find everything I needed, even though the aisles were clearly stocked. I was happily surprised they had Hing / Asafoetida as this is more rare. The store was tidy, clean and the quality of the spices is high. I was also happy to see the prices were more than reasonable because Canadian conversion rates are an added %30. This is the exact experience you want when going to a small grocer. I don't have too much knowledge or experience with indian food ingredients but the lady (who i assume to be the owner) was really pleasant and nice in helping me find things and making suggestions to the dish I was attempting to make. A friend recommended this Indian grocery store to me. I have been to other Indian groceries in the area but the one I liked the most closed. I lovedthis store! It was so incredibly clean! I needed some cumin seeds and urad dal, and they were fresh and clean! I'd bought some Spicely brand cumin seeds from Amazon that were dirty and even included some pebbles. The new owner and the prior owner were in the store, as she had just sold the business to her friend. The new owner was very friendly and helpful (much appreciated since this is not my culture). I can tell the owner really takes pride in buying high quality ingredient. I'm going back today -- the coriander seeds I bought online were disgusting -- and I'd need a few more items. read more

If you have any familiarity with Indian grocery markets in the US, this place will come as a shock. The typical Indian market in the US is often not that clean, not well organized, has indifferent staff and you always, always need to double check expiration dates, as more often than not you might go home and find out a packaged product expired about two months earlier. This place has a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable owner. The place is immaculate and very well organized. It also has everything you really need to make Indian food as well as Indian snacks and an assortment of British chocolates that Indians and others enjoy - I'm happy to see my Cadbury Flake bars there. I've also noticed more of the spices etc are organic, without being more costly which is great. So if you plan on making an Indian meal and need the ingredients come here, do not go anywhere else. This is probably the best Indian Grocery store in Folsom! Checked out the reviews and decided to give it a shot. Customer service-on point! The lady/store owner is super friendly and offers help as soon as you walk in. She will check in on you half way through to see if she can help you find anything. Last time I dropped by, I told her I was making shahi paneer for the first time and she reminded me of a few ingredients I would've forgotten otherwise! If no one else is shopping, she'll even help you take groceries out to your car! Groceries-a little bit of everything from around the Indian-Paki-Fiji world--snacks, spice mixes, henna cones, soaps and shampoos, pooja supplies, frozen snacks (like samosas and naan), and fresh vegetables. This is a great little grocery store near home. I love it for the great prices, robust spice and herb selection, fresh veggies and great whole grain foods. The owner is wonderful, helpful and kind. On one visit I had mentioned that I was helping my mother post surgery and the next time I came in she asked about her and I was happily caught off guard, grateful for the feeling of community and authentic friendliness. I like the shop owners. That's the reason I drive all the way from Fair Oaks to buy grocery from the. The cost of the products are almost same as the other Indian grocery stores in Folsom/Fair Oaks, but you get that warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere to shop. As others have said, we were impressed by the customer service. We drove from the bay area and stopped by to purchase some Indian sweets for our Folsom relatives. We got what we wanted. Good stock of items! It took us 4+ hours to reach Folsom due to traffic congestion on several highways that day. The woman owner noticed that we looked tired, talked to us and offered us free packets of juices and coconut water to help us refresh ourselves. This was a rare experience!
