Their food is good but the way the online orders are processed sucks. How many times in the past I kept waiting for my delivery only to find out that it has never been processed and I have to call the store each time or my order got cancelled. Today the delivery person from Doordash got confused because Seafood City's app asked her to deliver to the store, not my home address. I'm trying to help support this business , but someone from Seafood City's management team should be aware and has to act on this ASAP. read more

I've been going here because I got the calamansi concentrate and it was the best thing i've purchased. So i went here again and had a hard time finding it. It wasn't in the same area. So I checked another area and they only had one bottle left. Is that really how it is? Is it that popular that there was only one left. That seemed a little weird to me. Seafood City is always a treat. We always find things and food we never knew we needed . Today if was Katseye Chicken at Jollibee, dingdongs nut packs, and liver paste so I could make paksiw with leftover turkey. The chicken was good and more like a spicy bbq. Wow, I've never visited a Seafood City with Jollibee, Red Ribbon and Valeria inside. This Seafood City is alot smaller than other ones, but if you're from the area then you can tackle your breakfast, lunch or dinner and your groceries all at once with all the establishments inside. Parking is not bad, there's tons of parking so leave the close parking for all the Lolas and Lolos. Again, I'm not from this area, but it seemed like a nice area. The store was really clean and all the employees were very nice. If you haven't been to Seafood City then you should come check it out. They have all the Filipino essentials here. I needed to get some fish and tacos and I found this place. I also found some things I was not looking for which was nice. I found some spicy banana chips that my husband is obsessed with. On the way out I noticed pan de sal being sold and I grabbed it. I made pan de Sal sandwiches with ham, cheese, and apricot jam. The service at the register is non-existent. The cashier and the bagger talked to each other and fully ignored me. This did not bother me but it explains why they have so many bar reviews. I'll definitely go back. Seafood City is a nice option in the mix for Irvine. There's a Jollibee to the left when you enter and a Grill City further in on the right--the ideal setup for avoiding shopping on an empty stomach. The meat area currently has chicken leg meat at $2.99 a pound - nearly unheard of these days. There are whole fresh coconuts for a few bucks up front in the produce area as well. For me, the snack selection and frozen foods are some of the best offerings of Seafood City. The fruit selection is definitely a weak point. Most of the berries I've ever gotten here have spoiled the next morning. If you need some in a pinch for cheap and will use them up before day's end, blueberries and strawberries consistently for two or three bucks, sometimes less. The ideal haul here is some cheap raw meat from the back, maybe some longganisa and lumpia to stash in the freezer, instant ramen and snacks for the cupboard, and a fresh coconut or several. read more

I'm giving seafood grill city restaurant a 4 star. Because at times their food is dry perhaps it has been long sitting in the food warmer pan. However, I must say that people are overall friendly in the entire store. And I really adore and admire the hard working and service of their elderly servers especially Nanay Emilia. This location was smaller than other ones I've been to, and by the layout, you can tell it was just too crowded. Red Ribbon was a kiosk, valerio bakery just on the side. Jollibee was pretty big, and I think around the corner is another store to send money to the Philippines. You can't even tell where it ends. The next thing you see is grill city and grocery. Sad to say this...but this store has really disappointed us. We used to get most of our ingredients here. But now, they rarely have things in stock. No consistency :( They changed their meat area. And no longer carry what we need. The ground pork had all fat. And the workers no longer can get or do what we need. Sorry Seafood City, don't know why you changed up. I came here with my daughter to try Jollibee for the first time and decided to walk around Seafood City Supermarket afterwards. A nice clean supermarket with lots of Filipino snacks and foods. Grill city food looked yummy but we were already too full after eating Jollibee. We bought some puto and buko pie at the bakery to take home with us. First time trying g these goodies. I loooove Seafood City! This location is one of the biggest Seafood Citys I have ever been to. This store is big, clean, and has a decent sized food court. I love that there is also a Jollibee, Grill City, Valerio's, and Red Ribbon inside! I also enjoy the variety of Asian products they have. It's a dream in there! There's a plethora of Asian products along with tons of Filipino snacks and foods. Some of the products can be a little pricey, but you can also get lucky and find some good sales. I love the weekends as they have live cooking demos and even give out free samples! I basically almost had a full meal from just eating samples at the food court. Personally, I have always had a great experience with the workers. The first worker I ran into was June at the AFC sushi section. She was also giving out free samples and she was SO kind and nice! She gave us extra free samples and even offered to put extra crunchy topping on any sushi we bought. The second worker I had a great interaction with was Evangeline at the registers. She was just the sweetest and kindest lady ever! I will continue to come to Seafood City! So much fun! read more

I've been to the various Seafood Citys in the Valley, Artesia, and Carson, and this is probably the nicest (cleanest) one. It has a mandatory Grill City inside (when I first made it to LA, thought it was the epitome of Filipino fast food BBQ...learned that it wasn't and haven't really gone back), and has a Jollibee too (which isn't as common). I had rediscovered how good Ube Ice Cream can be when put in a fresh Halo-halo, so I quickly stopped by to get a half gallon of the Magnolia brand. I've always had a bad experience at this place but I always believed in giving people second chances but it's been 2nd, 3rd etc chances given but it's getting worse. There's a group of customers waiting for our fish to be fried but for some reason, after waiting for a long time, my number has not been called. When I called the attention of the lady who took my fish, that's the only time she went back and started cleaning my fish. When asked why other people who came after me were taken cared of 1st, she states "niluluto ko na". No apologies..no nothing. The crowd commented how unhappy these people are working here. This Seafood City had easy parking later in the afternoon, heading into rush hour. We stopped here on the way to the airport to have lunch and pick up some snacks for the plane. Like other Seafood Cities, it has an extensive hot bar and attendants who take their time getting your food to you. We decided to share a two-entree plate. It came with two scoops of rice. We chose pork adobo (fabulous) and kare kare (lacking in flavor). There's a small area with tables and chairs that I'm sure gets very busy during peak times. I didn't go to Jollybee or Red Ribbon or walk around the grocery store... all standard if not a bit small compared to the Seafood City back home in Seattle. Later I went to the bakery on the way out. I was disappointed in what I bought. The pastillas de leche were hard. A cool-looking ube pan de sal was pretty on the outside but dry and flavorless on the inside. The puto and kutsinta were okay... but I guess I was just missing the desserts of my childhood and these didn't meet my expectations. However, kudos to the person working the counter who was very nice and a good salesperson. I'd come back again for lunch and try other entrees, but I don't recommend the bakery items unless you know they are super fresh. read more

Stumbled upon this Filipino gem while shopping in the plaza. Brimming with spices, dishes, sauces, snacks & an abundance of lumpia and longanisa options. YES!! My family & I walked every aisle and got a bunch of fore-mentioned snacks; chicharrones, hazelnut wafers, dried guava, mangoes, candy, etc. I picked two langanisas (sausages) to try; both look great quality & well seasoned. The seafood and butcher area is well stocked. In spite of it's square footage, this little marketplace has quite the offerings. LOVE the mini food court options. We tried the bbq pork, bbq chicken & longanisa skewers from Grill City. Would be perfect if the food was hot; it was oddly barely above warm.
